34:17 - For any one considering why the first Dusk ball he can capture Suicine that easily. + Dusk Ball has Rate Modifier x3.5 (In the Cave or at Night 8PM -> 4AM) in Gen4, meanwhile Pokeball has x1.0 and Ultraball has x2.0 + The pokemon got paralysis, so here we add a rate modifier x1.5 (Sleep or Freeze has x2.0) + If the pokemon has full HP, then the rate modifier = (1/3 = 0.333333). If it got down to 1HP them the rate modifier roughtly equals (0.9999 = 1) . So reducing pokemons to that red HP roughly increase around 2.8 to 3.0 capturing ratio. So here by multiplying all these value we have a higher rate 3.5*1.5*3 ~= 15.75 times compared to throw a Pokeball to a pokemon at full HP, with non-violatile status missing.
As someone who used Gyarados Dragon Dance strats in my most recent Heart Gold playthrough, it is pretty satisfying to watch the Champion get completely destroyed by a single Pokemon.
My skills have really improved thanks to all the advice you have! Especially since I'm on a randomizer, and looking up move sets has been really helpful.
I prefer to play Nuzlockes fast and loose, because if I meticulously plan out every little detail, research every enemy, movelist, stat, etc., and math out every single move, then it stop being a challenge because at that point failure is impossible. It goes from "extra rules to make the game more challenging" to "arbitrary nonsense that has no effect of difficulty"

Loved this, IMO allowing gift pokemon in HG/SS is a game breaker, there are too many good mons you get as gifts, particularly early on. Goldenrod game corner - lvl 20 dratini with dragon rage (only takes like 1 hr of voltorb flip grinding) The gate just north of goldenrod before the next route to the park - lvl 20 spearow with areial ace Cianwood - yeah it's shuckle but name a better mon to switch in to take a hit while you heal This plus the guaranteed gyrados is just too much help I think
God I hated grinding HGSS, the last time I played was a mono-fire run through to red where I gave up on grinding at my team being level 65. Got a Ninetales to 75, taught it Calm Mind. just spammed CM and potioned until I swept Red. Never have I been so done with a run from just excessive grinding.
playing with rare candies is a lot more fun. I did set mode no healing items, Elite four i had my mons all at 43 when i started and by the time i defeated it my slowbro was level 51. (he basically swept 3 members with curse) For second elite 4 rematch i rare candied my entire team to 60 and slowbro and weavile swept them all with swords dance/calm mind. (fuck that curse payback umbreon i lost probably 10 times to this fucker) For red i started at 65, lost, 66, lost, and then won when my entire team was level 67 on the 3rd try
I've got insane nostalgia love for Johto cuz while I played Kanto, I got good in Johto. But damn, that grind is horrific and justified to hate that shit. I remember spending actual days grinding to get ready for Red.
Even though Jotho has so many problems, in terms of nostalgia it will forever stay my favorite region! Looking forward to Dray's update to Storm Silver, it's gonna be hella fun!
I finished this last month with Hardcore rukes after 6 attempts, the worst thing is the grinding after the getting all 16 badges, from lvl 60s to 73 for the elite 4 again. Omg yes dude. Ryu and PC are my favourite RUclipsrs atm, and its interesting how they are both doing Nuzlockes, but the gap between them is soooo big in terms of game knowledge
Can you react to a Shadylock? RUclipsr Shadypenguin made his own lock that was super difficult. Basically the only time you could heal at a pokecenter was by using a token, which you get from completing a gym i think. Pretty interesting and entertaining since it differs greatly from the standard lock, especially sincei t is extra item heavy due to the lack of healing.
It might take a while but one of my favorite nuzlockes is from the team four star gaming channel I'd recommend starting with their fire red nuzlocke because they sorta made a story for their playthrough. Also one thing to note they hardly cut out any grinding so it's a very long series

Also I love your intro how you say you're PROBABLY the best Nuzlocker rather than you know just are the best. Easy fix for nonlinear gameplay is have a different set of teams at different levels/movesets based on the order you complete the gyms.
Then how do you balance wild Pokémon? Based on routes? Based on badges? Based on your current team?

