    I saw Freddie years ago in NJ way out in the pine Barrens. He was fantastic. To this day my favorite is I'd Rather BE Blind written by Leon Russell & recorded with Leon, Freddie & Jim Gordon. They are all passed on. But ...today I am working on that very song to record for a u-tube download with The Clovis Creek Band. Thank you & God Bless you Freddie. He was truly "The Texas Cannonball".🌹🌠🎼

      Hi, (i don't know your name),
      I'm curious about Argentina. Do you get to see many blues bands in Buenos Aires? International bands or local? Do you play any instrument?
      I play guitar myself (not as good as Freddie:-)). I even played in a small blues band in Toulouse France, in 1993, just for the fun. At the time i had a weekly Blues radio show in a community radio, i loved it. If you want to see pictures i've made of blues and jazz musicians and other pictures you can go to my website:

    My favorite King of the 3 Kings: Freddie King. Second is Albert King, good vocals and good lefty Flying V technique. Never liked the other guy. Freddie had a unique voice and style. True grit you might say, honest soulful playing from the heart. I miss him to this day. He left us way too young. I'm sure because of his complete depth of feeling and honesty he went straight to heaven.

      Agree with you, but it is hard pick one for being my favorite between Freddie and Albert. I like a lot of both. But I like BB as well, however is my third favorite King.

    • @bpastorb
      @bpastorb 3 года назад +3

      I agree with your order but do not agree with the 'other guy' comment. The order in terms of playing and outward talent may be true, but in terms of what they brought to the genre they are all equals. They all had major influence on other artists that may have sounded differently if not for them, lots of guitarist have taken from B.B king. If not his playing style (J.J Cale is my favorite example of that), then his actual songs in general, lot's have been covered and made popular by other blues men. He also had an interest in bringing all the blues men together for some incredible performances (not to say Albert and Freddie wouldn't do that, we have no idea since they are no longer with us). Albert and Freddie both did performances with other guitarists, like SRV and Clapton respectively, but never brought as many people together as B.B King has over the years. B.B King also has some incredible songs, they are just hidden and not that well known. I personally love his cover of the song 'Summer in the City' off of the 'Guess who' album (also love the album cover). I also generally like his songs/albums featuring another artists rather than his solo ones
