Awesome your right not everyone can open a head light. Buts what I plan to do. I bought a second hand pair of audi head lights so I didn't have to rush and I can change the colour of the plastic inside the head light a bit ott I have seen some cool design s and ideas but thank for clearing up the wiring no idea where the fuse box is on my car lol
I got those exact ones and they look ok at night and during the day you can’t even see them. Super dim. Mine have a cool start up animation though for the DRL
I saw this issue coming because I’m thinking of putting it on my car but my car being a 2006, it doesn’t have any modern LED strips stock so what I was gonna do is also upgrade the actual turn signal bulb to a led bulb & wire that and the led strips to a resistor. The idea is so that the resistor controls the current for both & they don’t flash out of sync.
Nice!! Flex, I have a S550 which I am installing an aftermarket fog/daytime running light. Can I tap into the positive of my daytime running light and connect to red; and the yellow to the positive of my turn signal light and then connect black ground
Greetings Flexx, I already have it installed as you explain it, it is exactly the same sequential led. I have a mercedes w204 2010 c200 Kompressor, the problem I have is that when I start the car and turn on any turn signal it does not turn on and the white led turns off, but when I turn off the vehicle and turn on any turn signal if they turn on, what is the problem in my car ??
Seems your Amber lights are hype flashing when your computer of the car clicks on. Your computer is creating that. Happened to my benz. But I am going to wire the my car just like I saw in this video.
I wired just like flex. 2014 C300. Acc on drl works and amber blinker works. Turn car on, drl works and amber blinker works for a few seconds then stops. What could be the issue?
Connected up, works perfect on ignition. Soon as engine starts indicator dosnt want to work on DRL. Tried various stuff. Different ground different live. It's driving me nuts. Order another sets thinking it was faulty but same thing
Hey, I'm having trouble getting that driver side connected to that white and black wire for turn signal. Cannot for the life of me get that connector off. Do you by chance remember how you connected yours, my hand barely even gets down there, lol
hello i have a problem with my 2x Sequential LED Strip Turn Signal Switchback Indicator as one will work on and off the other works great tho. can you help please.
So I have a accord from 99 with the turn signal on the outside of the headlight unit, how is the turn signal from the strips going to know how to sync the signal?
I've brought some of these, although simple enough to fit I was wondering if anyone knows if you can incorporate a rocker switch into the dash so I can turn the lights on/off when I want but when the drls are switched off the turn signal part still works along side the cars original signals ? This is because in the UK the drls should either turn off or dim when using head lights at night, it's the law as far as I'm aware.
The drl part of the lights uses a seperate wire for power. Just wire the power wire to your existing DRL wire (if your car has it) or wire it in a switch and you’ll be able to control when you want or don’t want the drls to be active. The signal part of the light works independent of the DRL. They have separate power wires but the same ground wire.
@@TheFlexxGarage thanks for the response, I see they have three wires, + & - and one for the signals, I was thinking of doing what you have said , but wasn't sure if the turn signals would still work that way if drls are switched off , I assume if they do its because the turn signal wire is attached to the turn signal + connection and the - wire is grounded ??
I have depo v1 headlights but the C-Led don't work I've been told it's because of the Led module Any idea where can i find it or any other solution please and thank you
How would you adhere these strips if you wanted them inside a headlight housing? Also, can they bend in an almost 90* or would it be better to use two strips, wire them together, and cut of excess DRL?
How do you feel about the RGB boards people are installing with the Bluetooth remote? They go directly into the DRL and do not require you to remove your headlights. Any take on them??
my signal goes forever when engine is off but when it starts the indicator does three or 4 flashes then back to drl, even when the indicator is still going in the lights, and wont flash again till i put the engine off and on again, tried various fuses and still the same, do mines need coded in?
Hi Flexx, I am going to install the strip shortly but wanted to clarify something. From what I understand is that for installing the turn signal you don't need the fuse, is that correct? The video is amazing and just in case I decide to add the fuse, I just tap into the red wire to connect to fuse??
Just one question. You said red wire connect to the other side and then to the fuse box. What do u mean by other side? Can you explain the red wire connection completely please? Like where did you take the red wire and and then how you brought it to fuse box. I am only confuse about the red wire I got all the other wires. Let me know. Thanks
Thanks for all the explains, do you know why if i connect the red in the +fusebox i have a lower brightness than if i connect the red directly on the battery ? 😲
Cause that fuse has a resistor that’s too strong and blocking a lot of power voltage. When you connect to a battery, there’s no resistor and it’s straight power going to the light.
Flex the benz you have what year is it and I'd it a cls63 ?One other question do you know where the flasher relay is located on a 2013 cls63 I cannot find any literature on it anywhere. Since I have a hyper flash I thought I would replace the flasher unit with a led compatible one I have been told it should solve the problem.
Hey , we bought an aftermarked headlights , and i have no daylight lights or side lights ( blinckers) , errors from sam and i dont know how to make them work.
Having trouble - After a while the DRL's go completely YELLOW I'm guessing because of overheating?.. Also, while driving, the stereo screen turns on & off randomly but I have the 5amp fuse on the bottom of the fuse tap whereas you have yours on the top, you think that's the issue here? Lastly, the lights are not sticky after 1 rainy day, what can I do to fix this?
i have the ones without the box to control the switching from daytime to running light. i'm also trying to use a battery to test it out. is there a specific battery i need to use because a regular AA or AAA battery isnt working for me.
What is the number 29 fuse for? I'm trying to wire up my CLC but the fuses are different to this. If you could tell me what this fuse is for I could find the right fuse to connect to in my CLC
Fuse 29 is for my own car. You need to find a fuse that powers on and off with the car being on and off. Easiest fuse is usually the cigarette lighter fuse because that usually turns off and on with the key. You would have to look at your vehicle fuse diagram and investigate.
Thanks for the reply bro that helped a lot and it's all working when ignition turns on. Only trouble I'm having now is where I connect to the indicator? I see a lot of people are confused about the same thing, is there a certain wire I need to connect to? And how would one go about doing it . Thanks again

