About 2 years total, partially because I had to do it in 2 parts because I had nowhere to go with the stuff in there. Thanks so much for the kind comments!

Loving the garage so far man. One question though. Can you give me details about the heater/ac? Like model, brand , price, etc.?

Amazing garage. How did you hide the water heater? Is it a tankless heater?

My hot water heater is in the basement. I tapped into the water lines that are behind the air compressor in the garage. Thanks!

Did you start all of this with a master well thought out plan or did you figure things out as you went?

I started with a plan for the major components of the garage in a floor plan layout. Knowns: I wanted the build-in for the fridge and freezer, workbench tool cabinet, storage shelving, New Age cabinets, sink, tv, bike rack area, and center mobile work area . I also knew I wanted LED lighting all the way around. From there it was a matter of laying it out in a floor plan drawing complete with cutouts to move around to try to configure the space (I went old-school, no CAD here) :). I even used cardboard cutouts in the garage to get a feel. It isn't a huge garage so I wanted to maximize the space. Also, all of the planning was important for strategically placing the electrical outlets, water lines, and air hoses. My fridge also has the working water and ice, so location to access the basement water line was important. The attic above plays into to the space as well, and I just finished putting in a lift that goes into the attic (spoiler...Garage Attic Lift episode coming soon!). Thanks for watching!

Nice garage! Where can I find those totes?

I wish I could tell you that they were still made, but shortly after I purchased mine they discontinued them at Lowes Hardware Store. They were made by a company called Blue Hawk. I ran short of them and had to drive 50 miles to pick up the last few. Here is a link I found www.lowes.com/pd/Blue-Hawk-10-Gallon-40-Quart-Gray-Tote-with-Latching-Lid/1000237409 Good luck! I love the shape and design of these rather than the normal rounded look (and the color was spot on to my garage). Thanks for viewing!
