I could only wish to be this beautiful at 72yrs old. That's one classy lady💋🍒💕
Very Beautiful woman and very talented actress ! ❤️
Loved her in the tv show Bewitched!
Anges Moorehead was born on December 6, 1900. She would be 72 during this episode as she died at 73 years old.
Yes! Before she died, she sometimes said her date of birth was December 6, 1906, shaving six years off. Coincidentally, her bewitched co-star Elizabeth Montgomery did the same thing and claimed to be born April 15, 1938. When Elizabeth passed in 1995, the press though she was 57. Her family admitted that she was actually born in 1933 and died at 62.
I love Anges Moorehead. She could play anypart. Her dad was a Pastor. At 10, she sang What a Friend We Have In Jesus. At her dad's church. I thought she passed in 1974. At 74. Guess I am wrong. She had her Bible with her on the set of Bewitched. A very class act. Miss you Angie.
@@williamflack5767 she would’ve been 74 her birthday. She was born December 6, 1900 and died on April 30, 1974. Her 90-year-old mom took care of her until she passed. Her mother Mary would live another 16 years after Agnes’ death until her own at 106.
She looked stunning at any age
Hard to believe she sadly left this world half a century ago
Coincidentally, when Ms. Moorehead became too ill to continue in the role in "Gigi" that she talks about here, it was Arlene Francis who replaced her.
she had terminal cancer and died 5 month later aged 73. A great and lovley actress and woman
Aawww...so sad. Loved her on Bewitched as Endora.
Sadly, 5 months after this aired.... she was gone.
💔 😭💜
I would have known from the first word she said! 😅💗
In this appearance, her mannerisms and her overall demeanor, are so much like an older Lucille Ball.
They were certainly friends. They loved to play Scrabble together. In fact, sometimes Lucy would affectionately call Agnes "Scrabblehead." 💜
😭😭😭❤my endora I miss u
Agnes was a magnificent actress! Although not a leading lady, she often helped carry a film through her supporting roles that, without her, the film would lack such color, luster and depth. She was definitely one of my all-time favorite actresses. She was a fine lady, too!
I love the voice Moorehead affects here, but the panel was WAY too quick to figure it out this time around. 😂
Her voice is a dead give away
Endora trying to sound like Samantha is funny! And she shares her experiences at the "Muny" in St. Louis...
She was obviously failing by this appearance. But very game at doing her best, regardless.
She died 4 months after this show from cancer.
Sad
💔😭💜
She definitely wasn’t walking too well.
She looks like she’s in pain and very tired.
What was her one women play?
The Fabulous Redhead.
She had several 1 woman shows. I have one on cd.. 💜'ed it.
She had bad arthritis, too..
Poor old, but young Agnes. Such a talent and decent person.
Love how she was too old to put up with the silly questions she was honest and blunt. 😂
😍👍👏💐
When I was a kid I always imagined Agnes smelled like either popcorn or moth balls, now that I'm old...er... it must have been a very expensive stinky perfume.
Most people always said she really smelled great! She used to have all these fancy soaps she loved. 💜
Solo de escuchar su voz, sabes quien es..
What a cheat, Arlene Francis was in a current musical with her during this episode.
Actually Arlene replaced Agnes Moorehead in Gigi when she had to leave the show to receive cancer treatment. They didn't appear in Gigi together, though may have worked Orson Welles on radio together.
@@jaykaplan2862 She was her understudy
@@jdollinter No that was Louise Kirtland as Agnes Moorehead's understudy. Arlene replaced Agnes when she left the show to get treatment for her cancer, shortly before she passed away.
She was born in Ohio, raised in Ohio and Missouri..how was she ever able to pick-up that aristocratic, almost British accent??
Actually, it's not true that she was born and raised in Ohio. She was born in the Boston area, grew up in Missouri as well, and to University in Ohio, and later lived in and taught school in Wisconsin. While there, she also earned a Master's degree at UW-Madison in English and Public Speaking.
Back to the accent, it is a Mid Atlantic accent, something in between an American and British accent and was something that was consciously acquired by Americans, especially actors and the well to do from the late 19th to mid 20th centuries. Current (or more recent) Actors known to use the accent include Edward Hermann, Kelsey Grammer, and David Hyde Pierce.
She was born and raised in Clinton, MA
