51 years have passed since this song was first released and George still makes us all feel deep emotional. You're so powerful, George! Thanks for all your beautiful songs...
Such a beautiful song. My daughter is 4, she asks for this song over and over again. She asked me if they were looking for God in the video.... the wisdom of little children never ceases to amaze me. Thank you George for inspiring the next generation
This has to be one of the most beautiful songs of all time. From those opening acoustic chords and the beautiful slide guitar that has that unmistakable Harrison quality, to the amazing chorus, it’s just pure class.
I believe it works on a sonic level as well - to help the spirit like a meditation. It's a prayer of course. A gift from George to the world, bless his spirit.
George Harrison was my father's favorite musician. We had my father's funeral on 12-14-21 and we played My Sweet Lord at his funeral. Now this song has more of a special meaning to me than ever was before.
@@1973chevycar You would give anything just to see them one more time, even if they were doing something random like washing dishes. Anything to just give you that feeling of them being around you again
I am so sorry for your loss. I can't believe, though, how this song played at your father's funeral the day before a new video for it dropped. It's like you and your family are in sync with the universe. I think George would appreciate that.
I was a DJ back in the 2000s George died on a Thursday. The news made its way round the club I was working. I was asked to play this, I felt tears start to well up, feeling a little embarrassed I looked down at my decks and pretended to cue the next record. When I finally looked up the room was in tears. Not before or since have I witnessed such a spontaneous outpouring of love and emotion. The guy was just awesome and so talented, my favourite Beatle.
There is just something about George's songs that just makes you feel good inside and makes you happy ! He will be missed forever ! God Bless you George for all your beautiful music and sharing it with all of us !!!!
George was a devotee of Krishna as the background singers are chanting. His love for his God is all through this song. You feel George's love for God when listening! Hare Krishna!
A long list of people to avoid from now on. I don't like my favorite songs butchered by some assholes trying to sell their shit. Rule of house: pause my music against my will and i pause your breathing!

There is something very special about this song that I can't describe, it touches my soul, it fills me with hope, it moves me and somehow I know that everything is going to be alright despite all the difficulties that have arisen in the last few years.
Yes, very special. ""My Sweet Lord"/"He's So Fine". George Harrison's best-known post-Beatles song, "My Sweet Lord" has an uncanny similarity to the Chiffons hit of seven years earlier. Bright Tunes, the company that owned the rights to "He's So Fine", noticed this too. Thus began rock's most famous plagiarism suit. It's a long, long story, but ultimately Harrison lost the suit when he admitted that he was familiar with the Chiffons song even though he did not mean to steal its melody. In a final irony, however, Harrison wound up purchasing Bright Tunes, thus receiving royalties from both "My Sweet Lord" and the song that inadvertently inspired it."
After watching Get Back I felt I knew George so much more & he’s even more amazing to me. He was an exceptional songwriter, brilliant & underrated guitarist & an a beautiful soul. His songs & impact on this world will always be felt.
I don't know why, but this made me cry. Maybe I was overwhelmed at how beautiful of a job you all did, or maybe it was just something I'm going through, but great job Fred & Vanessa & the entire team that put this together.
I also felt the same. My mum loves this song and introduced me to it when I was a teenager. She's now recovered but she had bad moments this year, and when the guitar just started to play I started to cry.
Was a teen in the 70s and then into my 20s. I remember this song. Back then I thought the rest of my life was going to be all fun and games. Boy..was I wrong. I miss not being afraid of life!

Weird reading this comment. I was 24 at the time, going through dark times, and also listening to All Things Must Pass often. Much love to my kindred spirit!
One of the very few songs that you can instantly recognize right at the opening chords. I think George's talent was so underrated... if people took the time to actually listen to his music even after the Beatles... he is STILL greatly missed...
I don't think George was "underrated." As a Beatle and ex-Beatle, he sold millions upon millions of records over decades. He's been recognized by the R&R Hall of Fame (which may not mean much, but it works here). He may always be seen in the light of John and Paul, but that's just Beatle dynamics. The fact that all these actors and personalities are assembled for this video doesn't really jibe with being "underrated." Perhaps we want him to be "more celebrated" but that's true for any fan's favorite artists.
@@teamEP789 george harrison is definetly underrated, he has only 2 or 3 popular songs despite having easily the best solo discography of any former beatle
Thank you Dhani and Olivia for keeping George’s memory and music alive. What a fun video! I love that Ringo, Joe Walsh, Jeff Lynne paying tribute to their friend with so many others. Just beautiful.

