@@jimritzheimer7465you’re definitely a fake Eagles fan and no nothing about the team Jeff Garcia wasn’t even on the team 😂he played with the Cleveland Browns that year SMH
No but he HAS to be top five. Even though he doesn't have the longevity he was/is magical. I'm going to miss him next year. He is also directly responsible for Wentz. Traded for a first rounder to Rams Howie turned that into Wentz. Then he comes back and wins the Superbowl
Foles wasn't traded for a 1st rounder. He, along with a 2nd round pick was traded for Bradford. After a season with Bradford, the Eagles held the #13 pick in 2016. They then traded Byron Maxwell, Kiko Alonso, and pick 13 to Miami for pick #8. Then traded pick 8, a 2017 1st, 4th, and 2018 2nd to Cleveland to move up to 2 to get Wentz.
defenderofthenorth52 if you think tom brady lost that game you are crazy man tommy straight up threw for 500 yards BB definitely is the reason they lost
When a team sport consists of 53 players, wins and losses are rarely credited to a single player. You've got to have a terrible game for that. Brady threw over 500 yards 3 tds and zero picks for passer rating of 115. Guess how many quarterbacks have thrown for over 500 yards and zero picks and lost.... Brady's the only one. The Patriots defense and special teams units get the most blame followed by the patriots offense for this particular loss. Belichick is primarily in charge of defense and special teams units, while Mcdaniels and Brady primarily run the offense. Belichick gets more blame than Brady for this loss.
Cold Winter Are all of you Brady fans this big of liars? Other QBs are not 36-0 when throwing for 500 yards! In fact it hasn't been done 36 times even, you lied and inflated that number to make it seem even more crazy. The 22 times QBs have thrown for 500 yards, they have a record of 13-9! P.S. his passer rating was 115 not 117...just stop lying dude, just stop.
Yeah honestly, I don't think how long or how many years you play has anything to do with if you were in the top ten list. Stats alone are never enough in football; it's about winning the big games- that's what makes players great. My list would go like this: 10. Pihos 9. Van Buren 8. Westbrook 7. Ertz 6. White 5. Bednarik 4. TO 3. Dawkins 2. Nick Foles 1. Wentz Honorable mention: Jeffrey, Blount, Cox, Graham, Jenkins, McNabb, Celek, Jackson
Nope. Best players to ever put on a uniform for the Eagles, right there. Period. No questions about it. Forget how long they played or how they padded their stats. It's how you show up and play in the big time and big game. Playoffs don't cut it and if you can't shine on the top stage then you don't belong on any 'greatest' lists.
That list shows how much of a millennial you are. I guess Riley Cooper should also be on here because of his 3 tds vs the Raiders when Foles threw 7 tds. Many of those players before the AFL/NFL merger and modern day players didn’t “pad” their stats. Go watch the NBA if you want padded stats.
I'd put him at #2 behind only the great Reggie White. In terms of effective impact on a game that is, not in loyalty. I'd put Dawkins #1 in Loyalty. Dawkins is still the only visiting player to receive a standing and enthusiastic ovation by the Eagles' crowd -- WITH THOUSANDS OF BRONCO #20 JERSEYS in the crowd -- worn by Philadelphia fans. The love that city had for Dawkins is unreal.
Brian Dawkins was good, but he was the third best safety of his era. He’d have been fourth if Bob Sanders could have stayed healthy. Reggie White is easily better, and nobody beats Concrete Charlie in Philadelphia.
I'm too young to have watch Harold Carmichael play but my ex girlfriend worked with his daughter in law. She actually got to meet him once and she said she couldn't believe how tall he is but also how down to earth and friendly he is. She told him I was a diehard Eagles fan so he actually signed one of his jerseys for me, I still have it framed on my wall... Best birthday gift I've ever received.