If Gen2 had a badge check, where the gym leaders got stronger depending on badges, that woulda been interesting.
I’m waiting for this guy to make a review of RT’s review of his review of RT’s nuslock

I found you through RTGame so this is the perfect video! Cheers!
Opening the video with "I can't do this, I hate RUclips" when it's a reaction to RT has aged like the finest of wine
Watching the Lance fight and hearing him discuss set up tactics reminded me of the second time I managed to beat Lance. I still don't understand how I beat Lance as a child pretty much strictly using my Typhlosion (probably overleveled + crits for days), but once I started using Dragon Dance against the Gyarados I realized just how easy it made Lance as well as the rest of the game. SoulSilver is still one of my favorites to this day though because of the nostalgia I have.
The best anti Morty is Noctowl and a lot of people don't even consider it an option, Insomnia prevents Hypnosis, Normal type is inmune to Shadowball, it learns Reflect so you can use it for the sucker punch and confusion is perfect against it.
Lugia is honestly so broken, even in more recent meta’s, I’ve legit 1v4’d in Ubers with a really annoying stall set, the ability to Toxic, self-heal, and protect and then give yourself a coverage move for steel types and you can pretty much bully anything into submission when on level
I don't comment too often, but I wanted to say Thank You for solid content. The Pokémon games were very important to me growing up, and it's refreshing to find someone play that is extremely knowledgeable as well as passionate about the subtle mechanics. @@me-le1ju they could still take damage but togepi is immune to all attacks in this gym
As it has extrasensory as an egg move
34:17 - For any one considering why the first Dusk ball he can capture Suicine that easily.
+ Dusk Ball has Rate Modifier x3.5 (In the Cave or at Night 8PM -> 4AM) in Gen4, meanwhile Pokeball has x1.0 and Ultraball has x2.0
+ The pokemon got paralysis, so here we add a rate modifier x1.5 (Sleep or Freeze has x2.0)
+ If the pokemon has full HP, then the rate modifier = (1/3 = 0.333333).
Been here since 15k subs, love how much you're growing my guy 💯
As someone who used Gyarados Dragon Dance strats in my most recent Heart Gold playthrough, it is pretty satisfying to watch the Champion get completely destroyed by a single Pokemon.

Came here from RT, glad I did, you’re great dude!

Goldenrod game corner - lvl 20 dratini with dragon rage (only takes like 1 hr of voltorb flip grinding)
The gate just north of goldenrod before the next route to the park - lvl 20 spearow with areial ace
Cianwood - yeah it's shuckle but name a better mon to switch in to take a hit while you heal
This plus the guaranteed gyrados is just too much help I think
I love how invested Pchal gets in this run
God I hated grinding HGSS, the last time I played was a mono-fire run through to red where I gave up on grinding at my team being level 65. Got a Ninetales to 75, taught it Calm Mind. just spammed CM and potioned until I swept Red. Never have I been so done with a run from just excessive grinding.
playing with rare candies is a lot more fun. I did set mode no healing items, Elite four i had my mons all at 43 when i started and by the time i defeated it my slowbro was level 51. (he basically swept 3 members with curse)
For second elite 4 rematch i rare candied my entire team to 60 and slowbro and weavile swept them all with swords dance/calm mind. (fuck that curse payback umbreon i lost probably 10 times to this fucker)
For red i started at 65, lost, 66, lost, and then won when my entire team was level 67 on the 3rd try
I've got insane nostalgia love for Johto cuz while I played Kanto, I got good in Johto. But damn, that grind is horrific and justified to hate that shit. I remember spending actual days grinding to get ready for Red.
Pokemon Challenges : has a son
Son: Loses a Fistfight
Pokemon Challenges : Proceeds to dump him in the basement
Even though Jotho has so many problems, in terms of nostalgia it will forever stay my favorite region!
Looking forward to Dray's update to Storm Silver, it's gonna be hella fun!

I finished this last month with Hardcore rukes after 6 attempts, the worst thing is the grinding after the getting all 16 badges, from lvl 60s to 73 for the elite 4 again. Other than that, beating Red in a Nuzlocke is one of the most rewarding things you can achieve in a Pokémon game, Thx PC your videos really helped
You should react to ryukahr's first ever nuzzlocke with randomizer. Some wild stuff happens there.
This.
They peaked in Soul Silver, but it is fun to be sure
They played LeafGreen, not FireRed. For one thing, they had a Weepinbell named Gourdon.
Hey PC, just found your channel recently and been going through your old content. Pretty fun stuff to watch, love watching Nuzlockes or your reactions to them because of your knowledge of the game.
Also I love your intro how you say you're PROBABLY the best Nuzlocker rather than you know just are the best. I mean from what I've seen yeah you probably are the best, but you never know if there's someone who likes to do Nuzlockes and the rom hacks but just doesn't stream, they may just like to do it in their own time and we'd never know. Just a weird observation I wanted to mention because I seriously like that little touch on the intros. Wording is everything.
Rt game is reacting to this live, right now!!!
