I have tried RUclips, low content books, candles, jewelry, books, digital products, classes... and find none of them have picked up. I need to find something since I no longer have a driver's license. I am focusing on digital products since I live in such a small space so don't have storage room and can no longer get to the post office to ship items. How did you initially scale your tumbler sales? I have an online merch store but am struggling with driving sales.
I eventually ran about $15/day in ad spend to get to those level of orders, but it was personalized item, so at the time, not a lot of competition on Etsy :)

You're welcome! Since my Etsy shop and membership site are all organic, it's about a 85% profit margin after fees and software. My 'coursemunity' sales are also from organic content, so that sits at about 91%. These are all gross amounts without taxes of course, but I really don't spend anything other than in transaction fees and software costs and one part time VA.

Hi! Great video as always. Thank have a question about hybrid shop-I think you’re the only one talking about this-I’m seeing physical products on Etsy that also offer the digital design. For example, a tshirt with graphic and then the graphic itself is sold in the same listing as a digital file. Cool also bc it makes the list price lower. Right now I have a lot of total solar eclipse shirts listed and have had a few people inquire about buying the design as a png/svg. I don’t sell much as I’m new so a big part of me feels like if I should list the digital file as well bc at least if I sell a few it’s better than nothing. However, the licensed artist in me says no way. Idk what to do. I need income.😅 since the designs are not evergreen maybe I should and if so when? Now or in a week or two closer to the event? TIA. And thanks for all you do to help us wrap our heads around this thing called POD.
You could definitely offer them as well, and they may end up taking off and you find yourself with more of a digital shop than a POD like I did :) I understand it's hard to start new shops these days with the Etsy rules/bots so I've been actually do the same thing with some of mine :) Designs are usually needed in advance of an event so we always have ours up say 60-90 days in advance of say Halloween for example!

That was very smart Bailey to create your own tumbler website and not solely rely on a platform like Etsy. Question: If Congress bans TikTok, what alternative do you recommend to replace TikTok shops please?
I would just continue to use Shopify and drive traffic from Pinterest and maybe add in Instagram :)

I'd even be thrilled to be one of the people you mentioned who fulfill the product orders in their homes (sounds like they put the images on the tumblers and ship them out to customers--that kind of thing). You have family members doing it for you. Can you suggest a way for me to find other business owners who need people to fulfill their orders? Is there a facebook group or similar? Thanks! 😊
I would say local FB Groups in your area would be a good place to start. If you aren't seeing anyone posting for help, you could offer your services in them as well :)

I never thought digital products could be so profitable. The key is in the strategy! 💪
How do you have the time to run 5 businesses, pack orders, balance books and be a mother?
I'm down to just three now, and nothing physical anymore :) I time-block all my monthly tasks into one main task per day usually, so for example, every other Monday will be my design day, Tuesday will be a content filming day, etc. I usually work 830-2pm, M-Thursday, so not too bad. I do have a VA, an editor and my kids are in school till 230, so that does help.
Great progress through all of the business models. Few will go to all of the effort to get there. The only thing I would have for advice is to get a better mic for the videos. The audio was over-driven throughout the full length. Just some audio balancing with a better mic could greatly improve the experience. I am definitely not knocking the content. I enjoyed the video. This is a suggestion for improvement or constructive criticism.
Hey there Bailey, I am in one of your paid groups but now I see you have several other groups as well. Which group would you suggest is the most import I join if I am a person who has focus issues adhd but really need to learn this business well.
Between the 2 paid groups, the group depends on what you are needing help with the most. One is specifically for daily products and the AI to create them, while the other is learning how to scale on Etsy, marketing and selling other digital products off Etsy.

I started selling digital files and I am using Google drive but some of my clients have problems downloading files. What or how do you recommend to store files so people can download with no problems, thank you for your help

I have an attorney who also handles all the bookkeeping/taxes so I really do not handle any of it, besides let them know expenses, etc. :)

How do you deal with people purchasing your design once, then mass producing it on their own?
We used to issue takedowns with Etsy and most of the time, they stop and we have pursued legal action on ones we've copyrighted. Most people stop if they think shop will be shut down :)
Can you share more about your website? Did you use a template on a platform?
I used Wix, but am looking at a new platform that may work better. If it works out after testing, I'll be making a video about it!

Do you attribute your success in your digital store with going viral? Before having a digital shop, you mentioned u only made 10k in sales. So what's the difference between your old shop and the new one that made you succeed?
More listings and a consistent high volume listing uploading frequency as I only had the one viral month that brought in an initial wave customers. After that, I focused on only building my email list and FB group to be able to continually remarket to.
how much time a day do you put into your businesses over all? do you have peeps that work for you? if so how many?
Right now, I work from about 830am - 1pm, Monday - Thursday and I do have a part-time VA and had a part time person filling orders for physical products:)

I do have a full-time VA who helps with all listing, customer service, social media posting and general admin:) I also have a part-time video editor. Other than that, my children are in school until 2:30...so I do have uninterrupted work time from about 9-2pm:) I do block out my time very carefully to make sure I'm as efficient as possible!

Handmade business can and do make this much money and she certainly isn’t doing it alone, I’m sure she has employees that need to be paid and there are many business expenses even with digital products, like the programs (adobe ain’t cheap and it’s not a one time pay to play either) so maybe stay in your lane, your jealousy is showing.
Great video, Bailey! What are your thoughts on dropshipping? I recently hit 30k last month. It involves finding winning products, setting up an online store (I'm lazy so I outsourced that to Alpha dropship), and driving traffic through TikTok.

How do you deal with IP theft, which is rampant online?
We used to do cease/desists and reports with Etsy on ones I have copyrights/trademarks on, but it hasn't been an issue since we did that for about a year. I still get copycats, who will design essentially the same thing just slightly different, but it comes with the territory :)
@@digitallypurposedbailey I do T-shirt designs on Amazon merch for a few years now and I've found my designs on Etsy in these theft stores and they're even selling my stolen Amazon designs as digital downloads and unless I want to pay a lawyer Etsy was useless. So there's grassroots Facebook groups filled with people like me once I tell them there about these stores and they find out they're also selling their stuff they also complain. But yes like playing whack a mole. I think these American companies shouldn't accept these third world ripoff sellers. No creativity they just steal. Parasites.
@digitallypurposedbailey I just watched this video and it is the first I have seen of your videos. I will be checking out many more. Watching someone talk about the nuts and bolts of running a business focused on selling actual products that are not training courses (even though you have made training materials available) has vastly more value than someone who used to sell products online but now concentrates just on training others.
I am presuming that the "$65,000/month" figure represents gross revenue (or sales).
If possible, can you share what your approximate net profit and profit margin are, as well as approximately how much out of that $65,000 the business owner manages to pay to herself?

It seems that the real biz value is her ability to market her cup design on tiktok. Key is how to make that viral to get orders. Otherwise you just get bunch of designs. How do you market your offer, u mentioned ads. So we're those sales profitable? Like amz, often you are net loss before ads turn profitable, if they do. So you are expert in email marketing your products on your specialized list. Means you know how to inbox and captured emails from your Etsy orders. How much time do you spend on tiktok videos?
Do people buy one design and make hundreds of products with the one design ?
Some people do if they have a large Etsy shop or their own site.
Would be nice if you went into implementation and the tech knowledge and software needed etc.
