Actually truth is little different. Its not easy to start Etsy digital shop but the thing is that it might take time when it goes up. You have to be very patient and add every day more listings be consistent and it might take up to 3-4 months before you start to earn decent revenue. It took for me 5 months to make decent money. Tip for Leonardo AI users: You can easily create repeating patterns by choosing 1:1 as the dimension of your image. That means the width and length should be the exact same number, for example 1200 px. And most importantly you need to tick off tiling. When you use tiling it will create patterns that can be repeated endlessly without a visible border. Good luck!
I really appreciate your honesty opposing to the other youtubers who promise we would get rich doing this in no time. I ended up as an Etsy seller because I believed many of those people. I still don't regret it because I found a new hobby that might end up profiting one day, but so far after 2 months of hard work (opposing to the promised easy job) I'm still deep in negative profit. And they make the market more saturated too by convincing other people to jump into the wagon. At least your videos show the truth and honestly the products you showcased in this video, including their thumbnails are very high quality that most new Etsy sellers won't be able to produce unless they have experience in graphic design. Also many people wouldn't have the time to produce such a high number of listings, and having more listings helps with being found. So chances are other people might get their first 2 sales many months later, while initially believing they would get rich in a month.
It sucks you haven't made that much money yet but that's the thing about making money online. Nothing about online is easy and takes literally years to be truly successful. And now with AI, everything is just going to get even more saturated which sucks even harder! The best way to succeed is to focus on what you're truly passionate about. Otherwise you don't have a voice and no one will listen to you or give a shit.
This video is very sad for us artists that draws everything my hand and has the hard job to be creative and took years on etsy to get reconzied. After AI showed up my sales on etsy went down so much! It makes me so discouraged to continue =(

@@rogerriveroll6324 It does get a little better but, you're right. It's so saturated. The key to success, from what I've found, is getting reviews on your shop. People tend to buy something from a proven seller or one that appears "trustworthy". So, as time goes on, you MIGHT get some reviews that add credibility to your shop, which COULD translate to more sales. The best advice I've gotten is to have friends/family make a purchase and leave a review for you. Or even trying co-workers. Anyone that knows you on a personal/in-person level can be a great help. What sucks is that this whole platform leads to a kind of feedback loop for successful sellers. If you're successful, then more people will choose you over someone else. Which leads to more sales, more success and more customers. That's how you see the big sellers on there, their success feeds into itself. I personally wish Etsy would make more of a effort to highlight newer sellers rather than spoon feeding customers to sellers that don't need them.

