Great video. I'm about to do mine right now as I write this comment . Your video does have 1 flaw that I saw... You positioned them backwards . This enhance the indication to turn left or right. Lights with a illumination pattern that moves from back to front could possibly make a oncoming driver pause for a second depending on different factors (distance , visibility , speed, etc..)

What makes the yellow lights come on? Because today I noticed the passenger side was on yellow? I disconnected that light and reconnect it and it went back white again. What happened?
Where did you Ground the right headlight? The left headlight reaches the battery without any more wiring. The paper says to run it to the negative battery terminal.
Hey thx 4 watching! The grounds were inserted into the connector housing itself. If u can't do it like that, connect/join both ground wires from the strips, then use xtra wire and join to the led strip ground wires and you can connect it to either the body(metal) of the car or directly to the negative terminal of the battery!

Question, already bought these, when turning on the headlights (I also have a Kia) you turn on parking lights (running yellow) also signals and then headlights. So when all of that is on does the power that’s running through to the Parking lights activate the signal? Or does it only come on when you turn on blinkers? Is there a certain wire for it? Also what did you do with your ground? If you wired it in with the harness how did you figure out what one was the ground. Sorry for all the questions lol
Hey Will, I don't know if you watched the entire video but there's a lot of info in there that would assist you! The parking and turn signal should be 2 separate wires and in your case you might have to test it if the setupis different! As far as the ground goes, there was a black ground wire on the light harness where I inserted one of the prongs. There was also a yellow wire on there as well for the turn signal. Hope this helps
Sweet! Iove them, after watching your video I ordered the lights and finally installed them yesterday on my 2011 Sportage and they really do look sick. I opted to use them with the regular lights instead of the DRL. It was simple plug and play. Thanks for the reply. Good stuff bro!
I installed the strips onto a Mercedes and the LEDs work fine but when I hit the turn signals they only go a quarter of the way across on both sides. Got any advise?
Well could be a couple things, either the strips are damaged which I doubt orrrr the stock signal blinks very fast so the LEDs has to shorten its distance in order to keep up with the rhythm to the stock turns!
@@tizz233 that's a Mercedes thing, has nothing 2 do with the strips...im sorry 😞 But I'm sure there are flasher relays 2 slow down the rate of the signals...you would have to give mercedes a call or do some serious research

What do you mean "canceling out the headlight?" These are not headlights. They are combination daytime running lights/ turn signals. The headlights on this car (and all cars that have LED running lights) operate independently of the LED strips. He didn't ever turn on the car's headlights in this video.

Ok ACC is jus an accessory fuse but the same premise stands....meaning that u take a tester and test ur No17 fuse when the car is off, if the tester doesn't light, keep the tester on the fuse and turn the Ignition on at the same time and if it lights up, that's ur fuse to tap into!! So it'sa trial an error basis for you...also you never mentioned the car you had?!
Test number 29 or 35 fuse for power when the car is off. If no power is detected, keep the tester on the fuse and switch the ignition on. If your tester lights up, that’s the fuse

bro, so I didn't install mine exactly the same, didn't want the day time running lights on all the time. I ran the red and black cable from the drl to the park light negative and positive and then yellow off the turn signal cable now the problem is the lights stop working when the car is switched on. When the car is off everything works fine. The LED strips are 12v, any idea why that would happen? I suspect the voltage is dropping when the car is switched on
Okay so I got it working now well kinda working, the running day light works fine. Just ran a cable to one of the ignition switched fuses like you did. Now the problem I have is the sequential light works intermittently and does not run all the way to the end, if I ran the yellow cable directly to the battery it works fine. It looks like I need to give it a constant 12volt supply for the sequentials to work properly not an on off signal. I'm not sure how to get around this issue. Any ideas please bro?

@@WikedWips Let’s say your on the driver head lamp. Does that make sense? Leaving the flip flop of the sides redundant and unnecessary. So were the wires shorter on one side to be closer to the battery necessitating the relocation? @@skizzlemane1 it's been so long but I see ur point!! I think it might have been the wire length 🤔....but I will say sometimes ur doing an install and ur brain is moving so fast that, at the time redundant steps makes sense until u step back and look. I appreciate the feedback !