Pete Pihos, said of him 'never dropped a pass", tough as nail, WWII vet, served under Gen George Patton, Bronze, & Silver Medalist, definitely defined what we know as the tight end! Philadelphia's 1948 & 49 NFL Champion, an Eagle thru 1955! I cheered him on as my earliest memories as a toddler! Pro Hall of Fame inductee 1970!
Darth Vix My Dad always tells me that Fletcher plays exactly how Jerome used to play. A great defensive tackle that suffocates the run while being a threat in the pass rush, too. And watching footage of them side by side, it's easy to see why.
When it started and had him #10, I paused, scrolled to see the rest of the list... typed this comment and closed the video... Maybe I don't know a ton of Eagles history but Cunningham qas awesome to me growing up. #10 seems too low.
The Eagles of his era had a championship defense and were stuck with him at QB. Maybe if he bothered to learn the playbook or studied film or generally gave a crap he could have been ranked higher. Definitely NOT top 10.
Jerome Brown absolutely deserves to be on the list. There are few teams where the disappearance of a player like that sucked the soul of the locker room. They dedicated a season towards him. White may have been a "better" player because of what we know now, but Brown was the heart of that team just on the tip of his potential; losing him tore the heart out of that organization.
Absolutely Harry. He was an all pro player two years in a row before he died, one year with 9 sacks, the other without needing to stuff the sack sheet. Eagles Hall of Fame, No. 99 retired, and was on their 75th anniversary team. 5 years was all it took for the Eagles organization to do all those things, so how would anyone find him not worthy of a top 10 slot as a result?
No questions asked, if you know your Eagles history, you'd know Chuck Bednarik is number one by a mile. Yes, most fans today remember how awesome Dawkins, Reggie, and Randall were, but the one player who epitomizes what it truly means to be a Philadelphia Eagle is Concrete Charlie. Dude was tough as nails, never took a play off, and excelled regardless of wherever he was on the field (offense or defense).
I am a little surprised that Norm van Brocklin wasn't even mentioned. I know he spent the vast majority of his career with the Los Angeles Rams and only had three or four seasons with the Eagles. However, the man led the Eagles to the 1960 NFL Championship over the Green Bay Packers, which was the only playoff defeat for Vince Lombardi and Bart Starr. I would remove Randall Cunningham and put Norm van Brocklin at #8, moving Jerome Brown and Harold Carmichael down one spot each.

I'd move Dawkins up at least one more, but cool list. Also Jason Peters belongs on this list. Honorable mentions should include Jon Runyan, David Akers, Trent Cole, Brian Westbrook, Jeremiah Trotter, and maybe Tra Thomas
Nah dude. You gotta think outside the early 2000s. Bob Brown and Jerry Sizemore were way better than Runyan (Runyan went to the Pro Bowl once); Akers was great but he's a kicker; Simmons has more sacks than Cole; you could argue McCoy and Montgomery had better careers than Westbrook; Maxie Baughn, Bill Bergey, Alex Wojciechowicz, and Seth Joyner all had better careers here than Trott; you could make a case for Thomas being at 10, and certainly a case for Peters, but they won't get as much respect because they're offensive linemen.

Wow! So many talent from all time, proud to be an eagle fan! #FlyEaglesFly
Pretty accurate list in my opinion. We had lots of great players over the years.
My List
10. Harold Carmichael
9. Jason Peters
8. Jerome Brown
7. Steve Van Buren
6. Brian Westbrook
5. Donovan McNabb
4. Randall Cunningham
3. Chuck Bednarik
2. Brian Dawkins
1. Reggie White
@Harry Engel come on dude get real. the best olinemen in eagles history. jason peters
@Harry Engel have you not seen an Eagles game for the last ten years?
I agree with your list more than theirs lol
Putting Cunningham at at #4 is absurded enough but putting him a spot ahead of the Eagles GREATEST QB should be a crime making you my friend a criminal by my books
12 is my fave alltime but 5 was better....move dawk to 3 cb to 2 and that would b my list
I hope in 2030 they update this list and we will get to see names like Cox, Ertz, Kelce, and Peters on there. They were absolutely insane, and deserve a crap ton of recognition.
