I didn't. Based on maintenance records from the previous owners, the odometer had not worked for several years. I have no idea how many miles they drove in that time. I just made it work again so it will take up where it left off.
Yea, I looked for the procedure on RUclips, didn't find it, figured it out myself, then as I was putting it together I thought well if there isn't a video maybe I should make one. But I didn't want to take everything back apart. I apologize if the video wasn't helpful.
Thank you, that was a huge help!
How did you reset the odometer?

Would have been nice if you showed the entire repair
@@daveratke8889 And where he bought it.
I have the same problem with my project van (98 E250). I wonder how delicate to remove the plastic cover and the board to get to the motor.
Probably a good idea to show the actual procedure if your doing an instructional video instead of just talking about it.

Less unnecessary talking over and over
Demonstrate the damn procedure. You can’t have a job with more responsibility then Walmart check out. Please do not have children.
Yea that would have been better. The video was an afterthought I had when I was already putting things back together.