What makes the yellow lights come on? Because today I noticed the passenger side was on yellow? I disconnected that light and reconnect it and it went back white again. What happened?
The yellow light would only come on if there was power to that specific wire...unless something got crossed 🤔🤔🤔
@@WikedWips yeah that's weird. I used black electric tape to keep from yellow wire being exposed.
Why didn't you like the turn signal function?
Where did you Ground the right headlight? The left headlight reaches the battery without any more wiring. The paper says to run it to the negative battery terminal.
Hey thx 4 watching! The grounds were inserted into the connector housing itself. If u can't do it like that, connect/join both ground wires from the strips, then use xtra wire and join to the led strip ground wires and you can connect it to either the body(metal) of the car or directly to the negative terminal of the battery!
@@WikedWips Thank you!! I ended up connecting both Negatives to the battery via 1 long wire and an easy tap

the sequential leds is not in sync with my turn signals and sometimes its not even blinking

The black rubber strip that you took off the headlight to put the LED strip, did you put it back or was it permanently removed?
Permanently removed, crazy thing is these lights still work 2 years later

That's exactly what it is. It blinks too fast. No way to remedy that?
@@tizz233 that's a Mercedes thing, has nothing 2 do with the strips...im sorry 😞
But I'm sure there are flasher relays 2 slow down the rate of the signals...you would have to give mercedes a call or do some serious research

You didn’t have to add a fuse to prevent hyper flash?
Nope...I would have mentioned it 😊

@@WikedWips what if I connect a led strip of 12 v and 2 watt power to the turn signal circuit?? Will the led will glow when the turn signal is activated??
What are those needle like things called? Mine didn’t come with them and I just want to be able to plug to the back of the headlight
Those are pins attached to the wires to make it easy to plug into the back of the harness controlling the light! Not all strips have these pins

Sure, or you can tap off of the headlight wires
What about hyperblinking? You need a resistor?
Theo Bao no resistors needed, up till now!!!
I'm not sure how I feel about cancelling out the headlight when the turn signal is on, reducing visibility
That's just how the led strips function where the turn signal takes precedence!

Hey bro,
Im from Scotland, United Kingdom
So I've ordered these lights, am looking them to come on when I open my car, where would you advised to tap the wire... cigarette light fuse ??
If you want them to come on when you open your car, you would have to tap into one of your Auxiliary lights that come on when you open the door.
@@WikedWips the fuse I can tap into is a 15A will this be okay to to put both lights into with a fuse adaptor?

Absolutely not!
Have you thought about doing the same to the rear with the red/sequence amber strips?
@@b_rad88gt2modder7 I actually have thought about it but I've been busy building my other 2 rides as well...plus working🥴
bro, so I didn't install mine exactly the same, didn't want the day time running lights on all the time. I ran the red and black cable from the drl to the park light negative and positive and then yellow off the turn signal cable now the problem is the lights stop working when the car is switched on. When the car is off everything works fine. The LED strips are 12v, any idea why that would happen? I suspect the voltage is dropping when the car is switched on
Try tapping into the headlights wire instead
Okay so I got it working now well kinda working, the running day light works fine. Just ran a cable to one of the ignition switched fuses like you did. Now the problem I have is the sequential light works intermittently and does not run all the way to the end, if I ran the yellow cable directly to the battery it works fine. It looks like I need to give it a constant 12volt supply for the sequentials to work properly not an on off signal. I'm not sure how to get around this issue. Any ideas please bro?
Do you have a different turn signal wire?
@@WikedWips it's still connected to the turn signal cable just rewired the positive for the running day light. I noticed that when I've been driving the car for a while the sequentials start working as normal.
That's strange, seems like the voltage is a bit off🤔

I did that for wiring purposes since I had everything setup a certain way. Also the base where the wire comes out would not have fit properly.
@@WikedWips
Let’s say your on the driver head lamp. If the animation is moving say toward the wire (or away it doesn’t matter in this example) it would be the same wether or not you flip sides 🤔 if the wires are placed on the strip at the front of the car (left) and the animation is moving away (right) toward the back of the car it would be the exact same if you were to put that same strip on the passenger side.

@@FamousKr3w214 yes it would but the wire in my description is 20 gauge
