I love the fact that Fogerty basically invented swamp rock and he wasn’t even from the bayou, he grew up in California. I got to see him in concert a couple of years back and I had tears in my eyes by the end of the show he is one of my all time favorite artists most of my other favorites are dead I’m glad I had an opportunity to see a living legend.
I got to see them twice, in Hawaii. The first time John wore his usual plaid shirt and jeans. But the second time it really blew my mind! John wore a powder blue tux, and if my memory is right, a white chiffon shirt with ruffled collar.
I'm glad you got to see John Fogerty if that's how you truly feel about him. I personally think John Fogerty sucks without CCR. I grew up in the 60's and 70"s listening to the greatest music of all time, CCR was a big part of that.✌❤🌻
This is honest, classic rock, and you can see how the band is actually enjoying what they are doing. CCR was so easy to recognise, both in style and the vocals of John Fogerty. This music will live forever, after most music has been long forgotten
Having grown up in the Delta of Louisiana as a kid, I was amazed that Credence were not from there but from California. Who knew? John Fogerty's voice is like no other's. Always recognizable. Love the music!
I am 71 years old and feel like 24 years old again when I hear John Fogerty what a lovely time I had and good talented sounder oh! How I enjoyed it my mini shirt and 3 inch platform shoes wonderful memories
@@BorisNoiseChannel Don't talk shit about shit you don't know shit about. This is clearly not playback when he's fckin laughing mid song and the song is much different than the studio version.
I come from a "generation that invented" grunge. I have soooo much respect for this kind of rock´n´roll. The talent, tha craftmanship...it´s all there. You can´t deny genius when you see and hear one.
Their entire catalog is celebrated. F number 1 hits. Every song is magic. I was born in 82 and they are my favorite rock band of all time. Just great vocals and classic sounds. Simply amazing.
John was the MAN! Insanely talented, so much charisma, cooler than ice...great song! CCR was the band to beat during those times, no doubt. He's still rocking today, and sounds as good as ever...that boy could SING!
This is a very excellent tune..I've been listening to this song for many years. Who...is still listening in May 31, 2021? I'm 65 Yrs old and perhaps will still be Rockin to it.
Killer classic CCR, as always. The 60’s... strange times. Those bizarre people standing still in costumes and surrounding the band is as close to acid rock that John Fogerty ever got to.
John was so cool during the sound man's flub there...he couldn't help immediately reacting but he quickly recovered himself like the consummate professional he was. I mean, the dude was COOL...
Oh man, the sound man was dogging through the entire song. For most of it he had the reverb jacked up way too high and everything right on the verge of feeding back and then suddenly at about 1:43 he drops the reverb out entirely, then at about 1:49 goes back to too much reverb. You can hear John give a slight chuckle at that point like he's wondering what the hell the guy's problem is but I'm not so sure he was really amused. Like you say though, he played it cool.
I was 20 years-old and serving in Vietnam at the time, so I missed this Andy Williams episode. John and the guys must have laughed like hell at the set up around them! LOL!!
I've been a CCR fan since I was a young college kid in the 1990s. (I get it, I'm young; save the "whippersnapper" comments.) I've always loved Fogerty's vocals, but it's only recently that I've begun to appreciate the real power of his voice. John just exudes an enormous amount of confidence and has the vocals of someone much older and wiser. I look back at myself at that age, and the contrast between Fogerty at that age and me at the same age is stark. I could listen to CCR all day for the rest of my life and never cease to be impressed. He's still rocking in his 70s and I'm grateful for it.
Steven Travers I’m 68 years old, and just last week I was listening to a Charlie Rose documentary about CCR, when the penny dropped. Fogerty is from CA, you’re kidding.
@@jbrown582 With all due respect, El Cerrito is/was hundreds of miles from Hollywood. I realize you meant figuratively, but so do I. It's unfair to dismiss JCF’s comprehensive concept due to your being fooled by geography.
I have loved CCR ever since I first heard Proud Mary when I was 11 or 12. I still think their music is great! I especially love John Fogerty. He is cool, and good - looking, too.
I was 13 in 75 when I found my uncle's CCR albums n fell in love with their music, I've been listening to them ever since. My youngest daughter loves them too, I constantly played their music as they grew up. They've gotten me thru some painful times, always so uplifting❣
A voz de John Fogerty, é sem Explicação além de ser grande guitarrista com um estilo todo próprio, não lembra ninguém...é John Forgety na raiz..FODA..!!
Starting in 1968, CCR just knocked out the Beatles, they cold cocked them off the charts and dominated....Over a 3 year period, Fogerty and CCR just kicked their ass..Every one was listening to CCR then, and people moved on and forgot the Beatles.
Todd Woods I'm kinda curious what that slap back effect is that a lot of those guys used on vocals back then. I know an echoplex was used for guitar but never found out what they used for voice.
It's a shame the record execs didn't listen to him and he lost his brother. All those years he was banned could have produced even more awesome music. When it was lifted he came out with the centerfield album. How talented is this guy? The fact that he played EVERY instrument on that album by himself says it all.
Didn't get to watch the original airing of this ( Dad wouldn't let me stay up to watch it ) and was mad for years......so odd to finally be watching it almost 50 years later !!
I remember seeing this on Dutch television. Before the performance, dancing ladies stand in front of them, singing: "Creedence Clearwater Revival" and than turned away. It was in the time of black and white TV.
Мне, уже за 60 . Всегда нравился рок . С удовольствием слушал и переслушивать по молодости, почти все группы . Но, Криденс для меня , особо любимая банда !
John Fogerty is one of the greatest talents in music history.
All that he touches turns to gold.! ❤️ One of the greatest rock n roll musician the world has seen.!!! God Bless him.
a fucking legend
Isn't the original lead singers name Tom Fogerty?
@@mikekoenig6467 No, Tom was a guitar player...and John's older brother. Tom left CCR in 1970.
This is my favorite CCR song.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllll...... . yes.
Who is here in 2021 I still love CCR!
Fogerty's voice was iconic. You could recognize it with no doubt. His fifs and music interactions were the best. Now legend.
I still listen to CCR today. Timeless rock. Great music.
2022 too
@@rozanaibarra1163 2023 too
There's a video floating around of Charlie Watts drumming to this playing in the background. His rig is set up well but still not as good as Cosmo
Notice the way Fogerty just laughs it off when his microphone starts to feed back instead of letting it get to him. What a class act!

Here in the valley in LA there's a park called Balboa park and sometimes it smells like a green river lol
Invented swamp rock, no.
IT WAS TONY JOE WHITE P0LK .

A band from California that sings songs with a deep south feel. Clever and timeless.
This is honest, classic rock, and you can see how the band is actually enjoying what they are doing. CCR was so easy to recognise, both in style and the vocals of John Fogerty. This music will live forever, after most music has been long forgotten

back when music was real...
Yeah! The sound technician was playing with John's mic and John chuckled it off!
Ken Siefert yeah but there is reverb and a bit of echo on the mic
It never is, when you're play-backing.

It's unbelievable that CCR never had a number one hit. They should be more honored than they are. So sad 😔.
True they are better than the Beatles

Beatles of USA.... nuff said
They deserved way more respect! Amazing band.
The U.S claimed the Beatles just so you know,, Fact... then john lived here...
@Vince Abate I was going to say the vocals with the reverb. Amazingly John hated his own voice and employed that alot. Thank God for us all!
Better than the Beatles in my opinion
