My ex-husband was a huge Beatles fan. He knew every word to every song on every album and had a big collection of vinyl albums. It's one of the things that made me fall in love with him. He was the love of my life. But he was a hopeless alcoholic and I reached a point I could no longer live with it. After our divorce, he moved to an apartment a few blocks away and I continued to help him as the disease was slowly killing him. In the end, I found him deceased in his apartment. When I went to clean it out, on his turntable was the album "All Things Must Pass". I know that was a final message to me. RIP Chuck and George.
Your husband had great taste in music. George has always been one of my favorites too sorry for your loss
BELLA ENSEÑANZA
thanks for sharing your story.
May he rest, and inspire ✌️❤️
Sad story, I can image Chuck in his drunken state singing along, knowing he was perhaps too far along the road, to turn around himself. Where ever he maybe, I hope he’s in happier times and you feel comfort in life.. thanks for sharing… much love from Scotland 💙🏴
this song saved my life. i was going through a tough time at school and i had no one. i was constantly bullied, punched and called homophobic slurs. i'd always come home and just isolate myself in my room and just cry. George Harrison's music was the light that lighted my world and i am forever grateful and thankful for what that man has done to my life. i'm currently in a much better place now and i've made some amazing friends. it is true all things must pass!
Edit: Wow, I cannot believe my little comment ended up into this. I am eternally grateful for all of the kind words I have received. I never wanted to gain attention from this just simply step back and thank George for the gift of amazing music he has brought to not only me but the world. God bless you all ❤️
I was going through a rough period many years ago, and I read George Harrison's biography "Dark Horse "
And in there he gave the Maha mantra
( the great mantra for deliverance)
Hare Krishna
Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna
Hare Hare
Hare Rama
Hare Rama
Rama Rama
Hare Hare
So he said " chant and be happy "
So I used to chant this mantra in my mind at first ....being shy , even at work.
Then slowly but surely so many amazing and auspicious things started happening .....truly saved my life, 25 Years later I am still chanting the mantra as part of my meditation .
So as he said the... proof is in the pudding !
@@jackstraw9244 it's mental how music can change your life!! that is a mantra to live by!
Harry, sorry to hear this. You are important and beautiful. Good luck to you.
@@stevesmith7571 thank you so much bro. hope you have a blessed day ❤️❤️
I've been through the same. George passed away when I was 9 years old and I was starting to go through a lot of hell with my parents divorce at the time and I was already into the Beatles. But I was always listening to George's solo music and I felt like I had a friend who was there for me during my suffering. And now things are better for me too. I'm glad to hear that someone else has been through some kind of hell and that George Harrison has been a comfort to them too. :)
Lost my dad this morning. Despite battling Stage 4 Lymphoma, he suddenly passed away during the night. It hurts so much. He was not only my father, he was my idol, I was his record-hunting wingman. He was my best friend. I hope wherever you are now, that your journey is a safe one. I love you and will miss you always.
RIP
I'm so sorry to hear about that James. If you ever need someone to talk to please let mw know and we can exchange contact info.
My condolences brother
So sorry for your loss 😢.
Love out to you, brother James! R.I.P., pop!
“It’s not always gonna be this grey”. George, that got me through some rough times
This great song is from a truly gifted person.
I happened to read this comment just at the time that lyric was sung in the song. Just wanted to let you know someone had a “huh” moment due to your comment.
He meant that even though Paul died in 1966, they still had a body double. They were gaining success even without their friend and bandmate.
You can see Billy Shears' paranoid eyes when George sings that line in Get Back.
Masterful lyric, indeed.
As I sit here battling cancer I can relate to this song more then ever. Thank You George for being so insightful. Love You.
All things must pass!
You will win!
Hope you are doing well.
God bless you bro, I hope you get the outcome you’re looking for
Be strong. Don't be scared. Take each day as it comes. I survived kidney cancer 4 years ago. Lost 1 kidney but thankful cancer didn't spread. The most important people I had for emotion support was my family. I was strong & brave not only for myself but for them as well. Peace & Love.
While I do miss George, I understand that all things must, indeed, pass. Whether we like it or not.
Not beautiful music!!
What's wrong with hearing an enhanced production that gives more life to a beautiful song/album?

George's voice is so soothing, this whole song feels like an embrace
Apropos. :)
Agreed. I remember I would always dwell on my past and wish to have my friends and many other things back. But I would listen to this song a lot and then one day it hit me. I finally understood the meaning and from then on I've never dwelled about my past again.
..but thin and often out of tune.
That's what he was trying to get out of John and Paul during their last days in January 1969. They worked on this song a lot; but, "All Things Must Pass" didn't end up on the album. From the audio, it appears that John and Paul liked the song and put in the time. Maybe George's ordeal with his wife was making him grumpy and he just wasn't himself. Also, if John or Paul had just asked him: "What's your vision for this great song you wrote George? How can we convey this?", they could have finished it as a Beatles Tune. Yet, it's a masterpiece on George's solo album.

George is forver in our hearts!
It's interesting how the song begins with a reminder on how our happiness can be replaced with sadness without warning.
But then the song also immediately reminds us that said sadness can also be replaced by happiness.
The point is, don't be blinded by happiness,
But don't be too saddened by sadness.

Excellent! George would have done this if he were still with us. “Too much echo” he said back in 2000. Can’t wait to hear more.
too much Phil IMO. so any remix that brings George forward and the "wall of sound" backward is perfect
I can't wait for isn't it a pity
Exactly. This was so needed. When they did the Beatles remixes, I always hoped, but never believed, that they do a All Things Must Pass remix. This album deserves it so much... I still hope they're going to continue with his other solo records up to 33 1/3. 33 1/3 was the first one with an up-to-date sounding mix.

