Thanks for being a part of this incredible journey!
Finally, someone keeping it real about profits. I just scrolled past a video because the thumbnail boasted about making 8 million selling digital products.
Thank you for being honest I just started one week ago no sell happened yet. Thank you for explaining all these fees and make a clear image for new sellers. Don’t trust those RUclips channels who says make 20k and 30 k in one month
I'm glad you found this video helpful. You'll get there! The fees can be so annoying but needs to be talked about 😂
How is it going after two months now

Congratulations! I remember I had about 8 organic sales as well in my first month🥳
I'm currently sitting at 232 orders in month 6. Hang in there! It takes time🥰
Any tips
What do u sell :)

Thanks for the helpful and informative video. You’re the first person I’ve heard about a payment reserve. Good luck with your shop!
Thank you for sharing your experience. Wishing you abundance of sales!
I found a true creator. This is what we need to see. Thank you
Congratulations Melanie!! Wohoo!!🎉🎉🎉
Aw! Thank you Bridgette ♥
Hey Melanie! Happy to hear you had success this month and love hearing how your strategies are working in real time! 🤗💜 thank you for this because I’m doing exactly the same & I get comfort from your vids that I’m not a crazy person for doing all this lol 😩🤣. I’ve been posting 4 listings a day in the new & old shop since Jan, both physical products- POD. I’ve had no success in the new shop besides daily spam & few carted items, but I’m going to take your advice & get a sister sale so I can get things moving! 🤣 I will say for the old shop I have had much more consistent sales & already have Feb orders. Interestingly enough, a handful of the sales are of the new listings I’ve posted (120 😩). I had to buy commercial license png bundles just to be able to keep up creatively. I do think it may be working though. They’ve already paid for themselves at least 4x now as I can use the art in both shops. I’m beginning to think quality of listings may not matter as much as the quantity & consistency as Etsy seems to be pushing my items that ppl have previously bought & reviewed when I was inconsistent. I’d love to hear your thoughts or see if the same works in your shops. 🤗 PS: YOU GOT THIS GIRLY! We will be successful! 🤭
Hi! Aw thank you for your encouraging and honest comment - I appreciate it! Starting a new shop and maintaining an old one is definitely not easy, but go you for being able to juggle both. That's awesome that you have made sales with your old shop. It seems that your bestsellers are being pushed out my Etsy, which is great! Are your niches for your old and new shop different or somewhat similar? I can relate to you because for my main/old shop, I am still getting sales and I think a reason is that I was very consistent at the beginning of my store and eventually I toned it down in terms of quantity by a lot, but Etsy still has been pushing out my products to people. YES - we will! I love your energy :)
Any sales on your 1st month is amazing. Congratulations on that. I have a POD store and I’m adding digital downloads. Hopefully I see sales quickly.
Aw thank you! I appreciate it :) That's great - please keep us updated😊You got this!
I have a digital download shop and am considering a POD store so we're opposites :)