You can fuse tap the white light but not the signal. Cause the signal needs a direct tap to the signal wire for left and right. In the fuse box, there’s no individual fuse for right and fuse for left signal.

Hey friend! The light will work without a fuse. However, you should really install a fuse for safety. I know they are not commonly used in the Philippines, however a fuse is designed to protect the wiring. If there is a short or something breaks, the fuse will cut off the electrical connection before it damages wiring or even starts a fire.
its accurate.. some cars have a single connector for the headlights and turn signals. The turn signal is just twisted in the slot and doesnt have any connector to it.. wireless if that makes sense.. i just discovered mine were the same on a 2018 Renault Duster..
I Hook my yellow wire to my turn signal.... when i put it on it flashes real quick and doesn't go from one end to the other... If i connect the yellow wire to head lights will turn signal still still activate the strips?
Hi, might be a silly question, are these road legal? I am from the UK so you may not be able to answer but any information from anyone else following would be good.
as long as you can tap the signal wire to your existing harness that has the turn signal. And you can run the power wire to a fuse that turns on and off with the key. It has nothing to do with your headlight except for the turn signal.
Probably tapped into the wrong power source. (And I’m not talking about the wire tapped to the regular turn signal) When engine is off, there’s a right amount of voltage power going to the strip. When engine is on, the alternator is working hard and forcing more voltage which could cause an overage of power to the led and that causes the flickering. Usually the way to fix a flickering LED is find a power source that’s stable with the car on or off...or wire in some resistors Into the line to prevent too much voltage going to the led.
@@TheFlexxGarage Same problem I have when engine is off everything works fine, when engine is on drl works, turn signal works sometimes, and it is flickering also. What do you think, any solution?
I like your lights better than your wife, both are cool, I just prefer yours. I still have my stock lights on my C300. There all LED now, that’s the only change I’ve made.
Didn’t matter the fuse I picked as long as that fuse controls something that turns on and off with the key to the car. If I picked a fuse location that’s always powered on, then the lights will always be on and will drain the battery of the car. It’s preferred to pick a fuse location that controls something basic like windshield wipers or tire pressure. Something that won’t cause major damage if that fuse was to fail. For example, you don’t wanna pick a fuse that belongs to a fuel pump. Cause if there’s a short in your new lights and it blows the fuse, it’s highly likely you’ll blow the fuse to the fuel pump and lose fuel pump functionality. Hope you understand.
@@TheFlexxGarage okay. I'm really new at this. So forgive me if my question seems stupid: when checking for voltages at the fuse box, would I just place the positive and negiatve pens at the base of the fuse to see what has power and what doesn't? Thanks for replying. Edit: what are the rings called that you added to the end of the negative lead?

Cause if there’s a short in your new lights and it blows the fuse, it’s highly likely you’ll blow the fuse to the fuel pump and lose fuel pump functionality.
Hope you understand.
How have these held up?
Not sure. I sold the car like 3 years ago.
Will it always be fuse #29 on every car?
Don’t know. I used a test pen to find a fuse that only powers up when I put my key into the ignition.
Test light pens are easy to use. This video explains it well ruclips.net/video/Hlna_kUt7As/видео.html

I have to have these.
Hey Flexx appreciate all the videos. I have an 08 C300 Sport and am installing a curt trailer hitch. My only trouble is finding the wiring diagram for my rear tail lights? Just need to to know turn signals and brakes to hardwire straight to my trailer light harness connector. Any idea where I would that info?
thats good to know it aint that bright during the day before bastardising open a set of headlights to retrofit them and disconnect the original
Can You please tell me the name of the led ?
