    Good info. I had these tests done through a functional doctor last year. My 1gf was 181. My Lipo (a) was 14. HSCRP 1.0. Ferritin 261. Fasting insulin 7.1. Definitely do this yourself. Kaiser just pushes drugs and doesn't care about you personally...at least most of them . Also take a CAC scan. Cost me 71 dollars. Dr wanted to put me on statins because my triglycerides were in the 300's. Scan of heart showed zero calcium. Took a PAD scan which also showed clear. Dr decided no statins just continue exercise and watch carbs. Uh ya.....I know.

    Fasting insulin test? I live in British Columbia. That’s in Western Canada eh! I have been told by every medical professional I have requested a fasting insulin test from that they are not allowed to write a requisition for it because it is a useless test that is a waste of money. It is not on the schedule of lab tests. They would need to make application to the medical association for an ‘exception’.

      In Australia, doctors can still request insulin test on Medicare, but many of them won’t do so just like you said they think it’s a completely useless test which doesn’t show anything. I was diagnosed with diabetes 10 years ago, thanks to a naturopath who sent me for this test. Before I saw that naturopath, I d seen 7 general practitioners and they kept testing all the standard blood tests like blood glucose etc and ALL of them were normal. I had a range of typical diabetes symptoms, and doctors were just saying oh you’re young, there’s nothing wrong, just drink more water, stress less, sleep more, eat 5-6 times a day (which is a killer for a diabetic) and you’ll be fine. And nobody bothered to question how come a young skinny girl suddenly put on 25kg out of nowhere within 3 months etc. I don’t know why but my sugars were “within the range”, when I was ordered to do all the typical diabetes tests - my insulin and Haemoglobin A1c were through the roof. I had reversed my diabetes within 3 months of diet and supplements. All of the tests went back to normal and I had lost those 25 kgs. Went back to re-test, the doctor said again that I don’t need the insulin test blah blah. I said I had diabetes 3 months ago, he shut up and gave me a referral. The tests came back fine, and the doctor said IT WILL COME BACK BECAUSE DIETS DO NOT WORK. 😂🤡 I’ve been testing my insulin yearly ever since then. So far so good. 10 years later I’m still diabetes free in spite of their prognosis of “irreversible progressive disease”. They’re clueless clowns, drug dealers for the big pharma. The more pills they put you on the better, so why would they do the right testing and bother to give you the right diagnosis. Of course insulin test is a useless test for them lol. Insulin resistance is a serious condition, but yeah sure the test for it is useless 😂🤡🤡🤡🤡 clownworld.

    Fasting Insulin Level (if above 10 u have insulin resistance
    Hemoglobin A1C (how you’re handling sugars & proteins last two months should be 5.0 or less. The closer to 5.0 the better
    HOMA-IR (do u have metabolic flexibility. (IR-ins. Resistance) how quickly/well u can switch from burning sugar for fuel to burning fatty acids for fuel. Dimentia, diabetes-all a mitochondria dysfunction
    IG-F1: Insulin growth test that shows how fast or slow you’re aging. There are ways you can change that. If you’re over 40 or 50 years old, and if your test is over 200 or 250, it increases your risk of developing cancer. If your IG-F1 is very low, you’re very unlikely to develop cancer. IG-F1 is a growth factor that stimulates cancer to grow.
    HS CRP. Inflammation markers
    Fibrinogen
    Ferritin if you’re a woman (most Drs associate with iron levels, but it actually correlates very poorly to iron levels) Inflammation marker
    Apo E 4 gene or 4G 30% people carry this Alzheimer’s gene. This is not sealing your fate, u can actively do something to prevent Alzheimers
    MTHFR mutation determines if u can’t convert B12 & folic acid into it’s usable state

    • @elizadanu3272
      @elizadanu3272 Год назад

      If you drink black or green tea you actually slow the absorption of the iron. Also, only diet won't help. At least this is what I observed in my case. Iron is natural anyway, is a metal so supliments won't harm unless you have some stomach issues, as it's a bit hard on stomach being in a pill form. My haemoglobin is fine also, only ferritin was low, I am keeping it under control now. My lowest was 6 and I was feeling dizzy all the time. I had 11 and 16 also, the last one after iron grew to 48. Raisins, apples, liver also has iron, not only the red meat. Iron is also easy absorbed with vitamin C. To complete for the blood you have to associate iron with B complex and copper. I was given liquid one after I gave birth and had haemorrhage and it restored my blood fast.

    Why are doctors resistant to ordering these tests

    • @stilmotionpicture
      @stilmotionpicture Год назад

      Most likely they don’t know what it is, o its not the typical practices they do. Doctors are trained to give meds for the most part. Some of these test can be expensive and need a good medical coverage.
