I'm an armchair viewer who, except for cleaning a thrifted piece, does no furniture flipping sanding, staining and paint work, and have huge admiration for your work. You deserve even greater admiration for this piece. She looks fabulous!
My first thought was that this desk was suitable for kindling, but once again, you've done your magic and transformed it into a beauty! Also, the little bunnies had me squealing :-) I'm a bunny mama as well, so they have a huge place in my heart. Thank you for fostering the little munchkins.
Holy cow, I would have used that desk for firewood, no way could I have imagined how awesome it looks now. Really impressed how great that veneer top turned out, when I saw how many holes you were filling I figured you'd have to paint it.
Hi Angie, I'm shaking my head watching your reveal. I've been on this planet over 65 years now, most spent creating in multiple mediums, and you always surprise me. I know it's not just skill, there is a lot of love that I'm looking at here. You are some kind of special young lady!!! This might be my fave to date. Whenever I create something, I always take a few moments to state my intentions for the new owner. Your intentions are crystal clear at first glance! Well done...🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
As a auto body repair guy, I would recommend trying something called a finishing glaze to do large areas like that. There are several ones, metal glaze and blaze glaze are my favorite. They go on super smooth as they are very thin compared to filler and the sand ability is much better. Spreads much smoother as well.
@@Tmlatyoutube it would. It will go on silky smooth. It is a little more costly than just body filler, but for large areas that don't have to be super thick it would be hard to beat.
I have no idea how you lug all these pieces. I have tried to go out with my son and pick up a few pieces. The pick up alone is exhausting me. Haha. Then the time to deliver. I commend you. I think I am going to unload what I have an stop. Haha
Another great job! Do you typically need a primer with fusion? I didn’t use a primer on my mid century mod credenza and there was a little piece that peeled.
Angie You are so amazing love to hear you talking . Today I was a bit down but hearing you and seeing all the amazing work you do cheer me up. Thanks for being so genuine and such amazing professional 🤗🤗🤗
Wow you are truly a great surgeon for these pieces this turned out stunning I learned so much from your channel I am so grateful for you and always love learning new things and what this piece I've learned a lot thank you so much have a great evening and God bless you my dear friend
Wow, Frankin-desk! Yes, did look homemade. Good call on your part to test that paint, to save your lungs and environment. As usual, you did a great job, especially considering what you had to work with. Have a great week!🙂👍
I'm sure this piece didn't look this great when it was first made. I don't know what possessed you to paint it two-tone, but I'm glad you did! So glad this ended up in your hands.
Looks wonderful! Just a suggestion: attach 4 chair mounting brackets to the top of a rectangular scrap board. Then you can screw the legs on so they are easy to paint or stain and you won’t need to handle them much and they can stick up in the air to dry. So helpful.
Memories of Grandpa...my Mom's father was always building something out of nothing...recycling used plywood into a desk would be right up his alley. And muliple shades of paint inside a peice never bothered him. You transformation is stunning and thank you for educating your viewers about lead dangers.
Congrats! Another restored beauty. I like the two-tone paint scheme. Nice commentary, too. Glad you included the top sealer problem, as it shows other refinishers that everthying doesn't always work and you have to make a correction.
This desk looks so cool! I love that you revealed your oops with the stain. Even people who know what they are doing sometimes have problems arise. Great job taking a dump desk and turning it into a trendy workstation!
Before the putty: 50 years ago we would first apply a very very thin seal coat of varnish to seal the wood project this would bring out the true color of the wood. then the wood filler wood be applied to match the true color of the grain of the wood; after that we would add additional seal coats of varnish to finish the project.
I think you did a completely amazing job! It’s really reassuring to see folx coming up against challenges like your weather situation, & explaining the troubleshooting instead of glossing over it. I LOVE the paint & the way it sets off the wood. You should be super proud!
I don't usually comment on videos, but I just had to say something about this one. In the words of my sweet grandma, "I've never seen anything like this in all my born days!" 😂 You gave this desk the Cinderella treatment! Like others, I knew this desk was just fit for the trash, but here you are, proving us all wrong! I'm always amazed by your awesome work. Great job as always!
The whole piece is gorgeous. The top is especially beautiful, the two-toned paint job is very artistic and the legs you chose are just right for the desk. Bravo!
The two-tone paint is really hard to do well. Getting straight lines with your masking was really important. The top…if we hadn’t seen you do the repairs, I don’t think we would have seen them in the finished product. The glow on the top is sweet! You really picked a tough one this time, and you nailed it as usual!
