Great job man. You don't have to apologize about the P/L (profit/loss) breakdown; call it, "full disclosure" if you wish, but this is a free market society. Be proud of those numbers. Your real fans will understand what you're saying. The ones that don't want to work and don't pay taxes may fault you, but that's jealousy. You do you! You're great at it!
THANK YOU for putting more restoration videos up on here!! The transformations are lovely but I'm a sucker for making them shine as they were supposed to back in the day.
The way the wood grain matches shows how high quality this piece is. It would have been expensive in its day. Beautiful restoration job. Thank you for sharing. 😘🇦🇺

With my two oldest in college we have a lot of young adults in our house at times whether to study, play games, or just to eat. This table size would be ideal! Plus it's really beautiful. Great job, Samuel.
I just inherited my fathers mid century teak dining table and matching chairs. It’s exactly the same as yours except, obviously. it is teak. It needs redoing but it is nowhere as bad as yours is. You did a great job with this table.
I have this table in teak. It’s an Ansager Mobler and go anywhere from $1500 to $3000. I’m so relieved you refinished it instead of ruining it. Great pieces like this deserve respect. You did a nice job.
Honestly, my initial thought was “this is just a plank of wood with 4 legs screwed to the bottom” then you took the top off and extended the leaves and that got me thinking that this could be interesting. The final result is amazing. Great find and great job on the restoration!
I was drawn to painted icees initially but once I really looked at MCM furniture, the natural beauty grabbed me. I have never worked on rosewood. You did a beautiful job!
BEAUTY!!! Absolutely gorgoeus...so jealous you found it for such a price...but I would of kept it...absolutely beautiful...you made a fine job...I'm all in for the natural look...and you are right...the craftmanship is perfection...the grain matches once the whole table is extended...a true rarity...and YES those magic markers are truly magical!!! Thank you very much for sharing this upload.

I have almost this exact table! I was so excited to see this! My mother told me my father purchased this in Norway in the 1960's. It's a bit different in that my table is teak and the top is completely smooth when the leaves are extended. I have always dreamed of refinishing it. I LOVED watching this video! Thank you!
Absolutely gorgeous Samuel....And The top where both sides mirror each other in the wood grain is called (match booking) ....very high end quality table you got there my friend...You did amazing work🥰👍

Oh it's gorgeous Samuel. I'm looking at the grain and thinking - Donnie Darko twice!! It matches up so fabulously. Beautiful table and absolute bargain. I got an oak dining table for free on fb marketplace. Finish is shot on it. I'm keeping it myself (although I'll never use it extended, it's probably as big as yours - HUGE!) but I've never had a quality dining table and I'm in love. Now just gotta make time to refinish it. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you RUclips for recommending your channel. I like that you share the numbers ($) and the time spent on the projects. Next time you sand off a trim please describe how you ensured it was flat and square to the rest of the surface...I did it once and it was a bit crooked.
Really beautiful! I'm a mcm fan and have collected a good cache of tables that will be sprucing up by using your videos for inspiration. Not selling...just for my redecorating! Thanks.
That is 100% Rosewood, without a doubt. It offers some of the richest grain you’ll ever see, especially when oiled and waxed. Most of those Danish dining tables were mass produced from Teak, so getting a Rosewood one with continuous veneer right down the line is very rare.
Beautiful table, nice work! Trivia: the song at about 13:10 minutes in...he is singing in swedish "I'm a lone sailor, far from swedish straits, I'm gonna celebrate x-mas here on Hawaii" (old Swedish sailors song "Sjömansjul på Hawaii"). I got a bit of a shock when I saw this, because I've got one of these tables! Had it since new. But its currently disassembled in pieces, because the top needs some tlc, like yours but not as bad! FYI, I don't think the leaves on yours were in original condition, as the leaves on mine are in v.g.c. and have a shine/sheen to them. I was going to have a go at the 'renno' myself, but after watching this, I'm scared to now! 🙄 Perhaps I should get someone who knows what they are doing?🤑Any thoughts gratefully received👍
Thank you so much for the compliment. It’s really jut that hard but if you want it to look better just try using some restorafinish and 0000 steel wool

If you come into stains of any kind, you also can use sillic acid, I think that what ya call it, lol Asillic? Anyways you leave it on according to directions. Must wash off with lots of water. It bleaches out the stains. But you MUST use it on the whole top not one spot. If that helps in the future.

I started out selling on Facebook marketplace and Craigslist, offer up and any other local selling platforms. Instagram is a good one as well cause you can keep a portfolio of stuff you’ve done and get potential clients from there as well
It turned out beautiful. Thank you for not painting it. So many people jump to paint furniture, without seeing the beauty of the natural wood.
Thank you. If I can restore and save the wood, I prefer that.
@@CedarPineDesigns You're welcome.

Hi. I have a dining room table and chairs that I want to paint. It has never been refinished. It looks like it did when it was originally purchased from a furniture store. Minus a bit of wear and tear. It was as given to me about 25 years ago. It’s in good shape. I will have to do some sanding but not a lot. It's probably best to strip it first. You might not be able to get a good finish without stripping it.
@@CedarPineDesigns thanks
On second thought, you don’t have to strip down if you’re just going to paint. A light sanding and filling of any scratches or gouges and it should be fine.

Is that an orbital or random orbital sander? :)
It’s a random orbital as it rotates and vibrates in small random directions

That’s what I said. I couldn’t believe it was so cheap. I just happen to find a guy selling it on Facebook and needed it gone
