Hey man. You often talk about how important are blackworms for your fish but could you maybe tell us how exactly do you keep and breed them? I don't know much about it but a video on them or just on live foods in general would be awesome I think.
This please! I've kept them alive in fish tanks for months after buying them (they really just require lots of air bubbling and pothos and java) but have not ever had them multiply in any way that is a sustainable culture. (though, that could have been just how many i was feeding at the time...)
I just like to add a kind suggestion as an old aquarium lover. I used to do the breeding tiger barbs this way of buying 15 small ones, raising them with high protein diet untill the females got about 5 cmm when the miles of same group were 3.5 to 4 cm. Then I used to close the ratio of 2 females+3 males or 3 females +4 males . The breeding tank is best when it is 40cm width or more when the length should be 80 to 100 meter. I used to set a fine cotton mesh with about 200 pores/inch² the way that it srayed 5 cm above the botten of the aquarium . The depth of the water was not more than 25 cm totally including the 5 cm space at the botten. The Zebras lay aggs mostly near to sunset almost 70% of time. 2 days after transfering the fishes, the males are chasing the females in a very continous pantern and if you have time, you can see them lay eggs multiple times and about 10 eggs each time every 5 to 10 minuter during 2-3 hours. They will do it the day after if you feed them with living food but meticulously controlled by means of no remnant food in the aquarium. After 2 days I got used to transfer the breeders to their own aquarium letting them have more space with high quality food when the eggs got hatched even as 1000 baby fishes. I have done this technique so many times and I used to sell baby tigers in 100 to 500 packages. The only thing that could prevent me to do it 4 times a month was limitation of my time unless I would be able to raise 4 to 5 thousands of Tiger barbs every month. I am sure that this metod works very well. With best regards.
Amazing video! I’m currently looking for a fish to breed, and those green tiger barbs truly are something else. Always enjoy watching these “breeding project” vids.
My favorite are the green also. One of my favorite tanks had 15 tiger barbs, a few rainbow fish, and denison barbs. That tank was always active. Fish swimming fast as heck.
You make really great videos! I love baby barbs! Sometimes they will stripe young but then lose stripes when they get older. Barbs are trickle spawners which means they lay only a few eggs a day.
We were a bird keeper and breeder but some personal problem we stopped that. After that we start fish breeding till now not successful economically . We are following yours channel from the beginning. Your success makes us happy. Love from india
Thanks for sharing your content and experiments little brother, can't wait to see what you end up with. Breeding danios was super easy with your tutorial. You are appreciated!!!
This is awesome content! I've been wanting you to breed brabs for a while now, but you should really consider a prettier barb that could possibly be bred for profit. The "Black Ruby Barb" is picturesque. Gorgeous but aggressive. Also, "Gold Barbs" are beautiful as well and easier to breed. Keeping on breeding and putting out amazing content. I'm rooting for you 🤟
My favorite is the green.I definitely want to get some more !I have seen the silver green tiger barbs,I bet those are a cross between the albino and the green .
That a fantastic breeding project nick! Tiger barbs are probly my favorite of the barb species! I might try to spawn these myself this summer as one of my breeding projects, thank you so much for this information, I will give it a go🙂👍🏻💯⭐️
If you find yourself having trouble with larva developing in your breeding bins before the fry have mouths big enough to eat them, you can throw BT (Bacillus thuringiensis) in there in either bit form or liquid form. It needs to be replaced roughly every 2 weeks, so in theory you dose once and after 2 weeks the fry just eat the larva.
Hey Nick, thats kinda how my first zebra danio breeding went, put them in the basket for a few days, when I removed the basket to put the danios back in their tank, I couldnt see any eggs, but low and behold after a week I had over one hundred fry swimming around the tank... what a surprise. Have you ever spawned harliquin rasboras? i'm thinking on trying the basket method, with big leaf plastic plants in the basket...
What is the difference between spawning Rosy Barb fish and Tiger Barb in terms of water chemical, because I was able to spawn Rosy Barb fish with water as follows 50% tap water and 50% rain water.
Love the video keep up the good work but I feel like some things are important for you to know with barbs. One thing to Note is that there eggs are adhesive so always check the Coco fiber next they are a larval fish so don't do anything to drastic in the beginning because it could impact development and other than that you are doing great keep up the good work
I thought the same thing! This guy can just throw some fish together in a bin and he always ends up with fry! It's amazing to watch, I want to try, but it's hard to believe it's as easy as he makes it seem lol
I only have one more guppy left in my tank with a giant pleco. As soon the guppy is gone ill be switching to tiger barbs. Is a 90 gallon and im thinking to get about 20 barbs and 20 neon tetra as well
I forgot to mention, checkout Cory from Aquarium Co-op about 4 years ago. He had 300 Tiger Barb's in an 800 gallon tank. It was awesome with all that schooling going on.
You should outcross some known strains of fish, such as golden white clouds, or albino morphs, with wild phenotypes then crossing back the spawn back to the strain. It would make for an interesting and educational video. More people should outcross new strains to introduce genetic diversity back into the strain, this would make them more hardier and healthier too. I think the fish hobby can improve their breeding ethics more.
Great content man, I’m getting ready to breed my betta and I’m super excited. I’m not sure which color to try and breed her with though. The one I have now is a red so if anyone has a suggestion I would love to hear it.
many thanks for the video, one question: did you add any ingredients to the water when ferlizing the eggs? I mean methylene blue or something else? thanks man

