    • @infonut
      @infonut 3 года назад +2

      The reason the Chinese had so many laundries was due to the fact silk was invented and first produced in the far east so they became the best at cleaning and maintaining it which evolved into other fabrics that couldn't be soaked in water.

    Agnes Moorehead was a great actress, remembrad as Endora in Bewitched, very talented.
    She died a year before I was born, but a few months ago I dreamed of her showing up at my house with the same outfit and style as her famous sitcom character, she mentioned my name and was about to tell me something when I woke up
    Whatever she meant, I don't know, I haven't dreamed of her again.

    Watching game shows like Password it occurs to me how touchy-feely (and more relaxed with kisses) the celebrities and contestants are with each other, when they guess a correct word. They seem much freer with each other back then. But perhaps I’ve become sensitised to overt displays of human contact as a result of the restrictions due to the pandemic.

      People did touch and hug each other more often fifty years ago and in general, people did not think it construed anything unseemly. Even handshaking was more common. But I think all the sex and child abuse cases have made people afraid to ever show innocent displays of friendliness. Now days you can't even put a hand on someone's shoulder. It really is very sad. But people used to be happier too. It wasn't uncommon to hear someone whistling or humming or even outwardly singing. That just doesn't happen anymore.
