A lot of Gen Z kids share nostalgia for the last remnants of Millenial nostalgia before it stopped being the most relevant
@@Bruce_Games reruns
That's so funny. I watched reruns of late 80s cartoons in the 90s, ninja turtles, transformers, gi Joe.
I'll still claim them as part of me being a millennial.
Maybe because millennials and gen Z are so close in age. They are sibling generations.
Gen Z and millennials grew up at the same time just different ages.

I was born in 1998, growing up in the 2000s/early 2010s was better than it is in 2023. I wish there was a way to turn back time, so that I can relive those moments.
I am too young for gen z, it must of been so awesome back then
I experienced online on PS3 pretty late (Although I do remember playing LBP2 online in 2013, so my mum would not have bothered trying to get internet again until 2017, it is also possible that it was me deleting my user which had Playstation Network on it when I was still very young or I just got rid of the Internet settings)

@@aksGJOANUIFIFJiufjJU21 it is 2012 in many sources, although I'd argue it should be 2008-2015, so kids who can remember the pandemic and kids who can't just like they changed generational years because of 9/11.(im gen alpha too bro yay!!)
Man, I never really sat down and started digging for old songs until recently and man, I straight up cried listening to these songs. Like trap queen, safe and sound, and dynomite. I miss the old days of my life, not having to worry about much, just booting up skyrim. I guess all the stuff i was blind to really came back for me, because now that all of it's gone, I can't help but just sit for like 20 minutes straight just remembering everything.
I was born in 2006 and honestly I don’t remember a lot from when I was young, but I will say that I was never really an inside kid and I have lots more memories of me being outside and never played video games. The first time I had a video game was magical to me and it was on the PS3. I played lots of amazing games and my brother and me played this game called Disney Infinity and we thought it was the coolest thing and wanted to collect all of the figure and the extra stuff for our figures.
Same bro, officially adults this year. High school graduation soon already
Same, I remember that I wasn't allowed to use internet that much cause of how asian parents are, but I had a lot of fun memories of the outside world just wished it stayed the same 😢
i really miss the late 2000's and early 10's to be honest, i'm turning 18 this year and i'm not ready to be an adult either, i have basically almost the same nostagic vibes as you and it's crazy.
Trust me, it depends on how your family is. My family is laid back and chill, they understand I'm 18 and still learning and still see as young ( because I am lol ). It might seem like a big number but it's not.
Don't focus on the future and focus what's happening now, embrace it. 18 and 19 is the preschool of adulthood and you're still a teenager but with more privileges.

6:50 Oh so that's how it's called in english.
I'm 30 and the fact that people feel nostalgia for Flappy Bird and Minecraft is astounding to me. I finally know how Gen X and further beyond feel about The Youth™. There is probably gonna be a whole generation that has to be reminded that Saturday Morning Cartoons were a thing. And worse... the after school blocks that were isekai'd years before.
I feel the same way I had a full time job by the time most of this stuff came out.
I was in my 20s when Minecraft really took off. We now have adults that remember it as a childhood game. It’s like the Gen Z equivalent to our Goldeneye 007.

As a late gen z or zalpha who was born 2011, i grew up watching cartoon network shows like amazing world of gumball, We bare bears, and regular show. I also watched Ninjago masters of spinjitzu and remember the opening of the first season and then played with legos and sometimes play angry birds or play on my brothers ps3 and 2016-2018 roblox era lol
I'm assuming you're born in the 2000's? For us who are older than you, most of this stuff was more our teenage years or adult years that you described. But for people who are born 2000+ I feel like this video really describes the Gen Z experience.
Agreed. I was born in 1996, and for me the real nostalgia was from 1999-2005 and maybe 2006. The majority of the stuff from this video came out when my friends and I were either in late middle school or high school. I grew up with the Powerhouse era of Cartoon Network, and actually remember dial up internet and growing up before RUclips even existed. I consider myself a late Millennial, and I can tell whether or not someone is an early Gen Z or late Millennial by this simple question: what game consoles defines the 2000s and the one that is your real childhood? If you answer the PS2, GameCube, and Gameboy, then you are Millennial. If you answer the DS and Wii, then you are Gen Z. Personally I also grew up with the N64.