20 years ago today, we lost the most underrated Beatle. With the number of incredible songs this guy made during his solo career, it makes me wish John Lennon and Paul McCartney should've let George Harrison write more songs for The Beatles catalogue. He, along with John, were clearly the best Beatles, and it's a real shame that they both didn't get to live as long as Paul and Ringo have. I often wonder what it would have been like if they were both still alive, and if they would've gotten back together with Paul and Ringo and did Beatle reunions. It would have been amazing to see all 4 of them perform together again, and is something I would loved to have experienced considering I wasn't born yet to see neither The Beatles, nor John and George during their solo careers in concert.
R.I.P. George Harrison, we still love you and miss you.
George was always totally opposed to a reunion and I think he had come to hate the Beatles (the group, some of the music, the pressure etc, not the members). He had a lot to give after the Beatles and I think felt a bit repressed and undervalued. Personally, I think reunions would have been bad, you can't go back, the past is a dream.
What George gave us is a life if we listen carefully-thanks my friend
George wasn't / isn't underrated in the slightest!
19 years without you... hardly seems possible... sleep well, My Dark Horse. Thank you for being my light in a dark world xXx

20 years Its been without our George
The original is what George wanted to record in 1970 , that is what he wanted it to sound like , a comment decades later does not change his original vision of " All Things Must Pass "
Song says it all. Overlooked genius until this 3 album package was first released. Such enlightening lyrics.
Just a stunning new mix! It feels like George, from heaven above wants to tell us that it will be alright in the end, in these troubled times! With my headphones on it is just like he is in the room. Remarkable sound and clarity! Enjoy!
I SO SADDENED BY THE SUDDEN DEPARTURE FOR GOOD OF MY IDOL GEORGE HARRISSON! AT 70, I AM STILL AWED BY HIS INNERMOST TALENTS AND MUSICAL SKILLS HE HAD!!!
As a teenager that's moving to another country in less than 2 weeks, this song speaks to me. I've made friends here, found my place at school, had good and bad times, but now it's all passed and its time for the next chapter, which good or bad is also temporary and must eventually pass too.
They've done a really good job in bringing George's voice to the forefront by removing the echo. I can't wait to hear the rest. For the record, I never minded the wall-of-sound of the original mix. It was the version I grew up with as I first heard it in '70. Best Beatle solo album. Period. Not to lessen Lennon's Plastic Ono Band or say, Band on the Run but ATMP is a stunner. George was THE BEST Beatle. Just my opinion, though.
Your opinion matters and I agree with it.
I agree w/you ..and the Beatles were/are the best-
I actually prefer the original Spector produced version, this is very polished but it lacks the ethereal, dreamlike quality that was employed through Spector’s liberal use of reverb
Wish you having happy thought provoking listening this song...:)
OMG, George's voice is cutting through the "wall of noise"!
Amen to that!
That’s the difference ... you can clearly hear the words .
With the Imagine remix recently, this, and the Let it Be remix coming soon, it looks like the estates are just trying to undo the Phil Spectorisms. Good
I agree, that guy's legacy ended with him being a killer so can anyone blame the estates?
Phil Spector can go to hell with his "unique" sound.
“Let It Be...Naked” was a nice elimination of the Spector garbage when it came out back in 2003.
I remember a video George did where he said something like too much echo. This is a fantastic remix of this song!
@@atomwatt77 Anthology 3 and Across the Universe from Anthology 2 too.
This is such a fine song from one of the members of the Greatest Band that has ever existed.. The song is so gentle, compassionate, and Human.. And it's also, in every respect, a George song.. As incredible as they were, John couldn't have done this, Paul couldn't have done this, and Ringo most certainly couldn't have done this.. The Soul, the deep sense of Spiritual Curiosity, and the search for Greater Purpose, are just a part of what he brought to that band, even though he was often overlooked, or even ignored.. We know that they all loved one another very deeply, especially John and George, and I suppose, more than anything else, That is the Biggest question about The Beatles - Why was George not given more Creative Respect in the later years of the group ? That's a Topic for Another Day, and Right Now is All About George Harrison.. The kind of person that we can all benefit from aspiring to be more like.. Especially in our relationships with our fellow Human Beings.. Thank you George, for there are few people who have had a Greater Impact on All of Humanity than you..
Love You Brother... Lary
I love Phil Spector's production on the original record but listening to this song without all that echo is priceless.
Beatles are ultraviolet beams of love nothing ever will replace their days each in end sending songs to us all un finish works while being beatles
All things must pass, and George Harrison lives on.
One of my mother's favorite sayings was "this too shall pass." Little did she know how much in common she had with George!
This song helps through tough times
"It isn't always gonna be this grey"
Trust me, Things will get better 😌🙏
I'm 13, and going through a depression state. What feels like stress eating, and just overall mixed emotion. Had a breakdown 2 days ago, and now I regret what I said. I know my loved ones won't have much time left. Make the best of it, I learned. George Harrison soothes my soul, and my heart.
Good luck to you, everything will work out!
@@dbo514 just like the Beatles say. Thanks, I'm already doing better.
Hang in there, you're young, you'll have a lot of good times and bad times and learn and grow. I've been there myself when I was young, it gets better.
Everytime George says, "All things must pass," his face pops up in my head and I sigh. But as Georgie, himself, has said, "All things must pass."
When the Beatles split we were so sad and so we followed all their solo careers and George's work just blew us away, he filled an empty void. Now we're faced with an attack from a group that may have been here longer than we have but it will pass in time.
Lovely man, beautiful singe, truthful lyrics.
Happy Birthday George, wherever you are.
We miss you.
I loved his talent , his songs, his personality. God bless you George.
As Queen Elizabeth II has passed, I'm reminded of this song.
We all age, and as we do, all things must pass away.
That's life.
But what is life