You are a true artist! Your vision for your pieces is spot on. I am an interior designer and love what you do with these unloved pieces to bring them back to life. I appreciate being able to watch you work your magic!!!!
That poor desk had one foot in the grave. Then you came along and brought it back to life and gave it a much needed face lift. I'd say it's a winner. Most of all it gets to live on!
SO BEAUTIFUL! I'd say definitely a swan. You put so much love into this piece, even removing lead paint. You are a super hero. Thank you for saving this ugly duckling and "not looking back" as the ad said haha.
You really just amaze me Angie. You are an absolute gift to the refurbished furniture world! And it’s a blessing that I get to watch you work your magic. And I DO realize that it’s some HARD work! You are fantastic! And this piece turned out fantastic!!
Again, during this restoration, I thought the combination would never work. Yet to my surprise it does, and exceedingly well. Truly a beautiful swan. Thank you for sharing.
Love how this desk turned out! I really had doubts at the start but the top is amazing!!! So pretty. The rest turned out well too. Great job on this. Glad you showed your troubles with it too. Can't wait for your nest flip. Thanks.
Good job! Deal with those elements girl! When you opened your storage unit, I'd thought you'd opened mine, so similar! Never ending projects, gotta live it!
Oh Angie! You did an outstanding job of taking a literal dump piece and made it into something anyone would love in their home. In my world you definitely created a swan!
I absolutely love watching the transitions. You haven’t disappointed me yet!! Lol every piece is gorgeous in its own unique way. I love love love how u incorporate the wood in all ur pieces. My favorite is when u white wash the tops and paint the rest. Beautiful!!
So essentially you found the Canadian Goose version of a piece of furniture, bad tempered and hard to deal with, and managed to change it into something fantastic!! Great job!!
Bonjour Angie.... wow! I would of thrown this in the fire for sure! What a fantastic transformation! Love the two colours. It is a mandarin duck in my book! Beautiful as always! Félicitations! Christine 🇨🇦
The top of that desk is gorgeous! The filler doesn't show at all. You chose the perfect stain, and the multiple finishes gave it grain incredible depth. 👏 👏👏👏
Congratulations, Angie, on another successful rescue! I think the darker color works better than the two-tone, but that said, you nailed refining the top and the hardware. No one would believe that’s the same piece!
Your finial product of the desk is very gorgeous. I enjoy watching your restorations a lot. Your pieces are so beautiful when you get done them. Thank you for your efforts of keeping large pieces of furniture out of the landfills. Have an awesome day.
At the risk of repeating myself, that desk turned out so beautiful! I loved hearing about the problems you encountered and how you solved them. The intermission was also adorable and welcomed. I would encourage you to insert various things in your future videos too, but only if your data from this video agrees lol. I want you to succeed with RUclips! I see you also picked up some more subscribers. Congratulations 😍👏❤💯🥂🥳🔨
I get butterflies in my chest when any type of art “moves” me; music, wall art/ portraits….. and your recreations. I’m on Team Earth so I love when things are repurposed.
"swan is a stretch"-made me laugh. This was quite the challenge. My grandfather made my sister and me desks kind of like this, but instead of drawers, there was a two-tiered cabinet with a door. Ours were made of solid wood, and each was mounted to the studs in our bedrooms. Love those custom paint colors!
I thought I would prefer it painted in one color, but after seeing it, it's clear to me that the two-toned look elevates the elegance of the piece. Painted one color would look nice but would be indistinguishable from a million other desks. Nice work, as usual. I love how the top turned out.
This was a miracle of healing steps. That top is buttery and the two colors in painting a good choice. I never would have thought it possible. Thank you for the transformation. There is hope for us who think of ourselves as ugly ducklings
Yes I agree you did turned into a swan the two tone colour that looks awesome and you did say that from the trash that in itself is a success thank you for sharing can always learn something new I do love your DIYs thank you for sharing have a great weekend God bless you my dear friend
What a lot of effort you had to put into that piece. It's kind of hard to imagine at the beginning what it might be like, and look at it, how well it came up. Unbelievable! Congrats Angie. All the best. Janice from Oz.
I know you’re hard on yourself because you’re a perfectionist - and it shows in your stunning work! - but just be sure to remind yourself that you really are talented. Truly, many others add their own flare but even your “wonky” or “unique” designs are still classy and so aesthetically pleasing.
Angie I enjoy what you put together and share here. I like the way you interact and are simply down to earth. No show just showing everyone what you are so damn good at. My wife and I have just started buying old dressers to do this as a hobby. We just got started and already I have goofed bad on my first buy....lol and also made a great deal at the second one. My day of collecting up what I could evened out I guess but either way this ia all for fun at least for me. Thanks, Roger
