@@boygonewhoopdataZZ I mean, I was ragging on Sig mostly for their utter lack of anything remotely resembling transparency, but as far as Bear Creek Arsenal I hate their barrels as the land diameters are all over the place and completely inconsistent. Not sure on the company's transparency on that issue as I do not care and do not buy their barrels, I just know 80% of the time we get in a .300 AAC that isn't cycling supers it has one of their barrels and the land and groove diameters are causing pressure drops.

Desert Tech was irresponsible when it took purchasers' full payments for MDRs promised to ship within a few months that then was delayed by about two years. The MDRs they then shipped were jam-o-matics right out of the box. It took about three redesigns of the gas system to make the MDRs function. Not a fan of the new charging handle. The previous one was more flush with the weapon keeping it from snagging, this one just sticks out begging to get caught on something. One thing I think they missed out on, and this is purely cosmetic and utterly stupid but still, is a full hand guard on the grip like the Tavor X95. I know it doesn't do anything and adds weight, and bla bla bla. But damn, it looks so cool! Hopefully some 3rd party will make a grip that we can swap out.

Without the "test subjects", they never would have come up with these improvements. At a certain point, you've just got to accept that the rifle works well enough and release it and let it's success in the market fund further refinement and development. Early adopters should always beware and know what it means to be using a new design just introduced to the market. Manufacturers don't have unlimited time and money for testing, and inevitably many issues large and small are identified once a product is in the hands of many users.
The rifle is now getting better and better and while I'm still not yet totally sold, they're slowly winning me over with these steady and significant improvements. I'm impressed with their development process and how they publicize improvement to their systems. It's something I don't see from other bullpup rifle competitors.
