You have a wonderful way with furniture! As far as your art, what a cool way to make your ink! And I have been a picture framer who had tried to quit twice but was sought after every time working at a frame shop, a fame shop/art gallery and a high end Photographer for a total of 20 years. (She is still trying to get me back! ) I have seen all kinds of art and actually had artists give me free lessons and I was hired the first time when I took some of my pastels in to get framed. Your vases are lovely and truly would sell! I really love the feel of them but I love living out in the country and decided I needed to get back to doing some of my art as I think it is cathartic! Well done! Love to see what else you do and hope you incorporate it into your reveals! I love pastels but also totally love pen and ink. Keep it up and please do reveal more of your artwork! ❤️💫

I’m 66 years old and these MCM pieces you do are straight out of my childhood. At that time my mom worshipped at the alter of Danish Modern. All of these pieces were parked in their designated places atop gold sculpted carpet in our sunken living room. Spotlights danced on poles that were extended from floor to ceiling, and walls and draperies were in a subtle off white which was necessary so the upholstered pieces (adorned in gold, turquoise, and red) could pop. I’m hearing strains of the Tijuana Brass playing on the long low stereo and seeing my mom get ready to entertain with a trays of canapés and little finger sandwiches. I love that you bring these pieces back to life!

I'm not looking for anything different. I'm here to watch you bring order out of chaos, beauty out of trash, and watching a piece come to life under your hands is so rewarding. I appreciate your art project, both as intrinsic art and as a way to use natural materials vs. the toxic materials commonly out there. The dresser and night stand shown here maintain your usual high standard.
I've been watching restoration and refinishing videos for about 6 months as a way to relax myself from the stress of involvements elsewhere. I enjoyed your video Angie. I don’t think you need to apologize so much. You apologize quite a lot even in the on screen text. For instance I wouldn’t have even noticed that shot was overexposed. Or the camera being out of focus on one out of 100 shots. People are going to criticize you. You are one of the best and most carefully considerate and meticulous furniture refinishers I follow, but you are preemptively apologizing for the mean comments and criticisms. You could be on here skateboarding and someone would tell you you’re doing it wrong. My point is I ♥️ your work and channel and so do 1000s of others. No need to apologize. I enjoyed watching sanding and staining! Lol

Haters and dumb comments really don’t upset me at all on a personal level. What upsets me is that so many people feel the need, the urge, to behave like school children. Actually, I take that back- I was a school child and never bullied anyone. Lol
I just find it sad that society has become so vile and cruel to complete strangers. But their actual words to ME roll off because 99% of the time, they are either entirely incorrect about something, or absolutely ridiculous.

Midcentury is my favorite design style ever and this piece turned out absolutely beautiful.
How did you get started in restoration? Where did you focus all of your learning into? Like identifying woods? Damage? Materials or technique?
I don't want to get into flipping furniture I'm just trying to fill my home with pieces that I invested love into.

HELP! I’m refinishing a MCM side table and after sanding I used a wood conditioner. The next day I decided to stain the frame in black, but after the first coat, I wiped it down and you can see the wood in some areas. I added a second coat and left it to dry over night. My question to the wood 🪵 mixologist is should I apply a third coat to see if it covers the areas the of wood that is still showing. My pal an was to stain the top of the table in walnut and stencil it with a mid century design by redesign by prima. Any suggestions? You’re the only U Tuber that make wood look beautiful again. Thanks
