      Great to see youngsters loving the OG XBOX. It’s a very underrated and underappreciated console!!! Many of the third-party games run better on the system and what’s so cool about it is that in some games, they can play custom music from when you rip it off from a CD to the hard drive

    excellent console with alot of good games, its nice to go back to these older games. IMO, I find that modern gaming has taken a step in the wrong direction and find myself bored or not interested in a lot of the newer releases and this is where retro comes in and saves the day.

      I found this a bit ironic because when I bought the Xbox back in 2003, my sister invited her friends and played Xbox and PS1 loaded with 500 NES emulated games. We ended up spending more time with NES games because the games are not lengthy to play and somewhat less complicated.

    • @Manic_Panic
      @Manic_Panic Год назад

      Did the same tbh. Got mine, upgraded it with a 2TB HDD and moved hundreds of games to the HDD because that weak optical disc drive is starting to fail in all revisions. Plus, the default 8GB IDE HDD is probably not on good health these days. You can put almost the entire console library on a 2TB drive which is pretty fun.
      Also replaced all capacitors with new ones that won't leak and of course the general cleaning like removing dust and reapplying thermal paste.
      I like the Type S controller and it's my main, it's the Japanese limited edition one.
      Another cool thing you can do is restore the DLC for the few games that had it since they were gone when Live was shutdown, thankfully the community saved them.

    Ah yes the original Xbox. I grew up with it and experienced some interesting games. I just bought myself a serviced and hardware modded Xbox today. Oh btw. There is a Xbox Live Replacement called Insignia in the works. The Controller S was designed for the asian market in mind at first. Also get the console checked. Microsoft used some cheap electrolyte capacitors that tend to leak. Nice Video!

    I actually have three original Xbox game consoles and the reason why I have three of them is because the very first one I got for Christmas many years ago stopped working on me since it wouldn't read any discs that I would insert in the console, so I ordered two extra OG Xbox systems from Amazon a few years back, one of which I'm actually using more as a dedicated portable game console almost since I have an amazing LCD gaming screen attached for playing games without the need for an actual TV. My other extra OG Xbox that I got from Amazon is hooked up to my main TV as a replacement for my first one that stopped working for me. I also have an Xbox 360 which is backwards compatible with most of my original Xbox games, but there are a few OG Xbox games though that I have that won't work on Xbox 360 since I still need the original Xbox to play them on. I only have just the original Xbox and Xbox 360 game consoles though since I don't own an Xbox One and I also don't have Xbox Series X/S either.
