Had to figure it out cause everyone was asking how to do it if I didn’t have puddle lights. Tried many ways and it just wouldn’t work until I found my own setup.

Yea when i was researching i came across that conclusion too. I hardwired it anyway so sometimes i scare all of traffic with my flashing blue lights🤷♂️. Thanks for the follow up👍

Awesome video. Just a thought for any of your future videos, Would be a good idea if you could do a video showing what the OBD reader can do for mercedes and if anything extra can be coded from the carly adapter for mercedes. With bmw cars there is a few things you can do via the carly adapter wonder if the same is possible with the w204.

They flash on the dome due to canbus. You could just wire in line with a canbus resistor. Also I notice you have the same problem with the carbon fiber mirror covers where the thin piece bows outward. I just used a thin strip of double sided tape and it worked like a charm.
Yes but it still won’t work. Cause if you go to use your dome light while driving, the startup lights will automatically turn on too.
So I’m looking it install power folding mirrors in my merc how would I wire that?
Smart work, when I first saw u do your wife’s car I liked it a lot, but I knew it was something I couldn’t add to mine. Puddle lights? I wonder if that’s something I can add? 🤔
Good work bro! Glad you were able to get past the failures. I’m currently stuck on my W221 where the puddle lights only receive 8v and my puddle light isn’t working. Would you happen to know what could be the issue? Shouldn’t it be receiving 12v at puddle?

I dont have puddle lights on my w204 but at 0:59 i can see your wires the one for the turn signal(blue) and the one for the heated glass, now in my mirrors there is another wire plug just chilling out in there with nothing plugged into it i wonder if that is the puddle light wire. I need to check it for voltage, also i wonder if anyone else noticed that wire on their car?

Nice informative vid. I wish I knew about the tie rap/zip tie method when snaking wires for my dash cam lol. Also if I remember correctly there is a fuse box on the driver side panel. Only saw it on the diagram, but didn't see if it has an ACC and const power.
I learned that method from my buddy Raymond Urias. He did a lot of speaker upgrades on his Benz.

Same question! Both my cars (2013 and 2014) honk just once - but I've turned it off... if it honked 3x I'd have it back on
greetings Flexx..top video...however i have a problem with my w204.i had the window a little open and it rained ..5 days later i used the car now the windows open on start up and also the driving lights stays on when the switch is off any suggestions ..thanks
Awsome video Flexx, my question is. Can I use this same method to install the puddle light. I did buy a set of aftermarket mirror covers with puddle lights and installed the DMP LEDs into the mirrow cobers. How can I take advantage of the relay to install the puddle lights then just tap the dynamic wire into the puddle light bulb just like you did in your previous video..?! Is it possible!? Earlier today while driving i saw a w204 with a new and different LED rear lights. Do you know anything about these? It looked pretty cool and different, he got my attention with his backfire and kept doing it lol
Flexx...could U show how to connect all wire for retrofit illuminated vent thumbwheel for w204? I got the vent with the plug behind but my car w204 c200 2012 don't have the wire harness behind it. Could U Guide how to run all the wire front and rear. Thanks

Do you show how to tap into the puddle light ?
did you try to run the mirror start up lights to the light at the bottom of the door panel? those should only come on too when the door is open or when you unlock your car.
Pretty sure I exhausted everything before I did what i did in the video.
My car didn’t come with door lights. If it did, it would have the trim level that comes with mirror puddle lights...in which I would tap into the mirror puddle lights... just like how I did in my first video when I installed these lights on my wife’s white c300.
And if a car doesn’t have puddle lights or door lights, you can’t test the junction box in the door to find the power source to those 2 missing lights. The car has to be reprogrammed to unlock those lights. That’s Mercedes.
@@TheFlexxGarage gotcha. my car has the door lights and the mirror puddle lights and the mirror puddle lights are not working. removed the bulb and put it back in and it worked for the day and now today its not working again. thanks for the reply.
That happened to my wife's white W204 C300. After I installed brand new bulb for mirror lights, it worked 100%. Before that, it would work intermittently.

Can you do the same with front and rear turn lights?
I have some dynamic side lights. Working fine but I was wondering if mine would turn blue or white on start up light. I only have brown and a black wire, no start up wire which everyone says is red. Anyway I can do this or is not compatible?

Not going to lie. I forgot. I tapped in a wire and I already tapped direct to the metal tab that provides power to the dome bulb.

hi flexx i just installed the dynamic signal lights on my 2017 Mercedes benz C300, it doesnt have the puddle lights under the side mirrors, i connected the blue wire of the dynamic signal lights to the blue wire in the side mirror wirings. for some reason only the orange signal lights is working and no blue lights is turning on. Any suggestions what to do?it seems like the blue wire in the side mirror doesnt have any power... help pls?

Ehh...it’s not that bad. Any backyard mechanic can do it. Unless the person has never worked with wires or never worked on a car.

Is there a way to make it so the start up light is always on when driving?
Yes, you’ll need to tap into a wire in the door control box that’s a acc wire that’s turns on and off with the car. However, having that startup light on all the time will quickly kill its life and will be illegal in most states. You can’t have a light like that on while driving. It’s not a headlight or drl.
Hi Flexx i have a w205 without puddle lights i have tried your wiring of a relay to the same wiring and have tried several differant ways i have had no luck in getting them to work . do you have any ideas
What was the exact wiring setup that you tried for your w205? Be very specific, maybe I can see where things went wrong for your setup and help you out.
