- The Seitengrat! The legendary invisible Bow with 224 ATK and 75 EVa! Thanks to Absoludicrous there is now a way to almost guarantee you can get this weapon. I have just picked up my second bow & I will show you how & where to get the weapn. also a method to get a higher chance at spawning the chest. This weapon is so overpowered it may ruin your enjoyment of the game, so obtain at your own risk!

I now have 3 of these things lol. I can't get over how it was a pain at first. After trying so many times, I stand by the time method and the zoning in. Also to those who say why get the the bow, I say go for it you've conquered the game before. I have just about 99.9% the game a once, and I never had one the best weapon in the game. The best items for me were when I would get the ribbon later in game, and the weapon the game easily gave up during that time. So for me to finally get the strongest weapon in the game being only less than half in is great. Thanks again lemon for the vids. Keep it up 😁.

I got 3 in the span of 30 minutes doing the reks rng manipulation trick. Worked every time.
Yeah its amazing.u use cure on reks by the save crystal and u look for cure numbers 88 97 and 90 then load the auto save and watch the npc run up and down the stairs 4 times works 100 percent.u could fully endorse that method .ur vids are great mate keep up the good work

My timer was on 19,3-19,4 to get the chest.
I am on a ps4 basic with digital version of the game.
PS4 Pro here too: I was consistently getting them by pressing X at the door within milliseconds after 19 seconds was reached my stop watch. I got three in a row with this method.
Just got it on ps4 5/20/23 thanks dude this is the only way iv been able to get the bow.
This worked for me, thanks! However, I would insist that people wait to get it until they're closer to the post-story part of the game because it is game-breaking until that point.
You can get it after returning from Rabanastre with Basch from Barheim Passage. Once the Moogling is open you can go to the aerodome and fly to Nalbina

@@syahriyanatlanticasejati575 I think there is two differentd methods for ps2 (zodiac version and ntsc version). But not this one. You cant autosave on ps2

I've gotten this chest to appear 5 times, with the diamond amulet and waiting for the kid till the right moment I still cannot get the bow

Can you respawn the chest after getting the bow during the same flight to nalbina using the close app technique or do you have to land, go back to rabanastre and book flight all over? Also THANK YOU this vid got me my first seitengrat!!!!
Finally got this using the Reks method of cure on Reks at the first save point of the game and trying to get the sequence of cures 97, 94, 95 or 88, 97, 90. I then used the kid running method once the chest was spawned. I don't know who's method the Reks cure method is but it worked for spawning the chest.

I want to share my experience on this I was ready to give up but gave it a last go. I used the reks method the cure combination 97-94-95 guarantees chest spawn I can confirm this tried it alot and 100% spawn rate. Opening the chest I used the child and parent method and it works no BS tried, tried it with a guy on stairs method but failed me multiple times
And there is the reks 88 97 90 heal to auto save that works as well but you have to count 4 times of the guy walking up the stairs instead of the kid for that one. Both work , I did both methods and got 2 from each just look for which set of numbers you get first 97, 94 , 95 kid 88 , 97 , 90 guy on stairs

It’s freaking crazy how this really worked I was paying attention to the kid to the point I almost forgot about the chest lol but I got it, but since it’s so strong I won’t use it the whole game since I don’t wanna blow my experience

How do you get it on the switch version
I know this is old and everything but as of August 9 2019 it still works. All you need is for the chest to spawn and then watch the kid. Got mine on my very first chest spawn.

Getting the chest to spawn is the hardest part. Tried the 32 steps and timed method and nothing so far. Wondering if there's any way to use the reks cure method to get the spawn tbh

Just got the bow used lemons up and down the stairs 10 times method , got it in about 15 mins of trying..Been trying to get another but no joy.
Man this shit took me like 5 different chests, but I finally got 1! After he paces 4 times and when he stops id give it like half a second then open the chest I feel like that was the best timing.
The chest never spawns when i do it
Got 3, great video. I had 5 chests spawn over about an hour and half. The way I got my timing was as soon as vaan is completely visable start the stop watch then at just before 20 seconds, has to be on 19 enter the airship. The first two chests I got were 10gil and a knot of rust. Then I realized I didn't have the diamond armlet equipped. After that got 3 more spawns not long after. Don't know why I got them because I won't use them just wanted to see if I could. Doing fine without them...........IT WILL RUIN YOUR GAMING EXPERIENCE..
I been trying all day and night to get this, I got it after watching this video Thank you. Yes the bow will ruin the game but for those who have beaten the game countless times on ps2, just wanting to have fun slaughtering everything it is great.