I feel like Nick Foles prob gonna be on there
@@jaym6239 definitely not. As much as I love Foles, he doesn't deserve it just because of his 2017 playoff run.
@@Fraccy regardless of his playoff run or not he still delivered when others like McNabb have not
Ertz prolly wouldn't be on there.Graham is more likely then Ertz. Kelce would probably be the highest ranked of the newer Eagles, that man's superbowl speech is a legendary moment in itself
@@jaym6239we’re talking overall career here tho
I'm 57. The list is perfect. I've seen almost everyone of those players live in a game or at an Eagles function. We are the greatest team in the NFL.
People disliking the video must be patriot fans 😂
Marquis Grant or people complain about comedians
or cowboys fans
TRUE DAT
Pats and Cowboys are trash. LETS GO GIANTS!
William Rivera shining 5 Tainted Trophies 🏆 Lmao
Got to meet Tommy McDonald and get his autograph. Such an honor and privilege for me to do so. R.I.P. Tommy.
Jerome Brown was the ORIGINAL WARREN SAPP
thats what i was thinking
Facts
And he was even better than Sapp
Brain Dawkins hard hit safety the best Eagles safety ever love that guy.
CrushingRock nah
I had the pleasure of meeting my hero B. Dawk at a meet and great a few years ago. I told him he was the reason I began watching football and fell in love with the eagles. Not only did I get my picture with him he signed it for me and took the time to have a conversation with me. Whenever I feel like crap or sad times come in my life I look at that picture hanging on my wall or watch a Dawkins hype video and I would run through a damn wall afterwards. My heart says he is number 1 but I do understand why he is number 4. Go birds!
Ron jaworski was pretty good to
If you don’t get the “QB Eagles” reference, you’re too young to watch this. 😂
Facts!
Straight up!!
Thank you Donovan McNabb thank you Brian Dawkins thank you Jeremiah Trotter great players to follow great role models I'm glad I became an Eagles fan in their era
McNabb never had help he had one receiver one year and he was on the cover of Madden 06 and offensive player of the year and I think NFL MVP for the 2004 season
The Almighty well kinda singlehandely lost the super bowl with those three picks in the redzone. All we needed was a stinking field goal. They should have played Garcia that game, Eagles would have 2 super bowls
Peyton Manning Threw 49tds and Culpepper threw 39tds in 2004, Culpepper was a distant 3rd in that year.
Garcia wasn't even on the team and he was trash
@@jimritzheimer7465you’re definitely a fake Eagles fan and no nothing about the team Jeff Garcia wasn’t even on the team 😂he played with the Cleveland Browns that year SMH
Honorable mentions to me are jon runyan, Brian Westbrook, Trent Cole and Jason peters. got to give a shout-out to shady McCoy as well
Where’s McCoy? Biggest fan favorite of the past 15 years
I just love the concept of Harold Carmichael
A 6’8” wide receiver
I just
I love it
It makes me happy
"Number 1 eagle of all time, nick foles"
@@BabyDiazmusic you genuinely think nick Foles should be top 5?? your delusional
Dhfhfh Ghfhdnnd where would you out him
He will be a hero in the city of Philadelphia for the rest of his life
Usually I have so many arguments with these lists, but I can genuinely say this list is perfect.
Tom Brady lost the Super Bowl to a backup QB.
defenderofthenorth52 if you think tom brady lost that game you are crazy man tommy straight up threw for 500 yards BB definitely is the reason they lost
isaiah castillo tom brady dropped a touchdown and fumbled in the clutch that is the definition of losing the superbowl
isaiah castillo also he did lose the game and Nick Foles did win the Super Bowl. You can throw any stats around you want, Brady took the L here lol
Brian "Weapon X" Dawkins was one of the absolute best safeties to ever play NFL football
20:04 "Spikes I'm gonna take his soul"
crazy after 30 + years to remember some of those plays so vividly
#1 Nick Foles ... glad they got this one right ....
