    🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on RUclips yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

What also thrills me is that my yarn art ends up looking like YOURS when I finish, which means I followed your directions, watched how you did it, and ta-da...I did it! You also explain why you're doing what you illustrate, and give choices on how to finish. A true teacher allows the student to succeed in their own way. Brava!🎉

Robin, your work is always gorgeous & every stitch is meticulously done. I know I've told you this before, but I believe in telling people when they are doing a great job or making a difference. I appreciate your tutorials so much, since having a brain injury I can get easily confused. Never am I lost or confused with your tutorials. You are clear visually & in explaining the process. I don't know if you realize what that has meant to me. At a time when I felt useless, trying to relearn things & find my new normal after my TBI & body injuries, you helped me get some joy & confidence back. Crochet & even your tutorials are part of my ongoing brain therapy that helps me with processing. It also helps me daily to manage the sometimes debilitating anxiety & PTSD brought on from my accident. Now that I can make some of these beautiful creations with your help & actually gift them to people, my confidence continues to grow. So know that for many people your efforts are greatly appreciated & your videos are so much more than what you realize. With all of my heart, I thank you! 🩷😊

I love this for a blanket. I was given about 1kg of sock yarn which I will never get thru for knitting socks. Lots of beige tones and navy. Decided I needed a lightweight wool blanket for my bedroom. It'll take some time as I'm only using 1 strand at a time. I didn't like the double stranded look. Now i have to figure out when and where colour changes will occur!
    Many thanks from Canada 🇨🇦

I have always enjoyed the look of the linen/moss stitch. It was your videos that finally got me to understand how to do this stitch. And now it is in C2C.... even better. So, if I want to keep it a square I keep increasing on both sides or is this better as a rectangle? Either way, I think I will be giving this a go quite soon. Thank you for making the stitch so easy to understand.

I wonder how many rows did you crochet for the size 90 x 106 cm?
I'm looking forward to crochet a temperature planket - but can't figure out how big it's going to be with 365 rows 🤣

Moss stitch is my favorite! I love the weight and feel of it. Ive made many "scrapghans" over the years. I have tried this C2C many times but im thrown off by the count. Does the pattern increase by one or two stitches every row? My OCD wont let me do it without counting. Lol.

Question. If I have 2 cakes of Mandela yarn. Can I continue until I finish the first cake. Then if the width is ok. Start on the 2nd cake. Will it finish the throw? What I’m asking is are you half way finished when you start on the decline? I want to know if I should get more yarn. Thank you so much for the pattern.

Robin, would it be simple to not use a variegated yarn for this and instead change the colours manually, while maintaining an even pattern? I’m thinking of using 5 colours to make a rainbow. Thank you

    • @HookedbyRobin
      @HookedbyRobin  Месяц назад +1

Yes absolutely! You would have a fair few ends to weave in however 🌈