100%
In the same boat. But Im glad I share far more with millenials. I never figured I'd say that, but my generation has lost their freaking minds.
I'm born in 1996 and I'm definitely just a millennial.
I’m a ‘98 baby and I definitely am the same
I was born in 97, so firmly in GenZ, but I can still relate to some millennial things I guess. I’m honestly happy that I’m not a millennial.
This is the best early 2010’s nostalgia video I’ve seen by far. Bro really covered EVERYTHING
Finally! someone i can relate to. @LoneE you're someone i wish i had as a friend growing up because not a lot of people IRL could relate to some of these nostalgia things i was into. But hey, that's what youtube is for. it's easier to build a community.
I'm 22 by the way. time flies with adult responsibilities after high school, so it's important to have fun in the little moments in life.
As much as I feel super nostalgic over this video (born in 99'), just the few things you scratched the surface on made me think of how much entertainment, toys and technology we actually consumed in our childhoods before social media, smartphones and tablets became mainstays (except facebook and youtube). On top of that, I feel like older gen Z were the last gen to also go outside to play whilst having all the tech and TV that already took a lot of our time. Even though you mentioned stuff briefly I can think of A LOT of shows, movies, games of different kinds and youtube content that I used to consume constantly together with different toys, I didn't understand how much it actually was until now. We are a transition generation to technology becoming such a huge part of the daily life and I definitely understand now why my grandparents worried about me playing my DS in bed all day and later Minecraft, youtube and moviestarplanet until 3am, I consumed so much technology and was sucked into it. It's something I'm trying to unlearn a little bit because I now have more limited time being an adult and all.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE and cherish the memories, stories, characters, worlds and people I got to immerse myself into with all the different medias and it brought me and other kids closer together, but it does indeed put things into perspective of what we used our time on. For kids nowadays they have more clear access to phones, the internet and social media so it's waaay more toxic and unsanitized for them now. I can at least be happy we were in the beginnings of the internet and we had more sanitized and kid-friendly media to consume from. But other than that, technology is technology and it caught our attention, just like the gen that came after us.
I also remember playing outside and returning to home to play on computer it was 2010 or 2012
millennials used a lot of tech too in childhood but it was just gameboy color/pokemon and n64/ps2.. im born 91 and didnt use youtube until like 2008, in middle school/ealy high school years it was MSN and music on ipod...and random game websites like ebaums world, miniclip, addicting games. I dont remember anyone on youutube until end of highschool. Thas a difference between millennial and gen z , gen z were on youtube at early age
Yup older gen z here, 1997
Even though I was "only" born in 2005 I also remember playing outside a lot as a child even though I had technology around as well and used it, too
Born in 2008, still played outside until the pandemic. I just can’t get back into it now.
The 2010s were pretty alright to me, though I was that weird kid who didn’t really understand the trends until later on. I think middle school would be an interesting topic to cover.
I’m the same but I didn’t understand the trends and memes at all and thought people were just being stupid

I’m 21 and I grew up in the late 2000’s/ early 2010’s pop culture and I miss it so bad, but not everything was perfect for me back then.
I grew up in Mexico on a dangerous city and had to move to the US border for 2 years because of shooting that happened in my city, but living there in US were my best years of my life, but then my parents decided to move back once everything “calmed down” and grew and spent my rest of my childhood and teenager life there, everything was good until 2017 for me when I felt that everything started to decline for me, my friend started to act different and people on my city are the worst, and youtube content, music and pop culture started to became cringe for me, and back in 2020 when the pandemic barely began I started watching nostalgic videos and made me want to go back to those early 2010’s years. Now I have college with a career that I don’t like and a job I regret getting and I have no money, and I still have that American dream.

I'm Gen Z and my childhood just... hits different as a teenager
Talk abt how I grew up, it's a lil different than how y'all grew up, like toys, I used to play with Fidget Spinners with my friends in Kindergarten when I was 5 or 6, it was very memorable and I think I still had those fidget spinners I had like in 2017. I also grew up with video games such as PvZ or Minecraft (old version obviously), I remember playing Minecraft whenever I meet my cousin when I was 7, he was 10 that day, I am 13 now and he is 16 now, hits SO different. And talk abt Cartoons and Books, for Cartoons I grew up *mostly* with Thomas and Friends, and as a guy with an elder sister, I remember watching some cool studd with her, like SpongeBob or MLP (pls dont judge why I watch MLP with her), and for Books there were these horror books my sister bought to read together, I used to read them when I was 8, she was 13 those days, and I also remember buying a Minecraft guidebook in 2nd grade during a book fair, and also Star Wars books... hits SO different, ahh... my good old memories :).

