I skip dinner, my breakfast is at 6 am. My lunch is at noon.. MCT oil and prebiotic fiber are the best ingredients for coffee.

I, too, am an early breakfast eater and dinner skipper. Also, go to bed much earlier than most people so this is not a problem for me. Many days my eating window closes by 1 or 1:30 pm and does not open again for 16 to 20 hours. I have found fasting 18 or 19 hours to be the sweet spot for me right now. I only have black coffee and water in the morning when I get out of bed. I love working out in a fasted state.

In spite of Italian laws regarding water, San Pellegrino has similar ph of other sparkling waters (in the low 5's) in all the lab testing that I've found online.
Here's my question that you will hopefully pick for a future podcast: Brad Kearns (co-author with Mark Sisson, who you have had as a guest before) has said that consuming anything that needs to be metabolized by the body, even if it has no calories, starts a digestive process and breaks the fast by the body. The examples he gave were coffee, herbal tea, or even taking a vitamin in the morning. This was in a discussion regarding shortening the eating window for intermittent fasting. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Meh...disagree with the shallow end theory. Who wants to prolong the inevitable? I did my very first fast last week, drinking NONE of what he mentioned, water only, just shy of 3 days. Easier than I thought. Have a nice dinner on a Friday night and just jump right into it until Monday. I drank alot of water and it works in making the hunger go away. I was surprised I got to almost 3 days fairly easily. The down side? I noticed none of these "miracles" from the fast other than weight loss. Just do it, don't prolong it.

    • @sgib199

He's mainly speaking toward shortening the eating window every day, as a habit. For people who have struggled to change that habit, his idea has merit.
