You are a life saver! You have saved me days, or possibly weeks, of tedious gameplay.
Crucial info before using this exploit:
• Starting at the Save Crystal/Kanbhru Pis, have one character in the party, namely Vaan.
• Remove your Weapon and Off-Hand so that you are Unarmed.
• Helm and Armor should not have beneficial effects. If they do, either change them to normal gear or remove them.
• Equip Diamond Amulet as your Accessory.
Now you're all set to proceed the following!
1. From the save crystal, enter the central pathway (three pathway split)
2. Zone in and out 14-15 times (discounting the first entry of crystal peak, where Ultima was)
3. A chest appears. Stand near it until the exclamation mark appears above player's head. Attack oneself 10 times (9th time should be a four hit combo)
4. Open chest to receive Meteorite. Zone out of the area and zone back in. Another chest appears. Open it and receive the Gendame Shield.
5. Leave the area and save at the Save Crystal. Close application and start up FFXII again, load up your save file.
6. Rinse and repeat until you've at least Crucial info before using this exploit:
• Starting at the Save Crystal/Kanbhru Pis, have one character in the party, namely Vaan.

not tested yet, but it depends on what value its set to appear in the chest on the RNG Table. it might or it might not be the same. Im still a few hours away from that point aswell so cant test at the moment will likely be able to tomorrow though.

i must be extremely unlucky doing this for last 45 minutes and RMG doesnt seem want to cooperate , any advise?
I don't know why but i cant 4 combo myself at the 9th turn. Did i do anything wrong? I didnt equip any weapons and have diamond armlet equip. And using only 1 party. I get only 2 combo at the 9th turn or none at all
make sure you have no buffs on and make sure you dont cast any buff spells via gambits. Finally make sure to close the application and go back to the ps4 dashboard to reset your RNG

Yeah I think the only difference is the number of zones. If I remember right, it was 17, or 18. After finishing all of the hunts available, I'm about to do Giruvegan, so I'll definitely be getting that!

The combo of 4 hits in a row does not work ... maybe this technique does not work on PC, like for the Seitengrat. I got the meteorite and when I go out and enter this same room: no chest.

Another great video! As it's a shield, does that mean you can only equip 1 handed weapons with it (daggers, 1h swords etc) just like the other shields? Otherwise this would mean sacrificing a lot of damage if you have weapons with higher damage such as the Tournesol or whatever.
Divizoro not if you get the trango tower an invisible 1 handed sword with insane attack combine that and the trango tower and you got a tanking attacker

Divizoro you can get 1 from zodiarc as his rare steal if I remember right
You can get a trango by stealing from zodiark in story mode its his rare steal, as for the RNG manipulation ill be testing a few things out tonight for that. In regards to 1 handers theres actually some really good one handed weapons. like Trango Tower (2nd best weapon in the game and anybody can equip it),
Karkata, sure only 92 attack however its a 100% confuse on anything that isnt compeltely immune to it
Kumbha one of the best weapons in the game and has a very high combo rate with 117 attack pair this with the genji gloves and you have the highest combo % in the game.
Golden Axe is another high damage weapon with 120 attack.
So theres quite a few good weapons that can be used with this shield.

Edit: After researching a little more it appears this method doesn't work for PC and a new method hasnt been found yet. i tried the chest for a while anyways and opened 20-25 chests and no luck.
Definitely not working on steams. during the 8 hit i got a 3 combo over than number 9th hit 4combo
When is the trial mode floors 91-100 guide coming? I have a file saved for 91 just waiting to see if there is any good steals other then one from one of the judges at floor 100. I'm level and some how made it all the way to 91 😂. Pure luck!

i've been doing this for pass hour and not working, all gambit turn off no armor that boost . does anyone know what to do how to fix my rrng because this isn't working for me at all.
are you completly closing your game to reset your rng counter? RNG manipulation is a completely set in stone method, do it right and it works 100% of the time, do even 1 thing wrong and it will fail 100% of the time