This song and its album saved my life when I was a teen. I was severely depressed and I would listen to All Things Must Pass over and over again. Those songs gave me a sense of peace and they still do now. Still my favorite album of all time.
I found this song the day my grandma died from covid. All day long I just wanted to listen to this song. Everytime I hear this song now I think of her. I hope all the loves one you might've lost from covid are with our sweet Lord now 🙏❤️Thank you George Harrison for this beautiful song💖🕊️🕉️
I have no idea what this video is about or why it even exists in the first place, all I know is George Harrison was an amazing musician, and it seems like they all had a blast honoring him with this piece of art.
I'm thinking they are doing a take like "Men In Black" or "X Files" where agents are investigating a mysterious force at work. The two agents finally catch on when the song comes on the car radio. Anyhow...it was great to see Jeff Lynn and Ringo Starr. ✌
Olivia Harrison is class personified. The wife she was to George, the mother to Dhani, and the woman she has been in the face of George’s passing. Words cannot do her justice!
What do you mean? Makes me wonder about the kind of person you are if you think being a normal widow left millions and millions is a really great thing! What would you of done? Pissed on his grave? ...I hate when people talk rubbish, she was his wife, this is her job, she was nothing to George, no one meant nothing to George the way it is for all spiritual people. People are no more important then a pair of trainers, this is Georges words and the being spiritual is. It annoys me when people think they are spiritual by being nice when it's about not even caring. She has done nothing of great merit? I have heard none of her songs? Only has one son! Which is awful!
@@dondamon4669Dude! For one thing, George loved his wife. He wrote a whole song about her. And Second, just because someone is spiritual doesn’t mean that they don’t care about anyone. It means they care about everyone not only with their hearts, but through their spirit and what they believe in. Finally, just because she didn’t save world hunger or whatever, and because she didn’t make much popular stuff, and just because she only had one son, doesn’t make her a bad person. Me personally, I think that the one who needs to be worried about is you, sir.

This has been my favorite song since Christmas 1970...such good memories of a much more innocent time, painted and expressed by a master craftsman. The opening guitar riffs still send chills down my spine; the transitions, especially when the percussion kicks in, are just amazing. My mother is 96 now. She has always been a busy (if somewhat troubled) soul. I remember this playing on the radio while she was working in the kitchen in the 1970's and she stopped still like a statue - to listen. I asked her if she liked it she said " Yes - maybe the world will be alright." ❤
Me arriesgo a decir que es la mejor interpretación cantada que he escuchado a lo largo de mi vida hasta ahora con mis 33 años..VIVE POR SIEMPRE GEORGE HARRISON..
George yearned, and shared his love and longing in this piece. How generous he was, how vulnerable and courageous to open his heart to us. We are privileged to see into his very soul. Bless you, George, and thank you.
George died just 10 months after I was born, merely passersby that didn’t know of each other’s existence, but 20 years later I can say I’m happy to have been alive for even a slim amount of time as, in my opinion, the greatest musical talent of the 20th century.
It's the same for me. I was born less than a year before his death just like you, and my parents both happened to be staying in the same areas he did as he was being treated (Hawaii & NY). He's had a huge influence on my family since before my time and it will be carried on after me as well
This comment gave me chills. I was in college when George died and it blows my mind (and is so touching) that there are still people born even after (or right before that) who still love his music. But then again, I was born two years after John Lennon died, and always felt a little sad we weren't alive at the same time.
This song takes me back to August 20th 1973, the day my family moved into the house I grew up in. The neighbor kids on the street saw the back yard swing set and merry-go-round unloaded from the truck. We ran around to the back yard. I was sad from leaving my best friend at my old house in Garland Texas behind, but on that day, there were lots of kids to play with. As we ran to the back yard, our Japanese Neighbor was working on his van, the radio was on. From the radio Came ‘My Sweet Lord’. It was the start of something new and hopefully better. Everything was green and summery and the air smelled of new mowed grass. The moment was fixed in time and in my memory, I never want to lose it. My life was long then, I was young and there was time to kill. The song set the tone of the day, but the moment passed. Now some 48 years later, the memory still seems like yesterday. I think of that day when I hear ‘My Sweet lord’. I miss it. In the video, when they turn on the car radio and the song started playing, it really took me back. That one little part brought it all back to me again. It made me smile. Thank you for reading this.
It’s the beautiful magic of music! Thank you so much for sharing such an amazing story, we all have those songs that just take you back and for a moment you’re there! In that memory, we’re so lucky to have music and songs as great as this one that can just teleport you.
My grandfather recently passed away. he would listen to the beatles all the time, showed me this song one time. even though im not christian, this song will always be close to my heart. living in a world without him seemed impossible without him. but he's still here. guiding me spiritually.

