Aaliyah was seriously talented. A combination of vocals, dancing and a bit of originality in her songs, even for the time where this edgy hip-hop style R&B was everywhere you could look. It helps that she was a good looking woman and had a bit of styling that put her in an amazing light. Ofcourse this and every other well known song of her is through the brilliance of Timbaland, who produces and writes a lot of the music. Someone that has an ear for beats and bass that fit incredibly well with these harmonics.

He went on to write numerous number one songs for Aaliyah and ginuwine among other artist. His last big hit was with lil Wayne “lollipop” which he produced and wrote the chorus for.