Now do the trick for Zodiak Spear if it exist. There is a chest at Henne's Mines, 2 locations next when we fight Tiamant, and the chance of appaear is only 10%, and the chance of getting the ZS is 1%.
that only worked in the original 12, not the remaster (Zodiac spear is also terrible in the remaster since there are multiple weapons stronger than it)
@@Primalliquid92 yeezzzb, cant believe, I also played the two versions IJZS and the normal on the PS2 and at the second Ive got 3 ZS doing the trick (2+1 that U get normaly not opening 4 specific chest in the game) but I have no oportunity trying on the JobSystem, that one have an extreme lvl of difficulty cuz one time U choose a job, U cannot come back and the Licence Tables are unique and different for each one
@@Primalliquid92 but ZS has the max damage atack (255 if I do not miss) even more than the Tournesol and the Wymero Blade (and no negative effects)

I have all gambits off and can't get her to combo on the 9th hit. She did 4 hit combo after I attacked myself twice though lol.
the initial amount of hits can change depending on your starting RNG seed, however once you get to the 4 hit combo you can follow the video as normal.
Ron Turturici I only get single attacks, no combos. But when I single attack myself 16 times, I get the Gendarme right in the chest. I have two now.
never got the 4 hit combo on 9th attack but 16 single hits worked instantly, thanks for sharing ^^

lv70 carrot boss in time trial steal from him it took me 7 reloads of autosave attempts b4 I got it. make sure to collect 3 ribbons lv49 boss steal. or else lv70 us gonna be hard since it caste bad breath on you.

something going wrong for me 1st attemot all went exactly same as urs but after getting meteorite and zoning out and bk in i got no chest, 2nd time after 9 hits on self i didnt get 4 hit combo still followed it to and hit for a 10th tim got gil, 3rd time no 4 hit combo again even to i couting as i doing it ive even removed all bar diamond armlet im stumped any help be great

I tried this method (and other variations from other videos), and it's not working. I tried using Basch and then Balthier, then Ashe as my party leader, with Reddas as a guest (who sources tell me doesn't affect the RNG). Can't use the other characters bc they all have Brawler.

Gendarme is french. It means street policeman ! It's pronounced "Gen" with the dz sound like in "gen-eration" and "arme" like an arm. No "-eh in the end, which makes it sound spanish. Same for main gauche, left hand in french. Gauche, with a strong shhh sound, and no "-eh" in the end. Being French, it's hard not to mention these mistakes, which I perfectly understand ! Don't get me wrong, I love your videos! It's just a matter of common knowledge that I wanted to share with you guys. :)
That is true, its named after the street policemen.. A gendarme is a pinnacle of rock on a mountain ridge. As with all the secret new weapons/armor in ff12 zodiac age they are named after mountain related things. :)

Primalliquid when I attacked myself I died..
then you did 1 of 2 things wrong.
1. you still had your weapon equiped
2. you have brawler learnt and didnt equip a shield.
Primalliquid your right I had brawler learned with vaan. I used balthier instead and I got three gendarme. So your video was awesome. Thanks!!
It does kinda take the piss out of playing the game for fun.
But then, having a set of broken gear for everyone lest that ONE bit of nigh-impossible content (for me, back in the day, was Pharos. Hated that tower) just cannot be beat the easy way...

Tried this and unfortunately my character doesn't do zero damage to themself, so oh well. Guess this doesn't work anymore

for some wierd reason i cant get 4hit combo
do you have any gambits on that are using actions such as cure or potions, or maybe buffs? if so turn them off and start again but also remember to quit to the ps4 dashboard to reset your RNG
Forgot to turn my gambits off with this but found if you attack until you get a 4 combo(usually about 6th-7th) even if the last attack you have to do kills you, swap in someone with Diamond Armlet and just continue the method by picking up the meteorite and it'll still work.

Blank _ the theory is that they're play tester weapons. It's a bit annoying to me
there is no theory, there confirmed developer weapons which were used when testing the game and got left in by accident in international zodiac job system (the japanese remake of ff12) and they left them in for the zodiac age as a nod to the mistake

These were in the PS2 Verson (this game is NOT the same as the FF12 that released in EU/NA, its a remaster of the japanese only IZJS verson of the game)

He clearly means the EU version and he is right. Even easier with the Trial Mode items being brought into your game. Not slating it but thats what he means. I'm not getting any of the invisible stuff until playthrough two. Appreciate the guides though man. What is RNG?
Random Number Generator. For example say the RNG go's upto 255, everything you do will advance the RNG a different number of times for example 1 step might give +1 to your RNG or it might give +10. and the chest in question might only spawn on 14 RNG or 60RNG so we do a series of actions to ensure our RNG matches up with what we need.
