- Doing this fight solo with Barret can take a while, but he can easily get it done if your not looking to speed through it and play tankish. Dodging Bahamut's umbral strikes will take practice though. Beat the old time of 12:21 and there's still room to improve

You have a lot of patience (and skill of course). This must have taken a lot of practice with plenty of trial and error. Very impressive, well done! Also, the charge and jump over Leviathan and 4:41 was a very Barret thing to do haha

Do you do top secrets challenges? You did real good with the Sephiroth no materia run. I slapped myself for not thinking to build limit in the 1st phase lol
I stoped because i have no idea what to do that is new and challenging.
For Sephiroth, i think you MUST build Limit in 1st phase (with Transference Module). I think there is no other way.
Watching Barret solo is a pita, but damn you made it look easy. Nice seeing you back in action though

Is it more advantageous to use the steel pincers or were you purposely handicapping yourself? I always see everyone using Big Bertha.
I was going for solo speed time. The pincers have been the best for me so far. Big Bertha is definitely the next best pick tho
It's the end 2023 now and I even never seen the last boss face, lol..

What is this "Fire in the Hole" like sphere that explodes when you use Barret?
Which one? I use it a lot
@@jianuzzi I mean the one at 2:14. I've never seen it in my own playthroughs and these orbs seem to increase Barret's damage output by a lot.
@@missinsomnia4941 oh that's point blank. Barret plants a grenade on an enemy. Works fantastic on an enemy that is about to be staggered
It's also Barret strongest dps ability

Well I have done this run before a while ago, but it did take me a few attempts to make it faster for sure lol 😓
Why does it feel like Barret doesn't hit that hard?
He doesn't unfortunately. And his big hit use up all atb which means you gotta get it back and really make full use of skill master materia to even make a semi good dps option. I really hope they amp up his game in part 2 cuz his speed and damage are way behind all the other characters.
@@jianuzzi yeah he's damn near unusable. Aerith and Tifa hit harder and faster. He doesn't hit like a tank should.
@@jianuzziHis advantages over other characters are designed to aid the player before they achieve mastery of the game mechanics. Once they do, he falls behind greatly, which is sad.
Something I'd like to see is an ATB ability in future games that switches Barret's weapon and empowers the one he switches to greatly for a short time. This would allow him to use both gunarm and melee in the same fight and reward you for actively switching arms. Call it Right Arm or something after the old broken item from original FF7.
