  • Looking for a fun variation on the standard C2C (Corner to Corner) Block Stitch? Then this video is for you! Learn how to crochet the Corner to Corner Open Block Stitch, creating the most beautiful open, lightweight and airy blankets or projects! In this tutorial I will show you step by step how to crochet the C2C Open Block Stitch, how to create a rectangle shape for rectangular blankets, how to create a square version AND how to add a foundation border around your project to add any border you so wish! If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
    🧶 Yarn & Hook information:
Suitable for any yarn - use the recommended hook size for your chosen yarn
For my blanket I used 3.5 balls of James Brett Aurora Double Knitting yarn in the shade "AU11" for the blanket and 1 ball of Hayfield Bonus DK in Cream for the border with a 4mm Hook
This gave me a blanket approximately 36 inches x 41.5 inches in size (92cm x160cm) including the border

    🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on RUclips yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

I began working this with a pretty Lion brand Mandala of pink/baby blue & lavender for a great niece. I've already had to frog twice. Gonna write the instructions down, and attempt it again when I'm not sleepy/groggy. This is my first corner to corner... and I liked the look of the checkerboard-ish pattern. But I goofed somehow 😮. Twice as I mentioned 🤷. Update=I started the video completely over, and I got it now 😊. It just didn't look right before I began again. It turns out that it was right the second time. It's all clear though now 🤓. I'll watch the prep for a border after a nap 🥱 and after my blanket is as big as it needs to be before decreasing. Thanks Robin 🤗