Thank you for the complete honesty. 🙏🏾 Unlike others you didn’t hide any of the costs and expenses involved. I can feel more confident watching your videos.
finally an honest person, love you man ( for your content :D)
Appreciate your honesty. This was a great honest video. You’re a genuine gem!!
I like that you were straight about the numbers, no BS scams for clicks. Thumbs up!
Thank you for your honesty. There's so many Hustles out there that people are selling a false dream on. I'm glad you can benefit from this video by being authentic and honest. People will respect you more for that.
Wow, respect! First time I see someone doesn't scam people and just shows the real results. Congrats🎉
This helped me so much, seeing that yes it IS satureted and no, I'm not the only one who failed. Thank you
Thumbs up for your honesty and realistic results.🙂
Love that you kept it real with your audience. Respect!
So wild how many people respond without watching the video. I appreciate the honesty of this video. It confirms a lot of what I’ve been suspecting about selling ai generated products and Etsy’s business practices.
Thank you for your honesty in reporting your actual results. So many YT gurus make it sound like we can get rich off many of these side hustles.
Thank you for being honest! I have a 7+ year old Etsy shop, so I'm a little established. I think you are on the right track with unique/niche designs. If you created the store for this challenge, it makes sense that it started slow. The longer your store is up, the more it will be seen. It's just like SEO and websites. Takes time. Add more product categories too. POD is a great idea and I'm curious how that will respond.
Wow! So sad. Now I know that I can't make $100 a day selling patterns. I really appreciate your honesty! I get really tired of people telling me that I could make $100 a day or more doing something like this. Other people are encouraging us to do something that is just going to be a waste of time and money.
I kept saying "ahhh" after every expense was revealed! You put so much work into them too. This is so realistic! I say, keep it up for at least a year and update us monthly to see if we see any changes. Thanks for sharing this was fun to watch.
This was a fun and informative video. Good content!
With AI, social media listening becomes more effective, enabling brands to understand conversations around their industry and respond accordingly.
How incredible is this video !!!!
This kind of video is the best I had ever seen in RUclips !!! How honest you are , thanks 🙏🏻
I love how true it is !!!! Thank you!! I was brainwashed and ready to go on Etsy to make a Billion Dollars!!
Thanks for your sharing the realistic picture via Etsy…things just never be easy at all. Keep it on 🤗
I appreciate this transparency. This was worth the watch.
I've also never heard Navajo said like that before
You just gained a subscriber for keeping this video REAL
You actually showed the step-by-step process of how to do all this! No one ever does that! I'm honestly impressed! Whether I do this or not (I'm looking more into stickers and printed journals), you've earned a sub!"
Such a fun and entertaining video but oh boy.... the negative profit😂Congrats on the 2 sales though, that's actually not bad for such a competitive niche hahaha. Mad respect for spending all that time making 100 listings!
I have a Society6 shop. I'm a graphic designer and artist. I uploaded & sold some of my actual art. The money made still doesn't really cover the amount of time spent. I may still try. I need more art in my shop. Appreciate your honesty
Hey, as a previous card maker, your papers were gorgeous! You just need the proper exposure. ❤ Also… not a lot of card makers have the proper printing capabilities for these. Am here if you want any help.
as a designer myself, who loves to purchase digital ( hand drawn ) contents I actually know when the designs/illustrations are Ai generated
Hey Jensen, loved the video. I was wondering if you could do a vid where you try 5 money-making methods from easy (uber, car wash etc.) to hard like dropshipping and, the stock market. Just thought it would be a fun vid.
That's a cool idea! I'll see what I can do :)
I hope your channel continues to grow! Almost at 1K subs here - Thank you guys!
Thanks Jensen. As always you are one of the genuine youtuber shows how to do something in it's best way as well as it's realistic side. 😊
I've been reading about generating art with AI and selling it, and I was wondering if people actually buy that art. Thanks for this detailed explainer video on how it's done and whether or not it's worth it.
You made more money from the Adsense than from the side hustle
Feels like ai in the comments. Wouldnt surprise me
Wow, this sounds so interesting! I can't wait to see how it went for you over those 30 days. Side hustles are always intriguing, espec
You know what's worse? He is describing all those emotions, especially disappointment over not making sales, but he barely did any work. Sure ti put all of this into place, and make it so aesthetic is work. But I'm thinking about the artists who design and draw their own pattern/stickers. That's even sadder. And now, more of them, the real artists, will feel like this because of these damned Ai.
Man was just reviewing it. Stop being sad 💀
Have you thought of being original as an artist?
The knowledge you have in this area is priceless
I'm favoured, $27K every week! I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support God's work and the church. God bless America.
Yes! I'm celebrating £32K stock portfolio today...

This is scam omg...@JasonBeghe-zm6qs
Props to you for showing the harsh reality. Also appreciate the final cost split. Really helps to understand what you're going into.
AI patterns are NOT it, don't do it people, seriously, you're better off just using the patterns for your own products
Subscribe because you are being honest about it. Some RUclipsrs show you the top sellers in the marketplace and sell you the dream that you can be one of them too. The truth is, the marketplace is oversaturated, and there are more sellers than buyers right now.
One could argue that you in fact did receive the appropriate amount of profit for the value you created ;) Thanks for the video!
I relate to this video. I still haven't made a sale as of this moment almost a month trying digital products, but the advice is just don't give up, instead improve your products and SEO skills to ensure you will get sales.
Love the video❤️ I just started my print-on-demand journey and found Crafted Threads. They have a ton of designs and it saved me so much time. They have something in every niche. And lifetime updates too!!
Man it's nice to get a really honest step-by-step review
You, My Brother, just earned a LOYAL SUBSCRIBER💥💛

Very good video man! Love your energy and quick, friendly style of presentation. Makes your video super fun and easy to watch!
Finally someone showing the other side of side hustles as well. +1 sub. BAAM CHANG
Thank you for telling the truth, you have a new subscriber
love how realistic this vid is! no sugarcoating!
Who is your video editor? Phenomenal work! Thanks for sharing ❤
Myself! Thanks for watching!
I'm an old man who don't sub easily. But I subbed to your channel due to your honesty.
This is the most refreshing video I’ve seen in this space. Instant subscribe 🎉
Other than depressing for real artists that put hours to the work and years of experience on the table, this is one of the most honest videos I've seen these days. Thank you. Question, did you mark your art as AI generated when listing on Etsy? I wonder if people would care more to see artist made things on that platform than AI generated things. Just a thought. Thank you again for the challenge!
Great honest video. You forgot to mention the hours you invested but the video you created here was worth it in the long run. Great content! You now have a new subscriber. 👍
