I remember that house of pain game on Monday Night- what a blast that was !! We watched it at Chi Chi's restaurant on Rt. 38 in Cherry Hill- lol, back when I had friends !!.... 🚬😎
1991 was it and if Randall didn't go down the first game they would have given the Redskins a run for their money, but at that time the Redskins were just killing it that 91 season. They shut out the Eagles at RFK 23-0 and when the Redskins did play again, the backups were in and the Eagles barely pulled it out with a last second field goal. It was just the offense especially at QB that lagged behind. Jim McMahon was a good backup, but as always he got hurt at the end which stifled the Eagles offense. Dallas who was up and coming beat the Eagles for that wildcard spot and the Falcons got in at 10-6. After that it was downhill for the Eagles. Jerome Brown died in that car accident because he was going too fast down a single lane road and lost control. Jerome made it impossible to run up the middle and once he wasn't there, Emmitt Smith got his first 100 yard game against the Eagles that season. So when the Eagles did pull a wildcard win, they faced the 13-3 Cowboys in the divisional round. The Cowboys were an upcoming team. They had gone 11-5 and a wildcard win the first playoff win since 1982 and the first home game since 1983. So the Eagles were confident and when the game started the Eagles had a 3-0 lead. The the Cowboys got the ball and the game was over. The Cowboys scored on their opening possession and the Eagles just got curbed stomped that game. From there it was even further downhill from there. Reggie White left to the Packers in free agency. Mike Golic went to Miami and slowly the players that solidified that team went away. Andre Waters just wasn't the same after breaking his leg in 1992. The 93 Eagles started fast as they did in 92, but Randall broke his leg against the Jets and had no good backup and the Eagles missed out of the playoffs. In 94, the Eagles again started fast and then the Cowboys beat them and they collapsed again late in the season. The Eagles had a great defense just the Giants, Redskins, and Cowboys were better and got their Super Bowl wins.
That was a nasty defense. Did you know the Giants had a chance to draft Reggie White but took Gary Zimmerman instead? Could you imagine LT & Reggie on the same defense! ?

Rip Jerome brown
My favorite defense ever from the Eagles. J.B. was my favorite Eagle from that team.
Sadly, in today's "flag football" NFL, all these great hard hits would have also made this defense the most penalized in the league. It's a shame that this type of physicality has been adjudicated out of the game.
Greatest 4 man front in NFL history. Don't forget they also has Clyde Simmons and Mike pitts
Great upload
Just imagine if Buddy had any clue on offense, should have been multiple championships
one of best ever
Im a cowboys fan and i hate the Sheagles. But there is no denying the 1991 Eagles team had one of the best defense EVER!
imagine if they would have had an offense that was half way decent
I think Jerome brown dying made Reggie ultimately leave Philadelphia.
Not only did his death rock Philly, it rocked the entire NFL. Jerome was loved and respected all throughout the league. Great player, and a great guy.....
Best defense to never win a chip
I think this was the year they beat the giants on monday night, and Lawrence Taylor said Everyone absolutely quit.
That defense was gross. Jerome Brown is one of my favorites of all time. Also loves Clyde simmons
