  • Flew on American Airlines 777-200 in their B/E SuperDiamond configuration Flagship Business/First Class. This was a 10.5 hour flight on one of the longest domestic routes in the world.
I had the chance to fly in the concept D forward/backward seats in July, but got lucky enough to try this product. I was also excited to see that full meal service returned with courses, amenity kits, and the all important sundae. I saw a lot of other you tubers who did not have these services even two months ago so it looks like airlines are bringing back full meal service, especially to Hawaii flights. I am glad they also provided lounge access on such a long flight! The bad news is AA is getting rid of this route and it seems like they won't bring it back sadly. Glad to get to try this route multiple times and will be onboard the last HNL-CLT return on Jan 3.
Overall it was a smooth flight and glad to have gotten this great experience! Thank you American Airlines!

Thanks for posting. If this was Christmastime and a year ago, it must have been December 2021. Same time, We flew BC JFK to CDG and returned BC LHR to DFW. My first time in BC and I was impressed. We got one of those once in a lifetime deals, 115k points each round trip. OKC is home and we started and ended here. The trip was two years delayed and it was a treat. The service was great and the Flagship lounge in JFK was wonderful. We are headed to FRA in 30 days through CLT and DFW. BC over and PE back. 3k for one ticket and the other on points. We will have 6 hours to enjoy those CLT lounges. I do love traveling.

You clearly made the mistake of recording so many things vertically, not HORIZONTALLY

I hope they offer the sundaes and amenity kits on our flights to and from Dallas to Honolulu in September.

Thanks for making this video. What did you mean when you said the flight attendants were "very experienced"? (Old?) Whatever it means, I laughed when I read it.

I've noticed that there were more 'experienced' (yes... older) FAs on American last time I flew on one of the 777-200s (a flight from CLT to Munich in 2019 or so). Perhaps a bit younger on the CLT to Cancun flight I was on about 6 months ago. I think that the older FAs were friendlier overall and had a bit more personality. Perhaps it's route choice.
Also... thanks for the video. I'll be back on a 777-200 later this year and wanted to see if the experience had returned to pre-COVID levels.

The last time I flew out of Charlotte was before US Air, and American Airlines merged. They were very stingy on the Alcoholic drinks. You were limited to just two per person. Are they still so stingy?
