- Join us today as we begin to push the limits of the new LT suspension! We broke an axle on this trip which may have just been user error. It broke while I was reversing to reposition myself. What do you think happened? Honestly this break was a little baffling to me!

Awesome video. Definitely an underrated trail. I sheared off the alignment tabs coming down the backside of the loop past the lookout. Had to get the cams welded to the frame the next morning, but it was absolutely worth it. Those optional lines can make for an interesting day though lol
EDIT: looks like your front locker was on when the CV popped. When you move forward or backward with the wheels turned hard, all four tires want to move at different speeds. With the lockers on and the insane grip out there, I think it was just enough difference in ground vs. wheel speed to trash it. If there was a little less traction (or the front locker was off) I doubt it would have busted at all. Could've been weakened already and that was just the nail in the coffin
There definitely was some bind happening somewhere. I actually had to give gas in reverse which was weird. The car didn’t seem to want to move. One of the front tires was in the air but ya, you might be right. Maybe the back tires on the ground with that front tire on the ground being turned caused it to pop. I had literally just turned the front locker on when that happened too. Lesson learned!
Waiting for an update of the budget quad led retro, ETA?
Not sure of an ETA yet. I’m waiting on SRQ fabrications to finish building the first set with the kit I sent them so they can get a full price breakdown to me. A few weeks ago they had only shown that they opened all of the parts but not quite sure on the current status
Do you guys or snowbound custom still carry the quad headlight kit? I’ve went on the site and didn’t see it anymore. Do they still have some in stock? Can they assemble it completely without the customers putting it together?
We removed DIY kits, instead we will have prebuilt quad headlights likely at the end of January available

Thanks! 5.29 gears and I’m on my second diff so I do plan on replacing the rear with a Ford 9” axle housing
Do you have front and rear lockers? Or using stock center lock. I’m also thinking of building my 2001 4Runner.
What axels are you using and is it extended axels or stander?

How much was the spare axle. Are those tundra axles?
These axles are $550 each but they can’t be rebuilt. Directly from BTF, not the tundra ones