@@creationsbyblu9563 im pretty sure he does have a video on his blackworm set up, check his channel!
Goated comment
I ' ve some problems with them cause blackworms are hosts of parasites. For example they are intermediate hosts of tapeworms
@@creationsbyblu9563 black worms multiply asexually, you have to cut them in half and then the two parts will grow separately on their own
Greens are my favorite too. Also can’t wait to see the fry grow.
probably the best fish breeding content out there! keep it up and you will go places
Your kidding right? He didn't have a clue (no offense). There's much better info out there

The barbs fish fry are lovely 🥰
Some fry is better than no fry. Good job 👍
Males have a red caudle fin.
They are my favorite schooling fish. I'm fond of the standard color.
ive seen all my barbs have red tails but they are defenently not all male as i have 14 fish
"Puntius nigrofasciatus" u should try that one out, the males do some cool spinning when they are ready to spawn.
My favorite is the green.I definitely want to get some more !I have seen the silver green tiger barbs,I bet those are a cross between the albino and the green .

Hey bud it would be nice to see them growing up yous should make a video a couple of months down the line from breading them.
Great Job Kiddo!! 👌
The greens are also my favorite! It is so hard to find a quality green barb in the states... I bred them once using marbles as media.

What is the difference between spawning Rosy Barb fish and Tiger Barb in terms of water chemical, because I was able to spawn Rosy Barb fish with water as follows 50% tap water and 50% rain water.

Could you do a breeding guid for beckfords pencil fish?
Noticed the net with bent handle, guessing because of clearance. It would be great to see a video with your tips and trick for netting fish.
Hey your amazing at what you are doing
Love this mate! Is there anything you CAN'T breed? Nice work :)
I thought the same thing! This guy can just throw some fish together in a bin and he always ends up with fry! It's amazing to watch, I want to try, but it's hard to believe it's as easy as he makes it seem lol
if you see this message than ping this comment and with that great work keep it up love the vids!
Shouldn't you equalise the water tempreture before transfering the fish?
Do you need a heater for when your breeding the tiger barbs?
i love emerald tiger barbs
curious if you could try to breed yoyo loaches. thx
Love your videos and great tips have you ever breed phantom tetras?
Make a detailed video on all your fish food
I only have one more guppy left in my tank with a giant pleco. As soon the guppy is gone ill be switching to tiger barbs. Is a 90 gallon and im thinking to get about 20 barbs and 20 neon tetra as well
How are those pleco babies coming along?
What actualy 'triggers' the spawning? Them being in close proximinity and the coco fibers, or just the lights coming on?
what lighting do you use for your tanks with plants? aquarium lights, or something else
The thing with tiger barns is they have to be left a few days. They only lay a few eggs a day. Try for like 3 days.
10:47 why does the baby close its eyes?
Greatness
Greatt
Keep going bro
Love your video’s
There could be eggs in the coconut fiber
How old do cherry shrimp have to be before you can sell them?
Hi! How long do tiger barbs carry eggs for? Pregnancy term
Hey I'm interested in if you get worms detritus worms and how to get rid of them or do you keep them
Have you spawned rasbora before
i would love to mix some corydoras and neocaridina and for middle water microrasbora galaxy, What volume should i aim for? 100 liters or bigger?
I forgot to mention, checkout Cory from Aquarium Co-op about 4 years ago. He had 300 Tiger Barb's in an 800 gallon tank. It was awesome with all that schooling going on.
You should revisit this as well as telling us how they turned out as they've grown.
All of them turned out to be violent criminals
A couple ended up on my dinner plate

great video, stay persistent :D
What type water did you use for breeding. Rain, RODI or tap?
awesome video
Great content man, I’m getting ready to breed my betta and I’m super excited. I’m not sure which color to try and breed her with though. The one I have now is a red so if anyone has a suggestion I would love to hear it.