Born in 2008, almost 15 in a couple days. I watched both the Nostalgia videos and almost started crying remembering all the fun stuff I did. I was a menace on Mario Kart Wii, Wii sports, and so many other things. I remember waking up in the mornings to go to school back in elementary school in like 2013-2019, Just waking up, watching Cartoon network or Nickelodeon while I either ate poptarts or lucky charms. I feel like the ads that went on with the TV's were one of the weirdest but coolest things ever Like Bunch-O-Balloons. I remember going to school just to sit in one class for 3 hours, going to lunch, doing our music class with some horrible recorders and xylophones. Then we would do the best part about my elementary school life, gym. We did so much cool stuff in there, there was just the normal dodgeball, the scooter things, and my favorite, the parachute. Playing so many fun games in the parachute when we saw it out, screaming in excitement as we would be able to do things. We would do this thing where we would throw all the balls into the middle of the parachute and we would shake the parachute, launching the balls outside of the parachute, watching them go flying around the gym. Twice a week, we would go to our computer labs, just a dimly lit room with like 40 computers in there. Everyone would have to do this thing called Jiji (STmath). I loved how your login was this bunch of symbols and letters in the form of pictures. When we were done with it, everyone would just play CoolMathGames. Everyone would play papa's pizzeria, Run 3, FireBoy and WaterGirl, learn to fly and so many other amazing games. When Id get home, I would immediately take all my school stuff off, running downstairs, grabbing a cup of goldfish, and if my dad was at work, I would just binge-watch Vanoss Deathruns and so many other things. When I was in preschool and kindergarten, we would always play Candyland when we were able to, I sadly have not played it since. We played sorry, Life, Monopoly, Jenga, and that silly little game where you have a timer and you put these yellow shapes in the same shaped hole, and then when the timer is up the shapes that you had already put in would all pop out and it was the best experience. Me and my brother had these little robot things that you could use that if you punched the chest of the other one the head would just blast off. When I first got into Roblox it was the best stuff, I still remember my first game being McDonalds Tycoon before I played a Tycoon that DanTDM played. I'm almost grown out of it now, playing once a week, but for every day for 6+ years, I would just log into Roblox and just had fun, even if the games weren't as good as they were when I was a kid. With legos, I would have so many of them just not in sets, I still have this MASSIVE bucket of just pure legos in there. Right next to the bucket of Legos, is a bucket of toy cars that my dad had growing up, and now something that I have growing up. In 8th grade (sophomore now) I was talking with some friends about SpongeBob and other cool things we did when we were younger. A sixth grader comes up to me and asks "What's SpongeBob? Me and my friends have never heard of it." That day, my brain thought of 2 choices: Feel bad for the kid and teach them what having a good childhood is like, or absolutely punching that kid in the face for not knowing what SpongeBob is. Luckily I chose neither and just froze in disbelief that this kid and his friends have not even heard what SpongeBob was. For some reason with all this nostalgia hitting me, I just feel old even if I'm almost 15, just reminding me that my cousins are in Gen Alpha, and they don't know what it is to have a truly good Childhood. I almost broke into tears when I showed them the early seasons of SpongeBob and they said they didn't like it.
this comment is so long respect!!!
@@nielsbakker5804 yeah I got a bit carried away, it was worth it tho 😅
🤣🤣🤣
Buddy you're still a kid!!! Have fun 😭
5:31 my personal favorite cartoon was dragon ball z but people consider it anime so it was yugioh
But Yu-Gi-Oh is also anime, lol
Damn I remember that I bought a sailor moon silly band pack cause I started liking anime. And waking up at like 4-5 a.m to watch old cartoon on a channel then when my parents woke up I would put another channel that put things like winx, pichi pichi pitch, witch, etc. Man I feel bad for younger Gen z kids cause they didn't even got to enjoy them flash games like us older gen z
i was born right in the end of gen z (2009) and i still played flash games, pure nostalgia
@@Jokko09 true you're like a mid gen z those from 2010 didn't get to experience it like us (weirdly enough they do count the kids that were born after 2010 as gen z. Guess we ran out of names for generations)
@@natsukifan8736 isn´t then gen alpha or something like that?
@@natsukifan87362010 and up is Gen Alpha
@@natsukifan8736 i'm 13 and i was born in 2010 however i still played flash games just maybe newer like papa's pizzeria
I’m 17… I miss the good old days of 2000s… it’s crazy how all of us never knew eachother but somehow still all have the same memories. Especially with hiding our ds and acting like we were asleep