@curvychicany So it’s 5 months later now, how’s it going with your shop?
@@zel0552 I did not add digital downloads, I’m still selling physical product. have sales weekly, but working to get more.
Hey Melanie, I just watched your video and i must say that it was really informative and well-made. i was wondering if i could help you edit your videos and also make highly engaging shorts out of them.
Hi there! Thank you so much for this valuable information! I was wondering, since you are testing what works and what not... do you also take the freedom in different styles for now? Or is this a bad idea since a coherent look is important in the end. But maybe this is something less important in the test phase. Or is it better to test multiple shops next to each other?
Hi! Thank you for kind comment :) I currently am not trying different styles right now, meaning I have a consistent brand theme. Before I started my shop, I chose 3 colors that I would stick with. From my mockup photos to my Canva templates, I'm making sure everything is coherent. BUT that was not the case with my "dead" Etsy shop, lol. I rebranded 3 times and tested different styles, but to no avail, which is another reason why I started this new shop. Hope that answers your question!
Great video!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I only have one question, I have published my store and listed it. How do i actually get sales tho ?
Congrats
But how?? Can you video journal your journey. Whats your background? How you start of? Why? And which product and why??
I'll probably make another video answering questions and my side hustle journey :)
I just opened my shop and 3 weeks in, no sales yet.
1 hr and a half creating 1 digital product is so fast. But I understand since I am literally a beginner and I've been spending weeks thinking and I cant move forward. I feel stuck and I dont know what to do. I have a product idea already. Printables. But I dont know , I'm overwhelmed and I dont know what I am doing' haha
Can you share a link for your store?
Have any questions? Let me know in the comments below :)
Thank you 😊
Thanks for the info.
Glad you found it helpful :)
What is your background education? I feel like many of the people who make and sell digitals have backgrounds in graphic design. I don’t have money or time for that! I have 3 college degrees and would love to finish my passion and retire! Journals. Making digitals but I suck at marketing and need to learn how to make them! There lies my dilemma! Any suggestions 😊😂
Its realistic to make a full income from etsy?
You can control them to leave reviews. They will have discount for next purchase if they leave a review first
Mine didnt last 90 days. I started october 13th 2023, so I'm about 4 months in and it started in december, but with good sales and happy customers they remove it
That's really reassuring! I hope that's the case for me as well 😅
Thank you
Can you link your Etsy shop?
honest video
🎉🎉🎉
0:11, three etsy shops😮 how?? Isn't estsy shutting down more than one shop on same ip address??
So far that hasn't happened for me. There are many Etsy sellers that have multiple stores. You just have to use a different email address for each store!
@@melanieerenee ok thanks for response.
There’s a lady who has 19 Etsy shop!! She wasn’t shut down because all 19 is not selling the same thing. She has different items and niches.
What are you selling for a digital product?
I sell Canva templates!
I'm also starting a RUclips channel and also an Etsy shop, but I don't know what digital products to sell 😭
That's awesome! I would recommend choosing digital products that are profitable (people are actually searching for them) and that also align with your interests. My website also has a free ebook that gives you the top digital products people are looking to buy!
Thanks for sharing. I opened my Etsy shop 5~ days ago. Ran some ads and spent some money.
I have 23 products listed so far, and can upload 36 more in the next week or two.
I got 55 visits yesterday. 21 so far today. No sales yet.
Wow, you're pumping out those products - good for you! Consistency is key when you're just starting off. I believe in you!
I’m ganna hire a. Freelance marketer to help me take off for the first 2 months. I can’t afford Etsy adds.
Wouldn't Etsy ads be cheaper?
Why have multiple etsy shops?
She answered that several times in the video
You can open several shops if you have different things to sell. Different niches and such. Some people don't want to sell plants and jewelry in the same shop. Typically "specialty" shops do better than shops that are all over the place with products.
Help me please 🎉🎉😫
Let me know if you have any questions! I'd be happy to help!
Not true about the reserve, if you do a legit/verifiable tracking number you get the funds way sooner and there is no hold
This is all awful advice. They don’t think orders are suspicious. The reserve is for everyone after they make their first sale so people buying don’t tell them to wait 2 weeks. That has nothing to with anything. Etsy is more apt to make you a star seller at 90 days the sooner and faster you have sales
I’ve had several Etsy shops over the years
There is no reason that Etsy should be reserving on digital products that aren't allowed to have cancellations or returns, and won't be shipped. This seems like just a money grab to hold on funds longer.
And now do the math how much you made per hour. 😅😭
you know that mic has a clip right? you don't have to hold it...
Less rustling and cleaner sound when it's held
@@michaela1954 just needs to be placed correctly. i use them for work all the time and the only time they rustle and the sound isn't clear is when the wearer messes about with them.
they're industry standard for broadcast on international TV when fitted to clothing so you clearly don't need to hold it!
What mic is this?
It's great that I was able to watch this video, it's very realistic and I followed you. But if you can share how you make that product and what product you sell, that would be great.
