We could have lost this game and still made the playoffs as a wild card. What's so ironic is that this is the game that put Green Bay in the playoffs as a Wild Card Team. They traveled to Philly and won the game, knocking the Eagles out of the playoffs.

That comeback was something out of a Disney movie. Vick, Celek, Jackson and McCoy were the players that made that team. Haven’t seen an Eagles team like that since.
Edit: yes, I know. the Eagles team this year looks amazing, but part of me feels like they’re turning into the 11-0 Steelers from 2020.
Edit 2: I got em winning on Sunday and Jalen Hurts or Hassan Reddick getting the SBMVP.

Me and my high school team had a 2 minute comeback. It was 24-10 with 2 minutes left and we were in their stadium. I caught a 73 yard touchdown to make it 24-17 then our CB got a pick 6 with 3 seconds left in the game and after that we went for a two point conversion and my QB ran it in and we ended up winning 25-24. No where near as good as the Eagles comeback but I felt like it was worth sharing :)

    • @miikeV33

ThePenguinGamez Hahaha, that is the only big downer about using the pause button on games. ESPN Sports Center app has definitely ruined a game on more than a few occasions for me. I had to watch the game and act like I didn't know the outcome with my friends who had no idea.

+krust No he wouldn't have. You think he is on Brady and Montana's level? He was just a fast player that happened to play QB. He wasn't accurate. He was quick to run when his first read broke down. He was a phenomenal talent, but he would never have been even top 25 all time. To be #1 all time he would have to win at least 4 superbowls and that would never have happened.

+Robert Nelson People are calling Peyton Manning one of the greatests of all time, and he only won 2 SB's. Most SBs are rigged anyhow and isn't even a fair game of skill. SB's shouldn't have to judge how great a player is, they should be judged on how great they play season after season even if they don't make it to the big game. Like I said, most teams are rigged nowadays to go to the SB.

That was a playoff game and Jim Kelly was injured. A backup came in and led them to the win. That was better.

No way call me old skool but the Bills comeback over the Oilers is the greatest of all time. That was a playoff game that's what made it the greatest.

The memory of watching this game with my father is vivid. The video misses the indelible moment of Giants coach Tom Coughlin slamming his clipboard into the turf after Jackson scored the game winning touchdown. He had just warned his kicker in no uncertain terms to not kick the ball to Jackson. Against those stern orders, he kicked right to him anyway, and the rest is history.

A heartfelt thanks to the Philadelphia Eagles and in particular D. Jackson for that creative zig zaging punt return. And thanks to the punter Dodge of the New York Giants for not kicking that punt out of bounds as he was supposed to do. That series of events, and final game result allowed the Green Bay Packers to participate in the NFL Playoffs as a Wild Card Team that season. If the Giants won, they were out of the post season. Once in, they had one of the greatest playoff runs in NFL history. Going on the road to Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Chicago and pulling out wins.
Then on the road to Arlington, Texas - home field of the cowboys, and defeating the 6 time Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers. Who had won 2 of those Super Bowls in the past 3 years. There they captured their 4th Super Bowl Championship. In sports sometimes a past and future opponent can do you a big favor whether they meant to, or not. This opportunity allowed Aaron Rodger’s to demonstrate what he and the rest of the Green Bay Packers roster and organization were capable of achieving.
Sharing the revenues equally between all the NFL teams (unlike Major League Baseball) was a brilliant decision. This wisdom allows a professional sports team from the US’s smallest market (Green Bay, WI) to compete on a level playing field. All teams have an opportunity to compete, but there is no guarantee of success. Having intelligent, motivated, stable management, quality coaches and players and a game plan, and long term strategy can be a winning formula.
Title town is not a fluke. The Green Bay Packers have won more championships -- 13 -- than any other team in National Football League history. Go Pack Go!