I started crying when I heard ssundee’s old intro song I began watching ssundee when he had 4 million subscribers (when I was 3 years old) I really miss his old content. 😢
I actually played a board game this month. Monopoly. Before that... It was definitely YEARS ago.
I used to play board games every week. They are charming. Unfortunately did not play one for several years now. I have a huge Monopoly collection though.
Bro you're literally described my childhood. I can relate to 90% of the things you said, I remember staying up late to catch all the time restricted legendaries in pokemon alpha sapphire, so I had to hide my 3ds under my pillow too, and also the r4 card on the ds was BUSSSIN
the nostalgia hitted me harder than the Railgun from Quake III
My favorite RUclips era was the Alex The Noob era I remember discovering that series and loving it so much they still make videos but not that frequently and the main channel Logdotzip had the Lankybox effect where the video topics went from a little bit of everything to the same videos in different themes
As a Gen Z who born at 2002, i will said that 2008-2010s era is the best era for childhood and grow up. I really missed when i play my DS, Ps 2 and PSP as a children.
2:18 DUDE YES.
also when they made them out of freaking plastic and just apparently lost the budget for metal, I instantly stopped buying them.
bro i remember stealing parts from my friends to create the ultimate beyblade LOL I think i had xcalius or smthn
@@astro3 ah is that the horse one?😂
@@graysonderp5902 Yeah the plastic one is beyblade burst i hate this one the meta era was gold .
@@Aigle662frileux yeah i forgor what those monstrosities were called
Yesterday I turned 20 and this video made me smile with sooo many nostalgia.
This made me so happy knowing other people enjoyed the same things as me
Pokemon HeartGold brings back memories. (And the hickory sticks lol)
HeartGold and SoulSilver are two of my favorite DS games ever. The soundtrack is perfect, you had two regions which was incredible and Johto and Kanto are two of the best regions of the Pokemon franchise. The final fight against Red was so difficult as kid.
As a kid born in 2011, i can relate to most of these except for the video games i was out there playing borderlands 2 at 4 on my xbox 360💀
It’s so crazy how we barely had access to mass media back then but all did the same things. I remember literally everything mentioned in this video, from the bey blades, legends of Chima, and the wii to black ops zombies and total drama
Agreed.
The wii the DS and the RUclipsrs were extremely relatable and nostalgic to me as someone who was born in the late 2000s
6:21 the last time I played a board game I think was December 2022
I am also a late genZ born in 2011, but I’ve still played and seen most of the nostalgia
As a British Gen Z, it was very different
Really? I'm from Poland and most of the things are the same
@@panziemniak1261 I am russian and part ukranian and it was similar but still different (my family and I also moved a lot). I remember the pirate dvds with bad translation and weird dubbing. Also later on psp became a huge thing. Mario and nintendo were never big here (except for dendi but it's not really nintendo). I remember how everything was 4:3 and to me regular show was part of the ''new shows''. Snacks also were different obviously. But this differences are the results of different locations and ages aswell. Maybe someone who is younger and from western part of ukraine can relate a lot more to this than I did.
That's interesting because my brother remember pirating many games and movies (he was born in 1992) but i have a lot more western childhood ( i was born in 2004). I think that's because Poland now it's a lot more westernized culturally and technologically than 20 years ago
@@pee_0656 and a lot of people played super Mario in Poland in 90/00
@@pee_0656 about snacks in Poland we have similar things like in western Europe or USA but under different names. We also have a lot of regional and Russian snacks but they was less popular. For example i really like bread kvass and USA peanut butter cakes
I'm late gen z yet this makes me feel so nostalgic. I rember me and my friends playing Minecraft on his ps3 and roblox on my familiy computer truly a time to be alive.
Same
@@JustEpic_Yt yep me too, even as a 2005 born.
Lmfao I love the editing style and lil shit you ad. 😂
bro almost guessed my whole childhood in ten minutes
as a 13 y.o. although i cant relate to most of these things it still makes me upset knowing childhood is over
yea i turn 15 this year i dont wanna grow up
bro at 13 childhood is not over. go make more memories
I grew up with mostly stuff from the early 2000s and late 90s despite being born in 2004. I lived in a small town so I had to grow up with more "outdated" stuff. Of course I had a Wii, DS, PSP, all of that fun stuff. But it's interesting that I get nostalgic about the stuff from the 90s-2000s with people a few years older than me but can also share some nostalgia with my generation as well.
4:13 He's playing gamer in game and Wario irl
Sorry was the GOAT of board games, like friendships were broken over that game
