[FF7R] Barret Solo vs. Top Secrets in

Big daddy Barret takes on Top Secrets! This one took a long time...
Restrictions:
- Allies with no materia & enfeeblement ring equipped
- No Götterdämmerung
Equipment: Steel Pincers, Chain Bangle & Transference Module
Limit break: Catastrophe
The Steel Pincers have amazing stats (101 attack/73 magic attack/+28 MP!) and abilities! 10% boost to Elemental materia, 5% boost to all elements and 20% MP cost reduction help a ton. The Transference Module helps Barret build Catastrophe which makes the Leviathan and Bahamut fights a lot easier.
Materia: Elemental + Lightning on weapon, Fire, Healing, Skill Master, Steadfast Block, Parry, 2x Magic Up, HP Up, Fat Chocobo for the tiny HP boost to survive Megaflare
Notes: Barret is a tank! Unfortunately, he moves like one - his attacks are painfully slow. Working around Barret's slow animations and mediocre damage are the biggest challenges to finishing a solo run.

well played!!! u toggled every key as if u were barret and did so beautifully. revealing barret's true potential and your clear understanding of the mob mechanics to effortlessly deal critical dmg often while maintaining high hp yet consistently taking the unavoidable dmg. bravo sir!!

You are very good!! I learned a lot from this video. I am main Barret, unfortunately he is the weakest of all. In the next part I hope he will be much more "damage" than "tank".
In the original game, he was a great DPS.

I am very happy seeing your awesome game playing again! You are very much good at using the Parry Materia. I think Problem of Barret, when challenging vs top secrets by solo, is that He cannot damage enemies like Cloud, Tifa and Aerith. When I challenged with the light machine gun (prohibited to use the pincers), it took 37 minutes. I do NOT want to challenge again...

Deadly Dodge would have helped a lot. With HP Absorb he can use it to attack much faster and also self-heal, and it builds ATB far quicker than hit 1 + Parry. Give it a try, makes Barret way better for these kinds of battles.

Elemental+Fire on armor would have also taken some of the pressure off for the Bahamut fight after Ifrit comes down, as well as turning Pride and Joy's knee fire attacks into an asset. DD+HP Absorb is likely more generally useful as it's always an option, rather than insurance against the two toughest fights.