The best thing that came from The Beatles breaking up was George Harrison's freedom to share his ability to be as creative and imaginative bringing his Art to the world wide open to receive his songs 💕🕯🕊 I would always hear " My Sweet Lord" on my Dad's AM car radio "All Things Must Pass" had just been released. George's brilliant spectacular and transcending lyrics and music made us pay more attention to his lyrics. Hearing him expressing what was sitting inside of him all along, but couldn't get it out because of Lennon and McCartney.. You are my favorite Beatle, George Harrison still till this day. Maybe Olivia and Dhani has more music we haven't heard from George's Library? I can't wait to hear more of untapped music of George's songs, may I hear them before I pass from this earth. Peace ✌🏼Love 💞 Namaste 🕊& Take care of Earth & her people...🌈🙏🏼 .
George actually released 2 albums before the Beatles broke up. And in "Get Back" you can see George talking about doing his own album and John encouraging him to do it. The Beatles didn't hold hm back at all.

It’s sheer perfection, buddy.
@@dougfargher2661 yes it’s rubbish because it’s all references to Satan. I just realized this watching this video. what this song is really about. The Beatles were in the illuminati. There are at least 3 different symbols all symbolic of lucifer. George’s all seeing eye peeking through the flowers shaped like a pyramid. Pause the video and read what the popcorn menu says. This music video is both a warning full of messages and full of people that are all in the cult of Osiris. Better known as the Illuminati.

You can recognize most songs by a few opening chords.
Name That Tune disagrees

Olivia Harrison is class personified. The wife she was to George, the mother to Dhani, and the woman she has been in the face of George’s passing. Words cannot do her justice!

@@dondamon4669Dude! For one thing, George loved his wife. He wrote a whole song about her. And Second, just because someone is spiritual doesn’t mean that they don’t care about anyone. Finally, just because she didn’t save world hunger or whatever, and because she didn’t make much popular stuff, and just because she only had one son, doesn’t make her a bad person.
He's had a huge influence on my family since before my time and it will be carried on after me as well
in my case, it was John Lennon who was killed about 3 months after I was born.

Never tired of hearing George Harrison 's songs 🙌
It touches Soul and it keeps him alive in our hearts and makes him immortal 🙏
My grandfather recently passed away. he would listen to the beatles all the time, showed me this song one time. even though im not christian, this song will always be close to my heart. living in a world without him seemed impossible without him. but he's still here. guiding me spiritually.
This was wonderful. I love how chill this song has always been.

@MBG BadBoy don't care
No image of Jesus in the whole video. This sure was a 2021 liberal version.
@@ricogomez4020 oh shut up lol
@@neville2308 Well, it's true what I said!
The appreciation for George Harrison only seems to be growing. I think that's fantastic.
This song was a light of hope in the confinements of the pandemic, I started with this one and ended up sheltered in the beautiful melodies of all the George Harrison masterpieces, thank you for the inner light.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful memory with us. ❤
You’d have to be a pretty damn iconic trio to be who everyone is reminded of when such an iconic song like this comes on. A true testament to the joy Clarkson, Hammond and May have brought us all for 22 years. Thank you chaps
The best thing that came from The Beatles breaking up was George Harrison's freedom to share his ability to be as creative and imaginative bringing his Art to the world wide open to receive his songs 💕🕯🕊
I would always hear " My Sweet Lord" on my Dad's AM car radio "All Things Must Pass" had just been released.
Peace ✌🏼Love 💞 Namaste 🕊& Take care of Earth & her people...🌈🙏🏼
.
George actually released 2 albums before the Beatles broke up. And in "Get Back" you can see George talking about doing his own album and John encouraging him to do it. The Beatles didn't hold hm back at all.
@@reghunt2487 Lennon & McCartney only allowed George sometimes one song or two. Otherwise we would seen more songs by George Harrison on the Beatles album.
Thank you for commenting this. ❤️
Lennon and McCartney could never match up to the talent Harrison had. The Beatles breaking up was the best thing for his creations to shine. Otherwise he'd always be under the shadows of Lennon and McCartney.