Hi! Mrs Angie. You are now my brand new! Queen baddie! Your fan from Philly. Loves everything you do. Queen boss! Thank you. For sharing your videos. 😘🤩😍😇👍👑⭐🤗💖😁☕🍷👏👏👏
This is just incredible!! Love the two tone! You did a Fab job on that veneer and Bondo on the rest was a great trip! Thanks for always for taking us through the steps / always learn something!!
The color combination sure surprised me. Looking good and good job especially on what you had to start with. Love watching ugly ducklings make their swan entrances. Thanks for sharing and be safe.
That is 1000% better. It was REALLY ugly before, now it's a cute little contemporary desk. Great work. I also appreciated the lesson on dealing with lead. ❤
Wow! An incredible transformation! I am always amazed by your ability to take something that seems hopeless and turn it into a treasure that anyone would love to have.
I love this video. Raising 7 kids + my 2 nieces on a limited income, we often had furniture as sad as this desk. Most of what we owned at one time was made over n some way. The vision & education u provide n this particular video proves w/a bit of elbow grease, imagination, fairly attainable products & seeking knowledge = an affordable piece of furniture to be proud of. U inspire people of restricted income that they can redo & own pieces to be proud of. Thank you for inspiring everyone - truly all/everyone at most every income level. Bravo!! Great job!
Without a doubt, so far this has been one of the biggest challenges I've seen yet. Not only was it ugly, but it was obviously made of cheap material. I did not think you were going to be able to salvage the top. Kudos on an excellent job doing just that and it turned out beautifully. Also you kept the design simple, and since the lines were plain also, your choice worked out very well as a finished look. Now all you need is a cute "matching" chair to go with it.
Beijos from Rio de Janeiro - Brasil.
I found a 1950's sewing machine cabinet, very similar to this desk, in better conditions, and this video is a perfect inspiration for its remake. Thank you very much
I would NOT have believed that piece of garbage could turn into something so amazing. You are an artist, no question.
Thanks for watching!
I'm an armchair viewer who, except for cleaning a thrifted piece, does no furniture flipping sanding, staining and paint work, and have huge admiration for your work. You deserve even greater admiration for this piece. She looks fabulous!
I tried a tiny nightstand. It looks on RUclips easier as it is in real life. The more I admire the results shown here and in other channels.
I AGREE!!
Great job, you really had your work cut out for you!
I'm a retired Painter and Decorator from UK, and thanks to your video's I've found myself a new Hobby, THANKS, your work is brilliant..👍
Give credit where credit is due... From kindling to a beauty. We all know what you do is always amazing. You are also a great teacher.
That is an impressive transformation!! AND - who doesn't like a bunny break??!!
My first thought was that this desk was suitable for kindling, but once again, you've done your magic and transformed it into a beauty! Also, the little bunnies had me squealing :-) I'm a bunny mama as well, so they have a huge place in my heart. Thank you for fostering the little munchkins.
I'm a bunny mom
Never had so much fun in my life as I do with my bunnies
I also restore furniture and I love turning something in to a piece of beauty
Holy cow, I would have used that desk for firewood, no way could I have imagined how awesome it looks now. Really impressed how great that veneer top turned out, when I saw how many holes you were filling I figured you'd have to paint it.
Yeah, it’s not *perfect* but looks soooo much better than I initially thought it would with all that damage .
The part with lead paint wouldn't even have been good firewood!
Hi Angie, I'm shaking my head watching your reveal. I've been on this planet over 65 years now, most spent creating in multiple mediums, and you always surprise me. Whenever I create something, I always take a few moments to state my intentions for the new owner. Your intentions are crystal clear at first glance! Well done...🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
Glad you talked about lead paint. Always surprised it doesn’t come up in older furniture renovations. This is an amazing refinish. Wow.
As a auto body repair guy, I would recommend trying something called a finishing glaze to do large areas like that. There are several ones, metal glaze and blaze glaze are my favorite. Aww , thank you so much ! ❤️❤️
You are simply AMAZING, honestly your teaching us so much as you take on all these challenges , nothing is wasted. Be proud.
Blessings
Wow you are truly a great surgeon for these pieces this turned out stunning I learned so much from your channel I am so grateful for you and always love learning new things and what this piece I've learned a lot thank you so much have a great evening and God bless you my dear friend
Thank you, I recently started refinishing 'garbage' and love your tutorials containing grit and mistakes, super instructive
Wow, Frankin-desk! Yes, did look homemade. Good call on your part to test that paint, to save your lungs and environment. As usual, you did a great job, especially considering what you had to work with. Have a great week!🙂👍
I mean really- that’s incredible from where it started. The top is absolutely stunning.
I'm sure this piece didn't look this great when it was first made. I don't know what possessed you to paint it two-tone, but I'm glad you did! So glad this ended up in your hands.

