Stage 1: Diamond Armlet (chest)

Stage 10: Sword of Kings (20% steal from Belias) and Goddess' Magicite (3% steal from Belias)
Multiple stages also have Dark Matters that can be obtained with the Canopic Jar unlocked.
Even though this is an old comment but the Sword of Kings has a 55% to get stolen and not just 20%

You can steal a Mithril Sword from the Flowering Cactoid in stage 3. It's unlicensed and gives a big Atk boost if you get it early.

Just watched the full set of vids up to stage 100 but jumped back to this vid to add a recommendation. All info is excellent and simply set out. I like the "this is useless so we will just skip" kind of attitude. I have picked up a ribbon, wyrmhero blade, sagittarius bow, excalibur & a masamune (could only get up to stage 80 with my current level). Loot is good! Thanks.

Got the Karkata on my very first steal attempt immediately after getting my first set of thief cuffs!
I got it asy first steal after I the shoots monogram (idk if that's the right one)
I've been going at it myself for nearly 2 hrs now.. it's all muscle memory now hahaha

@@lisasemarron5413 The monographs only effect drops, not steals. The thief's cuffs are what increases steal chance.

Nice I was wondering how to get that Ripe Rampager to spawn all these times doing that level never knew. Been farming Cactoid for the Karkata.
the goddess magicite is the DUSK shard, which you find out later in the game.
The main reason this is important is because the dawn shard is its own item with a slightly different effect
They both provide magic defense (13 or 17 for goddess's magicite, 20 for dawn shard), with a negative of permanently being at 0 mp, except the goddess's magicite also gives half damage to I think every element.

I've got 50 hours gameplay and my characters are level 46-51 I didnt even know what trial mode was until I found it elsewhere about esper locations.

you can only do it on the remaster and yes you just need to quiet trial mode and load your auto save
Found it! Wonder why i didn't see this in the playlist. And i already got GREAT info on stage 1 And stage 3. I've always entered With the Diamond Armlet on. Now i know better. BTW. Could you do an explanation on the weapons. I belive i heard in one of your videos you said the Gun does the same damage no mater the stats on the character using it. Does every weapon have a pro and a con? If i remember correctly, the swords do pretty much the same damage every time, but the axes are unpredictable. :-)

this is NOT a remaster of FF12 thats why its a Remaster of FF12 Internation Zodiac Job System (It was never released outside of Japan) and theres ALOT thats different.

This might be a dumb question, but how are you getting gil from killing monsters. Also what's the jar thing you mentioned? Where can i get that?
The canopic Jar is something you make in the bazaar it needs 3 items each of which you get from quests. I would suggest a quick google for the quests and how to trigger them as for the gil its because i have some cat ear hoods equiped.

Oh I meant something like timestamps. Your guides are great, and the visuals definitely help out with summoning special mobs or finding chests. I just am talking from experience because I could not remember which trial black robe came from so I ended up watching a few more videos than intended. I have seen all the ff12 vids you have uploaded but as I keep coming back to them for reference I just wish there was a bit more organization. Chances are I will be revisiting videos even with timestamps in description.

I just wish there was a reference for what items are where. I mean what is the difference between using the arrow keys to go through his vid 5 seconds at a time and clicking a time stamp?

My problem was I play Zodiac Job System which is on PS2 version not zodiac Age was a Remake somehow,so my Question is,is this apply for the FF XII zodiac Job System on ps2 as well? And a,how do I saved the data since it has no Auto Savings system on ps2,actually I play on Emulator ps2:)

You can get ot normal but it will take spme time

yes but its the rare steal (Meaning 1-5% steal chance) so the only thing i can suggest is to keep trying you'll get it sooner or later.