Yeah honestly, I don't think how long or how many years you play has anything to do with if you were in the top ten list. Stats alone are never enough in football; it's about winning the big games- that's what makes players great. My list would go like this:
10. Pihos
9. Van Buren
8. Westbrook
7. Ertz
6. White
5. Bednarik
4. TO
3. Dawkins
2. Nick Foles
1. Wentz
Honorable mention: Jeffrey, Blount, Cox, Graham, Jenkins, McNabb, Celek, Jackson
Your list is a joke.
@@ghenry4513 no offense bro but your list is straight up Dookie
Good to see guys on this list that goes back further than 40 years. 🦅
They gotta bring the all whites with green wings in the helmets 🔥🔥🔥
1:28 GOD DAMN!! those old eagles uni's, silver pants and kelly green helmets in the old meadowlands stadium...nostalgia is a hell of a drug lol
“Tommy McDonald was the last one on the field to know if it started to rain”
Excellent short joke lol
11:34 why the hell is there a dallass cowgirls game on in the background on like 5 different TVs? Yikes!
Dawkins is #1
not over reggie white
No, he's not.
@@paysonfox88 There's no way anyone could justify putting anybody over Bednarik. Let's be realistic here.
Nice vid love it
Pete Pihos, said of him 'never dropped a pass", tough as nail, WWII vet, served under Gen George Patton, Bronze, & Silver Medalist, definitely defined what we know as the tight end! Philadelphia's 1948 & 49 NFL Champion, an Eagle thru 1955! I cheered him on as my earliest memories as a toddler! Pro Hall of Fame inductee 1970!
Imagine Jerome Brown nowdays with Cox and The rest of our D...
dont stop there.. dawkins at fs with jenkins at ss then swap jalen mills with assante samuels and we good
gone too soon, rip 99
Darth Vix My Dad always tells me that Fletcher plays exactly how Jerome used to play. A great defensive tackle that suffocates the run while being a threat in the pass rush, too. And watching footage of them side by side, it's easy to see why.
michael edwards mills is still my guy, il still take him over cary williams and bradley fletcher any day. he gets beat sometimes but hes got guts
I can’t his 💀
I got Brian Dawkins autograph on a football when he was at a Wawa grand opening lol
Cunningham should’ve been higher up this list, around 5 or 6
When it started and had him #10, I paused, scrolled to see the rest of the list... typed this comment and closed the video... Maybe I don't know a ton of Eagles history but Cunningham qas awesome to me growing up. #10 seems too low.
cunningham should be 5 or 6, mcnabb is 11 n westbrook 10
James8107 he was awesome but he wasnt mcnabb
The Eagles of his era had a championship defense and were stuck with him at QB. Maybe if he bothered to learn the playbook or studied film or generally gave a crap he could have been ranked higher. Definitely NOT top 10.
AGREED , CUNNINGHAM INVENTED THE RPO ! WHICH CHANGED THE GAME FOREVER!
Thank u
Bdawk highlights in 05 is why I started playing football
I am a little surprised that Norm van Brocklin wasn't even mentioned. I know he spent the vast majority of his career with the Los Angeles Rams and only had three or four seasons with the Eagles. However, the man led the Eagles to the 1960 NFL Championship over the Green Bay Packers, which was the only playoff defeat for Vince Lombardi and Bart Starr. I would remove Randall Cunningham and put Norm van Brocklin at #8, moving Jerome Brown and Harold Carmichael down one spot each.
Top 10 Eagles Players in My Opinion:
10. Randall Cunningham
9. Pete Pihos
8. Tommy McDonald
7. Harold Carmichael
6. Donovan McNabb
5. Reggie White
4. Jason Kelce
3. Steve Van Buren
2. Brian Dawkins
1. Chuck Bednarik
Top 10 Eagles of today !