Huh. So it doesn't require the Archer job. Since the stats does not state what licence plate you need in order to use it.
FINALLY got the chest to spawn! But guess my timing was off cause I got a knot of rust....now it won't respawn lol
I've been able to get the chest to spawn 100% using the reks cure method with the 3 cure sequence of 88, 97, 90 then loading the auto save with vaan only on the top deck
When the man on the stairs who climbs up and down reaches the top of the stairs for the 4th time (including when he is at the top from the start; being #1) open the chest

Took me about 30 mins to get my first one. I was either severely lucky or it is all about the timing.

I got 2 of them in about an hour and a half.
I tried to do this last night I always get the 10 gil I got the Diamond armlet did the 20 second at the door and watch the kid walking back and forth to his father 4 times and still not get it

For those having trouble getting the chest to spawn, waiting 30 seconds instead of 20 yields far more consistent results

30 seconds has worked better for me to get it to spawn but timing the opening I keep failing. I've been able to get it to spawn about 10 times now.. but so far many knots of rust

Chest wont spawn for me. I waited 19 seconds no spawn 20 seconds no spawn then 21 seconds and no spawn...am i doing something wrong?

So this only took ten minutes for me to get using each step shown. I timed till 19 seconds and the chest spawned.
I used the guy who goes up and down the stairs. When he reached the top foe the 5th time, that's when I popped the chest for the bow.
Does it have to be the Diamond Armlet from Trial Mode or does it work with the Diamond Armlet you can obtain at the Westersands?
It can be any. The one from Trial is just very easy to get. Good luck!

Does this trick works on Nintendo Switch Lite, is the Seitengrat available in Switch?
I cannot say that the chest spawning method is 100%. I only got it tow work once, but other people have got it to work fairly consistently. I hope you have luck. If not try looking at the forum links on Gamefaqs and Reddit. The method to loot the bow however I would say is 100% as long as you get your timing SPOT ON! Post any tips or advice you have here for other players!
I did the chest spawn with a PS4 Pro with a digital version of the game at 20.4 seconds.

It definitely is NOT 100%. I wasted almost a day trying to spawn the chest using the method to no avail. Until now I still haven't spawned the chest. haha.
Yeah I myself cannot replicate the spawning method 100% BUT the looting method seems pretty damn accurate.

Just get the bow 2 times in 3 hour. Damn the rng but it works.
Oh shit I got it launch ps4 and disc version if you care. I re entered the air ship at 18 seconds just to off set the animation and waited for the boy. The second he stops hit X and I got it.

Not true. You can get the Bow as soon as you are able to board an airship. Like in the story when heading to bhujerba. All you need is a save file from playing as reks. Get the cure spell to heal for exactly in this order 88, 97, 90. Then reload autosave. Watch the guy going up and down the stairs. Wait for him to go up a 4th time and open the chest. I got 3 back to back in less then 10 minutes.

The earliest time you can get it is after you escape the Barhiem passage and everyone leaves the party at Rabanastre. Just go to the air station there and you are good to go. Just make you take the flight to Nalbina.
Shoot back then I pass this game the hard way with no OP weapons ;-;
This was pretty much a myth to most players back in the day unless you were able to listen to some clicks on your playstation or you got your timing spot on.

Tried this for about 2 hours. Only got the chest to spawn twice and got 10 gil each time, with diamond armlet equipped.
Vincent Costa The biggest hurdle for me was getting the chest to spawn. if you can do that more consistently it will only take practise to get the bow. best of luck.
your timing is wrong. you need to press X as soon as he is to tip toe. at least it works for me.