Don't you have to power up dark matters with knot of rusts first if I remember that properly it's just easiest to keep a fully powered up dark matter for stage 86 those pirates will screw you up if you don't take em ulout fast
knots of rust power up exoduses attack, i also actually mentioned it wrong in this video i got dark matter mixed up with Dark Energy which cant be gotten in trial mode.
I have a question. how early is it feasible to get the really good stuff from trial mode? excalibur, zodiac spear, black mask, brave suit, ribbon, etc. I tried as soon as i beat raithwall and to be honest, other than Karkata, all the other items all the way up to like 40+ are shit compared to what you can get in barheim passage at that point, and in Necrol of Nabudis just an hour or so after that point. and at least in my experience, those two places are far easier than the lvl 30+ stages of trial mode. how far into the game would i need to go before getting "the good stuff" in trial mode is truly easier and earlier than getting them in the normal game?
well Barheim and Nabudis would require you to be way overleveled to get the "good stuff" compared to trial mode straight after raithwalls tomb. But you can get most of the best gear before trial 80, most of which you wouldnt be able to get untill pharos or the great crystal.
I must be doing something wrong then. cuz right after raithwall I tried trial mode and got absolutely destroyed, usually somewhere in the late 20s early 30s. and none of the items i could steal up to that point helped. but ive had only minor troubles surviving in nabudis and managed to get 2 maximilians, the white mask, hypnocrown, kaiser shield, etc. with those should i be able to get to floors 50+ in trial mode?
Maximillions are the 2nd best heavy armor and hypnocrown is good, you can get Goldskull caps from the skeletons in the deadlands aswell, however what you need is weapons/levels and alot of your license board filled out. aswell as properly set up gambits.
I'm lvl 43, running with Karkata and kaiser/aegis shield on my knight/bushi, Penetrator crossbow and long bolts on my white mage/time mage, and Gokuu Pole on my monk/black mage. best black magic i have at this point is only fira/thundara. I have quite a few, but not quite all the HP+ and Battle/magick lores on each character's LBs. I'm currently giving Trial mode another go. so far i'm at stage 28 and the enemies are doing 0 to me with their regular attacks lol. hope I can make it at least to stage 49 where i can steal ribbons.

On the PC, do you have to be able to beat Belias in order to keep your stuff, or is there a way to get things like the Diamond Armlet from stage 1 without doing that? I'd really rather not have to grind that one zombie mob in the Estersand to not get ganked by the fucking mandragora enemies guarding the chest for it in the normal game, particularly because I hear that enemies scale with your level in this version. I haven't confirmed it yet, but I'd rather not screw myself that way if it's true.
No monsters do NOT scale with you (Where did you hear this?) and to take items from trial mode back into the story you only need to clear the floor you get the item on. For example you want the diamond armlet from stage 1. So all you need to do is get the armlet, clear stage 1, die on stage 2 and load your auto save normally. Its the same process for every stage you want an item on. Just get to the next stage to trigger an auto save.

earliest? from the very first save crystal once you can control vaan (Steal from stage 30 in trial mode) easiest? chest in moshiphron highway
It's impossible to get to trial 30 though unless you do a tooon of grinding.

ps2 doesnt have Zodiac Age, it has international zodiac job system. which has ALOT of differences one of them being you cant port items over.

Yep, beat the stage to get the stage to autosave itself, then load the autosave in the main game to transfer it over. However, you will lose the trial mode progress.
any chance you've farmed helvinek for grand armour using zoning glitch?? tried going to the hidden merchant before farming but he's not there.

That's because the hidden merchant has changed its location in the international zodiac job system, now is at the northern part of the area where you originally found the zodiac spear
yep i farmed it today got 2 in 18 chains but then i messed up so i gave up at 2 (will get my 3rd from trial mode) the merchent is there but you cant buy telekinesis yet.
I have gone into the chest ,ultiple times on stage one and keep getting nothing but potions... what is the percentage for the armlet?

Yeah if you'll go to the other side of the aqueducts that is where you get the armlet
it is a 100% chance but as long as you do NOT have a diamond armlet equipped at the time! Maybe you're going to the wrong side?

No, once you take your gear back to story mode. If you want to go back into trial mode later on you have to start at stage 1 again.

@@Dionesus clear whatever stage you get an item you want to keep. when the game autosaves between levels, press options and quit out. Then load your autosave into the main game.

how can we farm the dark matters??
alot of mobs in trial mode have them as rare steals (typicaly the specialy spawned mobs) however i actually got them mixed up with Dark Energy (Energy is the one that will carry you through trial mode) and the "easiest" place to farm them is mt bur omisace but good luck getting them

I always thought that trial mode kinda broke the base game, like, you shouldn't be able to bring items FROM the trial mode to the main game, or the absurd amount of LP you can get, it takes away from some of the challenges, like getting the Zodiac Spear, the Grand Armor and some other otherwise rare items...

just complete the stage and then you can exit out/die and load up your auto save normally as if you wanted to continue with the story.

I got lucky and stole one within about 4 attempts, but then i wanted a second one... tried for about 2.5 hours overall and no luck so i moved on lol

Just some constructive criticism, I only made it about half way through this series. The burping in every video just got to me, it's too much. Liked the content except for that 1 thing and it is a deal breaker.