1.Carson Wentz( i have to put him at one he is our future and we all love him)
2.Jason Peters
3. Zach Ertz
4.Fletcher Cox (tied with)Nick Foles
5.Jason Kelce
6.Malcolm Jenkins
7.Brandon Graham
8. Lane Johnson
9.Alshon Jeffery
10. Brent Celek (iknow he is a year retired but still foreal )
Jason Peters IS the LEADER OF birds.. this post is post playoffs. Not sure what's going on with QB in 19. We had a good season considering all the injuries.
D. Jackson
Wentz is trash you can’t be serious.
20:05 that is a automatic deserving NO. 1 all time type of story right there 💯💯💯 Takeo said he was like "I'm gonna take his soul" ... SON... Dawk was possessed #20 😂😂😂
20:06
"I'm gonna take his soul."
Brian Dawkins is just built different.
Vince Papale?
This is top 10 eagles, not top 10 best eagles.
Vince Papale is an icon in Philly and definitely deserves to be on this list
@@TBSandNFL A Philadelphia Icon does not mean he's a top 10 Eagle. His story is wonderful but he didn't make amazing contributions... he didn't even make the team the year the Eagles went to the Super Bowl. Have to look at this objectively
He's a fan favorite, but top 10 all time? Not even close.
Bucko Kilroy , number one. Thanks for the video, thumbs up.
Carson Wentz and Fletcher Cox will be on this list one day
Caleb Kinsley psssshhh Wentz will go down as a “what might have been” story...he had talent, but so did RG3, and Luck
Buns Loco and? I never said any of the them were the same or had similar careers. I said all three will share the same reflection in football history: greatly talented players who could have had huge success.
Probably Fletch, maybe not Wentz, but he still is a great player
Cox yes, but Wentz needs to prove more.
😂 Carson wentz?
Randall Cunningham didnt play for the Eagles for long but he REVOLUTIONIZED THE QB position!!
No Norm Van Brocklin?!?!?!
he was only on the team for 2 years. Hes good, but as eagles greats...he aint greater than Mcnabb or Cunningham
He's as much of a Rams great as he is an Eagles great.
iknow right
Van Brocklin was more a Ram than an Eagle.
I LOVE IT!!! EAGLES TO THE GRAVE
Jerome Brown was a beast
Trent cole is underrated. Amazing rusher
Reggie White.....best Eagle/defensive lineman of all time.
Forgot to mention Steve Van Buren almost being late for the ‘48 Championship
I'm not an Eagles fan but the fact that they left Wilbert Montgomery off of this list makes this list invalid.
Studa Baker whose he replacing on that list?
Tommy McDonald. McDonald was good but Wilbert was a game changer when healthy.
Montgomery? How about mccoy?
Studa Baker you are 100%right
No. 5 will always be no.1 in my heart.
Dawkins should be number 2
Over Reggie White? Have you lost your mind?
I met Jerome, February 26,1992 - it was an Orlando Magic 76ers game- halftime, section F. My buddy Mike spotted him. We were Section F row 12.
Randall Cunningham and Mike Vick I got them as my all time favorite players
RIP: Tommy Mcdonald (1934-2018)
I'd move Dawkins up at least one more, but cool list. Also Jason Peters belongs on this list. Honorable mentions should include Jon Runyan, David Akers, Trent Cole, Brian Westbrook, Jeremiah Trotter, and maybe Tra Thomas
yeah dawkins should be number 3 no question
@@JS-ue2si Yeah not gonna lie, don't know most of the players you mentioned all that well since I didn't start watching the birds until 04. I think Peters should be on this list regardless though. One of the best players in the league for 5+ years. Anyway, Go Birds 😤
Word.
I'd also add Mike Quick and LeSean McCoy.
This just put a smile on my face
Good list. I thought Bill Bergey would be in there somewhere.
