So yes I've bought an N54 335i without being able to view it. Let's see what mess we get into.

Yes man like Hamza What a video this was love these types of videos I enjoy all this content bro u put out on all your cars bro it learns people some knowledge about cars and bits n bobs on how to work around a car on removing bits from different places and then putting the new bits that they have and put them in where the old ones came from

I've got an e92 335i, with upgraded hybrids and it's running about 510hp with coilovers, big brake kit, all the bells and whistles. It's had a lot of problems so I'll just say what I'd check. O2 sensors will go so get them changed. Check boost solenoids, vacuum lines and keep an ear out for wastegate rattle. Check the coolant pipes as well as they're brittle under the heat and mileage. Obviously battery goes as well but I know you're doing that. Water pump, hpfp and lpfp. And check your injectors as well. When these cars are running they're a dream to drive, just take a lot of maintenance. Hope you can get this sorted mate 👍
You should go single turbo. Would be really interesting, there isn't much information or many kits for rhd st conversions. Can't wait to see what you do with this, I've got an E91 N54 👌
Would be cool just depends how much it’ll cost. The RHD manifolds don’t sound too great from what I’ve seen - quite fancy some eBay hybrids though 😉
@@TRHamza yeah it's gonna be a big build isn't it, 10k+ easily realistically... Port injection and fueling upgrades etc that come along with it for a good st build after buying your manifold dp and turbo... It's gonna be a lot. Then the cost of all the maintenance your car will need haha... Would be crazy tho and you got the MT to go with it! Would make for some killer content... First of its kind in the UK🤷🏼♂️ lots of 17t/19t builds out there mate... I'm excited either way and I'll be telling all the N54 mandem to watch this space bro 👊

Single turbo is the new black tho.
I’m a VAG guy but not gonna lie the E92 is a timeless car still looks so good. N54 great engine but had way too many issues.

On start up it's got a timming chain noise the hydraulic tensioner is knackered and would needs complete timming kit buddy we are in Chadwell heath and very reasonable in prices 👍 jim

@@TRHamza totally, from every angle they are just beautiful. Friend had one, an SE like yours, he had started the MSport bumper swap etc and had mild map , delimited + exhaust rework, it drove spectacular grip wise on the SE springs especially at the drag days (some random footage of a 4th gear run etc on channel, just dumped the stuff I had on the phone of it on YT incase it got lost) and kept pulling even when the clock was filled! Just subbed to your channel so I can see how this shapes up👍
I bought so many bangers in my 20's from the auctions, everything from a Yugo Zastava to a Nissan Bluebird. It's good fun
Woohoo nice car. I would suggest doing as much preventive maintenance for the n54 as you can think of and pray the injectors don't have issues xD
Had the e90 335i back when they were modern. That engine is awesome. The first modern turbo petrol bmw did. The S55 m3 engine was actually based and designed around the this n54 been twin turbo charged. Awesome engine very powerful even by todays standards.

I had an E92 335i for a few years (N55) and to be honest I was happy to see it gone.
Brilliant car, with the drive, noise and presence, but everything in it was HEAVY as you say Hamza. Heavy steering, terrible for around town, not enough column reach adjustment, the doors weighed a bloody ton and I can't say I was too sad to see it go. Replaced it with an F30 335i sedan and its a KILLER car. Much more comfortable, beautiful day to day and I'll have it a long time I reckon.

I’d get a new battery in it, bmw’s are known to throw all sorts of random faults when the battery is knackered. Wouldnt be surprised if the ELV is something to do with that. CCC idrive is known for failing (there is a guy on eBay from Birmingham who repairs them)
CIC is a great upgrade but very pricey!

I think I saw this car on the auction pages when I was looking for one. Couldn't take the risk as I needed something I could jump in and drive straight away. I bet it will be mint once you've sorted the issues out

ive just stopped 2 weeks ago putting unleaded 95 in my 1999 728i ive changed to shell v power 99 a bit dearer but what a massive difference on MPG, And perforemance its like a new car .sticking to v power 97, 99 .
Hopefully the problems were not actual problems. Low battery voltage can throw off the functionality of the sensors throughout as they are trying to operate outside of tolerance.
Okay so my thoughts on the new setup with the wide shot during the intro, I think I would prefer you holding the camera while talking, helps us to stay connected and engaged with you directly, but it definitely works for timelapse stuff
Coolant jar in the trunk should have turned on a warning light ;-) I drove an M5 performance today, it's a 2 tons car so it's heavy. It smokes when you accelerate (worn valve guides?), rattles when turned on, chain tensioner? etc. etc. etc. The engine is not solid if it hasn't been serviced regularly, rod nock, vano ... It was an expensive car and it's expensive to service.

What is the most reliable E90 platform engine diesel and petrol engines? Preferably I'd like a diesel. There are some many E90 platform cars around but obviously they are cheap for a reason. First time viewer...just subscribed!

That checksum error is normally a bad map, had a few with that on msd80/81 DME
i bought a 325i accident damaged it had that same steering light but it only came up but on a bosch kts code reader no codes came up for the steering light cut it was due to a bad battery once you put a new battery it should remove the light hopefully unless there's an actual problem with the steering which it doesn't seem like it the way it was driving
The I drive is not coming on because it's somehow linked to the back headlight . Check the back headlight . Same problem happend to me on my bmw 320i

My 2004 E64 645ci’s iDrive screen just went blank one day. I just bashed the top of the dash above the iDrive screen and I am guessing it was a dodgy connection, give it a go!

Most if not all of those fault codes will be down to having low voltage, if you put a fully charged battery on it and clear them they won’t come back

Timing chain is stretched. Wild rattle when you started it up at the main road
Oil pressure needs to build it will always rattle on start

I have same car like you . Only gearbox I have auto. At this moment I have over 450bhp. But I spend over 4k for maintenance and upgrades

I’ve got 19T hybrid turbos on mine, just waiting to do the cold step colder spark plugs and should be able to be pushing around 600, would love to see what route you take, my mate has a single turbo N54, we both took completely different directions but honestly love it, really looking forward to what your gonna do
Damn used car prices are mad these days, I got mine in 2019, 2007 M sport model with same mileage with no issues for the same price! although this is actually a very well specced model, the piano black interior trim is quite rare and I've never seen one with TVs in the back lool
of course a year later everything started leaking (especially coolant) so when I saw that bottle of G48 in the boot I got PTSD lmao

She has a rear seal gasket leak, valve cover leak, transmission slipping, gearbox sucks, needs water pump and thermostat, ignition coils, spark plugs, new brake lines, brakes, rotors, new charge pipe, turbo lines, new turbos, wiper fluid revisor leak, new hood, new grills, new front bumper…….. yup

@@TRHamza I agree mate, the press at the time was hyped by the fastest production diesel at the time. If you are thinking of going single turbo at any point, leadfoot racing have done a few in the uk and their kits look really good
I wouldn't go leadfoot racing. They guys ruined a few N54 single builds now and the workmanship isn't there I'm afraid
There's a guy on our group that's close to releasing a single RHD manifold for production. So I would wait for better options
