    It turned out beautiful. Thank you for not painting it. So many people jump to paint furniture, without seeing the beauty of the natural wood.

    Great job man. You don't have to apologize about the P/L (profit/loss) breakdown; call it, "full disclosure" if you wish, but this is a free market society. Be proud of those numbers.
    Your real fans will understand what you're saying. The ones that don't want to work and don't pay taxes may fault you, but that's jealousy.
    You do you! You're great at it!

    That is 100% Rosewood, without a doubt. It offers some of the richest grain you’ll ever see, especially when oiled and waxed. Most of those Danish dining tables were mass produced from Teak, so getting a Rosewood one with continuous veneer right down the line is very rare.

It bleaches out the stains. But you MUST use it on the whole top not one spot. If that helps in the future.

    Hi. I have a dining room table and chairs that I want to paint. It has never been refinished. It looks like it did when it was originally purchased from a furniture store. Minus a bit of wear and tear. It was as given to me about 25 years ago. It’s in good shape. I will have to do some sanding but not a lot. It’s heavily varnished and is the ugly lighter brown colored wood that was popular in the 90’s. It has a lot of life left. The legs are 3” in diameter and the table is pretty heavy. The finish is not peeling . Should I strip it before I paint it? Just looking for advice. Thanks

    • @CedarPineDesigns
      @CedarPineDesigns  19 дней назад +1

      It's probably best to strip it first. You might not be able to get a good finish without stripping it.

    Замечательный простой стол, но меня не удивляет, что дополнительная часть выдвижной столешницы редко использовалась. Эти крылья при выдвижении очень капризны к малейшему перекосу. Плохо держат нагрузку и если при большом застолье поставить тяжёлое блюдо или облокотиться на этот край - можно устроить катастрофу :)

      It’s a random orbital as it rotates and vibrates in small random directions

    Unbelievable deal (steal) for $90.00. Where did you buy it? The table is stunning.

      That’s what I said. I couldn’t believe it was so cheap. I just happen to find a guy selling it on Facebook and needed it gone

    It looked like the veneer was loose in a few places when you were touching up with the marker, but did see that you glued those areas...maybe you did that off camera?

      It wasn’t loose but rather where the sander removed a bit of the veneer

    This was sold by Scan Design. It came with a set of beautiful yet very fragile chairs.

    Can I ask what your best selling techniques are? As in do you sell local, Facebook marketplace, online, word of mouth? Where do you suggest starting if I’m a complete beginner?

      I started out selling on Facebook marketplace and Craigslist, offer up and any other local selling platforms. Instagram is a good one as well cause you can keep a portfolio of stuff you’ve done and get potential clients from there as well

    Beautiful work. But the music on the sound track was not nice to listen to..... maybe it is my computer or my hearing!
