    Hi, my name is Nick and I currently own the Samsung gear fit like you did. I am paralyzed (car accident... Long time ago and looooonnnngggg story) but I do exercise. I use " other workout" a lot as I hit a speed bag and heavy duty big. The pushing of my wheelchair doubles for steps. But, I was looking for something that could double as a nice watch and be waterproof. The gear will be great for me as I swim during the summer. A 50yr quadriplegic swimming (dragging my lower body behind me and doing a modified butterfly..😁😁😁)
    I was going to buy the new Samsung Galaxy watch active which might be geared towards women. I'm 6'4 and it looks a little small on my wrist.. Lol
    I just ordered it on Amazon for $212 and got an additional $50 off for getting an Amazon visa card. Basically, $177 for the blue gear sport!! That's not bad at all so I'm looking forward to getting it next week.
    Thanks for the great video. I'm glad you liked yours...
    Nick

    It's this late and I just found out about your review of Sports. I previously watched your Ticwatch E video and loved it. Keep it coming.

    thanks for reviewing this very thoroughly - I needed if from a woman's point of view for us women as I wasn't sure if it would be good for me as I had only seen men reviews, and you definitely hit the mark. Thanks again

    Thanks for the awesome review :) From your experience, how long does the watch last using standalone gps before run out of battery? Just want to check that out before buying the watch.

    presentation very complete and all with a voice very pleasant! I hesitated with the vivoactive 3 of garmin but not gear sport

      VELOVAE I'd like to try out the Vivoactive 3 and do a comparison video. I have the original Vivoactive and still use it because of its ability to pair with ANT+ devices. Wish the Gear Sport could pair with at least Bluetooth HRM chest monitors. That would be nice. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for your review. I've had it for a week and am enjoying its features. I noticed that when I lightly tapped the bezel, I hear the noise of the bezel hitting the watch. I want to make sure that this is normal and that the bezel has become loose because I don't remember feeling any play when I first got it.

    • @TheJournier
      @TheJournier  6 лет назад

      Jeff Bermundo I've noticed a little wobble at times too and I think it's normal but of course if it's more than you think it should be you might want to contact Samsung.

      Thanks for checking! I may have to contact Samsung. I don't seem to recall a noticeable noise when i touched the bezel when I first got it but now it's making me worry that it may have gotten loose.

    Is it worth to buy in 2019 ?

    Thanks for the review. I'm looking to purchase a watch that would allow me to follow a predefined hiking trail. Garmin Fenix 5 can do it but costs twice as much. I heard that Gear Sport with Gear Navigator is supposed to be able to do it as well. Just upload a GPX file of your trail and it should allow you to follow it.
    I'd be interested to hear from you about your Gear Navigator experience.

      I'm not sure. I'll have to check into this. I would love to be able to do this too since I enjoy hiking. But I am going to review Gear Navigator soon.

    Does it also show an altitude diagram while hiking? Thanks for your answer :)

      xSECHZIGx I it shows a graph of your altitude over the last 6 hours and while using the hiking workout altitude is displayed continuously. Hope that helps. :)

    Nice review, BUT I found you volume WAY too low. I cranked it to 100, I usually listen at level 20.
    I usually skip videos with low volume because if I forget to turn the volume down the next video will be crazy loud and blow my ears out.

    • @TheJournier
      @TheJournier  6 лет назад +1

      RojasTKD7 Yes I agree about the volume. Wish I had a way to increase it after uploading.

      The Journier I mention it just for future referance. It was well done otherwise.

      Chubzz Tech It works for me though I usually don't use it that way.

    Nice review, although the volume is much too low. How's the screen readability outdoors? Looks good in the parts of the video when you're outside, but is it always like that even when there's more sunlight?

    • @TheJournier
      @TheJournier  6 лет назад

      Yeah the volume is too low, I agree. I'll make sure it's better in future videos. The screen is great outside in bright sunlight.

    What third party app has breadcrumbing? Samsung rep at Best Buy told me that breadcrumbing was suppose to be coming a few months after the S3 was released, but that was a year ago. So, we need to tweet and mention in the Samsung forum that we want this feature added please.

    • @TheJournier
      @TheJournier  6 лет назад

      Run4Gear is one that I've found that has breadcrumbing. It's not a hiking app but it might be of use to you.

      Tanya Bakerwitz Yes that's what it's called on my watch. I downloaded it through the Gear app. I hope it's still there. :)