Never thought of that either. What a great idea. Thanks
I stick mine in sturdy cardboard boxes(check out industrial and restaurant food boxes especially fresh veg and meat boxes) upside down until dry!
Memories of Grandpa...my Mom's father was always building something out of nothing...recycling used plywood into a desk would be right up his alley. And muliple shades of paint inside a peice never bothered him. You transformation is stunning and thank you for educating your viewers about lead dangers.
Angie, when you voice your doubt about the outcome of a piece, I have total faith in you that it will be another remarkable surprise to us all!
Congrats! Another restored beauty. I like the two-tone paint scheme. Nice commentary, too. Glad you included the top sealer problem, as it shows other refinishers that everthying doesn't always work and you have to make a correction.
It was such a struggle- the humidity just ruined all my plans hahah :-) I was happier in the end with the new finish anyway though!
This desk looks so cool! I love that you revealed your oops with the stain. Even people who know what they are doing sometimes have problems arise. Great job taking a dump desk and turning it into a trendy workstation!

I love the 2 different paint colors. It adds interest! Great job! That was a huge challenge!

I love a good mini-lop intermission!! So much cuteness in such little bunny bodies! 💜
SO BEAUTIFUL! I'd say definitely a swan. You put so much love into this piece, even removing lead paint. You are a super hero. Thank you for saving this ugly duckling and "not looking back" as the ad said haha.
It was definitely a lot of work but a fun challenge anyway!! ❤️ Thank you 🙏
I love the colors on this desk! I feel this desk is a total swan! You hit it out of the park! You did a fabulous job!
You really just amaze me Angie. You are an absolute gift to the refurbished furniture world! And it’s a blessing that I get to watch you work your magic. And I DO realize that it’s some HARD work! You are fantastic! And this piece turned out fantastic!!

You're very welcome! 😊
That’s just insane. I can’t believe that’s the same desk!!! As usual, amazing work. And thank you for the bunnies 🥰
So glad you hung in there and finished the piece! It really did turn out beautifully!
Love how this desk turned out! I really had doubts at the start but the top is amazing!!! So pretty. The rest turned out well too. Great job on this. Glad you showed your troubles with it too. Can't wait for your nest flip. Thanks.
Good job!
Deal with those elements girl!

Wow!!!! This is stunning, yet again you have smashed this one out the park. I can’t believe it’s the same desk. 😍
Oh Angie! You did an outstanding job of taking a literal dump piece and made it into something anyone would love in their home. In my world you definitely created a swan!
Thank you Kim!! ❤️

