I use garmin vivoactive 3 straps, looks more masculine and nice. It fits perfectly.
Also I need a watch that is smart enough to allow me see the time

I just ordered mine and will be getting it Monday. God I’m gonna burn through the battery just learning and customizing this thing lol I hope it operates fine with iOS. As long as it doesn’t randomly disconnect Bluetooth like my misfit vapor did I should be good.

Can you link this with an external Heart Rate Monitor if you're not too keen on the wrist based one?
it should be possible with the watchface "sporty watch". the external Bluetooth HR monitor will overwrite the internal arm one.

Hi there! Does anybody tested gear fit 2 pro or gear sport SPECIALLY in the swimming pools? I mean does this devices really fitted for pool workout like for example Garmin monitors? There is very poor official info about swimming activities.
Does anyone know how to get workouts from your watch to display on your phone? Samsung's website says that there are built in workouts that can be cast to your phone but I can't find them at all...

Yes you can... from the Gear app... or from watchmaker app. I have about 20 watchfaces loaded on my gear sport
I have a question, i want to use this swimming. But I swim like 1 hour for my lapses. Will it stand the duration of time of my swim because I heard it will only last 30 mins. Kindly advise.
Well the watch is 50m water and salt water is I would guess so
It seems under warranty as long as you do not scuba dive below 50m

I use it with bluthoot at the end of the day and when i have classes ( can't use phone) but mostly for fitness... battery lasts 4 days easily when i use it all day bt it lasts 3 days whit always on 2 with all funcions

Connected to moto g4plus. When i get a call gear sport shows only reject option, there is no accept option for call.
I have something very annoying on the Samsung Gear Sport. Imagine you have Timero app on for internval training. The watch is always going back to the clock display while training! It is damn annoying as you do not want to push buttons while training of course. Anyone a solution for this?

I researched both the S3 frontier and sport very thoroughly. I purchased the Sport only because I am in the military and spend most of my days outside and thought it was tougher, more durable and smaller since I'm always in long sleeves.
In my opinion I dont think switching from the S3 to the sport is worth it... unless you can sell your S3 for most of the cost of the sport.

Great tips. I saw this on display at Best Buy today. One thing I noticed is that the Sport model has a click detent while the S3 Classic and Frontier do not (they just spin smoothly and continuously). Is that a difference in design or in Settings?

Yes. I prefer clicking over smooth turning. I like the tactile feedback, and it feels more precise.

There are two S3 models: The S3 Classic which has a lighter silver color. and the S3 Frontier which has a darker gray color. The new Sport model is more similar to the Frontier in color.

Gear S3 or Sport? If you were buying today which would you go with? I personally like the bigger watch size, but the sport having a newer OS and better water seal is a big deal.

InkwellFoto difference is samsung pay bigger battery an face on the s3 . The sport only real advantage is swimming fresh and salt water an much deeper . I forgot the s3 has a speaker so you can make an Receive calls

I did something to my watch and a green bar around the rim of the watch popped up which showed the battery life. It was at 74% so it took 3/4 of the watch's rim. Does anyone know how to get this to pop up? I know you can swipe down to see the battery life, but I"m just curious if anyone else has experienced this

Someone please give us a clear answer on the two seemingly contradictory aspects around swimming with the watch (I use the S3 but that still applies to Gear Sport):
Can we swim with these watches or not?
In the manual, it clearly says we should not swim with the watch and yet, on the exercise features, is a one for swimming.
Also, in one video, the commentator says, we should never swim with the S3 or Gear Sport and on this one the commentator says we can.
Also the manual says, I can submerge the watch in 1.5 meters deep water for 30 minutes.
Someone please advise.
Quick answer:
Because is water resistant, not capable of swimming, and the Sport Gear and Galaxy Watch are Waterproof, meaning they are designed to support the pressure of swimming.
Detailed Answer:
The answer is simple, the S3 in both versions are IP68 (that means is water resistant for 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, however, swimming is an activity that will go deeper in the pressure than 1.5 meters (the real measure is 0,15 atm which indicates the pressure), this level of pressure means it will work good even when raining, but is not capable for submerging into the water because when you are moving into the water, the pressure won't be like 1.5 meters, will be more.
Now, the Sport gear and the Galaxy Watch are capable of going into 40m (3.87 atm), which means u can do water activities, the difference is 1 to 26.6, so the difference is big between them talking about water resistance.

how about the battery life?
I've had mine for three days.
I wear it for 24 hours and charge it every morning while I shave shower and get ready for work.
So far every day my watch is at 60% every day, meaning it burns 40% battery every 24 hours.
It takes about an hour to get it back to 100%
I leave my brightness at level 5 which is great for the day but almost too bright at night.
I've been playing with it a lot and showing it off to a lot if people so I would consider it extremely high use in a 24 hour period.

How are you using this as a speaker phone. I purchased mine from amazon UK. And it doesn't have a speaker
From what I know, this hasn't got a speaker, the LATE versions will out of the Gear watches but the Gear Sport doesn't have a LATE version yet so all you'd be able to do is messages being transferred or you'd be able to pick up or make calls but will have to use phone for the rest.

Do you think its better to purchase the gear sport over the huawei watch 2 ? What do you think. I mean the gear sport has no speaker but has 50m waterproofing but huawei has ip67. Char Debbs is there a workout setting, that you can turn on before those workouts. i do a lot of hiit too

I bought Gear Sport last week, but regrets that such
simple thing as beeping alarm clock which I need
as reminder during travel, as wake up call, is missing.
