When someone considers the 2000s style retro you know you've become really old
i started to game in the early 90's
it hurt, i had that iconic plastic cup many times before it became trendy to put on shirts, hats etc time flies
I was born '02 & don't even class 00's Retro

I feel like millennials and Gen-Z are definitely closer to each other than other generations because it seems like most of us have experienced the same things.

6:54 those controllers were genius, with that extra connection to pop apart, saved the console, the controller, the cable etc so many times when people walked passed and tripped over it.

I'm much younger than the guys and I'm cringing at their lack of knowledge of the white, yellow, red cords, tvs that break your hands and having to work with your siblings so when your parents aren't home

I remember playing Halo at 11 and 12 years old on PC because my parents wouldn’t by me an Xbox because it had too many M-rated games. Finally convinced them to buy me one for the release of Halo 2. Jumped on Xbox Live and still game on Xbox to this day.
The Xbox, PS2, GameCube era was the best in the history of gaming. What an amazing time
Don’t forget the N64, that console was incredible and I loved getting 3 other friends round to play.

I can't believe it's been 20 years. I remember when I got it for Christmas with Halo and house of the dead 3 with the light guns. Times were so stress free and fun. :)
House of the dead was literally my favourite game series ever me and my best friend back then use to play them co-op all the time from playing it in the arcade to being able to play it on Xbox was insane back then haha

C’mon guys. I’m only 21 and I had an original Xbox crystal when I was around 5, I used to love playing Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Simpsons Hit & Run. My introduction to gaming was with an Xbox original and I’m so glad it was!
Remembering the JetSet Radio future and Sega GT double feature disc with Buffy the vampire slayer, ninja Gaiden, and blinx trailers! So nostalgic 😢. Thanks XBOX! Bring JetSet back now!!

Im 21 I grew up with this type of style my brother grew up in 80s got to experience this era they passed down to me almost all there games and consoles I still have them to this day 🙌🏽

Me over here born in 1999 getting an Xbox at 5 and playing Battlefront 2 and halo. Those were the good days. Still have my game discs.
Original Xbox on Christmas morning in 2003 will still be one of my favorite memories. I still have the OG Xbox and I still play it.
Thank you Xbox and Microsoft for the 20 wonderful years I have enjoyed so far with your product and games. From child to adult I plan to continue using this till the day I pass on.

I’m only 18 and even I have memories of this old Xbox. I played this all the time with my nephew when we were really young. I already feel old.
I’m 16 and I have fond memories of this console, I mean sure I mostly grew up on the 360 but I fondly remember games like halo 2, need for speed underground 2, and midnight club 3 dub edition. Heck I still play some of these games by using the Xbox 360, since my old Xbox won’t boot anymore.
I also have heavy nostalgia for those old used game covers that GameStop used to use back in the day. You know the ones with those cartoon characters that look like they were created on newgrounds that they used to use?
Although I am 17, I saw the original Xbox in person once, and I really wanted to get my hands on one shortly after.

I’m almost 22 and I remember the first time I played the OG Xbox I played halo on it and then halo 2 and it blew me away
Getting my Xbox on Xmas 2002 was also my first DVD player, which blew my mind. Me and my brother's eyes nearly bled from non-stop Halo the entire day.
I'm 22 on the 8th of November. And I remember the OG xbox playing midtown madness when I was like 4 and 5 was the best time I ever had on xbox and have ever since. We always had the latest consoles in our house when my dad owned his own Game shop 😁

I remember using CD's and uploading music on the original Xbox and playing that music in certain games!. Was epic!! Possibly one of the Tony hawk games or another skating game.
Im 18 and this making me feel old. I remember my grandma buying my halo on the Xbox and staying up with my cousin playing it.
I was 12 years old when the og Xbox was released. Still remember the fond memories of playing on my limited edition green console. Helped me through very tough times after my mother's passing. I lost my dad last week and so the cycle begins again 💚

I'm 19 and I grew up with my dads OG xbox and I still have it, I'd play his halo ce and 2 collectors edition, along with brute force and my all time favorite game mechassault, this gave me big nostalgia vibes😌
I remember I got mine when I was 7 in 2002. The OGX still feels futuristic to me, it had so much personality, I remember having the upgraded controller and the DVD adapter with the remote. Playing Halo, JSRF, and Blinx. Good times.

I remember being really really young but going over to my mates place (conner) and it was great times and I remember them playing the original Halo and watching the first two lord of the rings movies back to back! Getting excited for return of the king! Great times!

I'm 37 so I remember the transition from cartridges to disc and the gradual progression of graphics. I remember back in the day how realistic "XBOX water" looked especially in Halo.

Dude. We had something called splitscreen. Wed get together with 3 other friends, on one couch, some pizza, and play halo multiplayer or racing games together for hours. Im not lying when i say, i feel sorry for you having missed out on that magic. Online play with friends isnt the same sadly...

Lan parties and the ability to play your own music in the game were the best features from the OG xbox. I've been gaming with the xbox since '01. Great times and many memories made throughout the years.
i have the xbox original and it was my first console playing halo and some other war hero game,, im not old at all im 16 but i’m glad to see others experiencing what i had growing up