You did a great job on this desk. I don't know that I ever would of tried to tackle a homemade piece like that. Kudos to you on a beautiful piece!
So essentially you found the Canadian Goose version of a piece of furniture, bad tempered and hard to deal with, and managed to change it into something fantastic!! Great job!!
Lol!!!
YEA!!! Another wonderful 'silk purse' transformation! Beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing the baby lop ear bunny love! So sweet! ❤🐇
I can’t believe this transformation. You really went out on a limb here and turned a old run down into a gorgeous piece of furniture.
Bonjour Angie.... wow! I would of thrown this in the fire for sure! What a fantastic transformation! Love the two colours. It is a mandarin duck in my book! Beautiful as always! Félicitations! Christine 🇨🇦
Oh wow…you under estimate what you did for this piece and the earth…love it…your artistic skills always shine through your pieces…
The top of that desk is gorgeous! The filler doesn't show at all. You chose the perfect stain, and the multiple finishes gave it grain incredible depth. 👏 👏👏👏
Amazing transformation. Doesn’t look like the same piece
You never cease to amaze me...u and "Lemons to Lemonade" the best thus far
Love your foster bunnies, Angie. They are so cute, and you are so wonderful for taking care of them. God Bless You!
Thank you so much!🐰🐰
The two toned painting saves this from average beautiful to excellent. Angie's Excellent Adventure, let it be known . Thank you
Congratulations, Angie, on another successful rescue! I think the darker color works better than the two-tone, but that said, you nailed refining the top and the hardware. No one would believe that’s the same piece!
The plywood was definitely crap starting out, but you did a great job salvaging it. The top has a lot of character. Good job!
Your finial product of the desk is very gorgeous. I enjoy watching your restorations a lot. Your pieces are so beautiful when you get done them. Thank you for your efforts of keeping large pieces of furniture out of the landfills. Have an awesome day.
Huge win for this sad little desk! Kudos on the rescue! 🥰
I wouldn't call it a stretch at all, in fact I think this is one of my favourites so far. Amazing Sarah
I get butterflies in my chest when any type of art “moves” me; music, wall art/ portraits….. and your recreations. I’m on Team Earth so I love when things are repurposed.
Are freaking kidding me!!!! That was Awesome
Not only saved from landfill, but it's really beautiful now! The contrasting colours and wood look great.
I like the colors and the wood ! Turned out really nice !

Thanks so much for watching!
Watching you transform potential landfill into a functional piece of art was interesting and enjoyable. Happy new subscriber. 😊
Great job Angie, you had your work cut out for you there well done.🤗👍
It is adorable. The two tone was the perfect option! Looked very Nautica. Blues wood gold....⛵❤️👍🏾
I’m a fan. Going back to your older videos now. I really enjoy watching your process and the way you educate us about products and techniques. Thanks!
You're so welcome! 😊
Wow. I know I say it every time but seriously so good. You’re so good. One day hopefully I’ll get there.
Not only you have the skills but an exquisite taste to design the colors and finish of the furniture.
Hi! Mrs Angie. You are now my brand new! Queen baddie! Your fan from Philly. Loves everything you do. Queen boss! Thank you. For sharing your videos. 😘🤩😍😇👍👑⭐🤗💖😁☕🍷👏👏👏
I would say that was a swan after what you had to start. That’s a nice looking desk.
This is just incredible!! Love the two tone! You did a Fab job on that veneer and Bondo on the rest was a great trip! Thanks for always for taking us through the steps / always learn something!!
WOW!! I agree with the firewood comment! Once again, you’ve taken a FUBAR piece, and made it beautiful!!
Your little furry friends are so precious. Fantastic results. Well done!
Love the bold colour blocking, suits the masculine vibe I get from this desk!
The color combination sure surprised me. Looking good and good job especially on what you had to start with. Love watching ugly ducklings make their swan entrances. Thanks for sharing and be safe.
Wow! Great transformation! Great to see a desk saved from the trash.
Would love a desk like that in my house - starting piece of lumber etc, not so much. Thanks for rescuing furniture and bunnies. Love lops.
What is so amazing about this, is that you took a POS that most would use as fire wood and made it amazing instead with time and patience.
That is 1000% better. It was REALLY ugly before, now it's a cute little contemporary desk. Great work. I also appreciated the lesson on dealing with lead. ❤
I'm glad I can help! 😀
Wow! An incredible transformation! I am always amazed by your ability to take something that seems hopeless and turn it into a treasure that anyone would love to have.
Angie, you did it again. Brilliant job. Thanks for sharing

WOW!!! You amazed me on how you bring back dead pieces. Simply beautiful 💞
It turned out beautiful. Love the two colors. It is amazing to see your vision come to life....you are an artist. Ilearn so much by watching you.
Wow!!! Unbelievable! What a transformation!! I’m blown away. Fantastic job!!! Thank you for sharing this!! ❤

Thanks so much for watching Connie!
I found a 1950's sewing machine cabinet, very similar to this desk, in better conditions, and this video is a perfect inspiration for its remake. Thank you very much
ohmygoodness, it's BEAUTIFUL IN NOVA SCOTIA! and i just adore your cute bunnies!!! the desk? OUTASIGHT! LOVE IT!!!!
Thanks so much Dottie!!! ❤️
