    Just wanted to say thank you for this video. It’s like you saw into my RUclips search history for the last month - this was the video I was looking for 😀! Great channel - great content. I’m off to build my Underhive Sector box now. Cheers!

    Looks good Damion. I got a bit carried away with my columns and walls. They took forever!...and I don't think they look any better.

      I'm sure they do! We never like our own work as much as others do though, always know that

    Great vid! Think I will try it out on my hive war terrain. Any thoughts on using typhus corrosion to add some texture like you do on your minis?

    Hi there Damon. Recent subscriber and big fan of your channel! My group started playing Necromunda this December (just some skirmishes to get a feeling for the game while we prepare for our first campaign). First of all, nice recipe for terrain! Like you I've painted minis for a long time but not really into terrain. Normally we make use of the LGS's terrain but we have to start building a Necromunda board. This will come handy! You can always adorn it with some graffiti (we got a company here in Spain, greenstuff that makes nice decals for gang graffiti). And perhaps some wanted posters and fluffy stuff...
    One question if I may (I searched for this in your channel and couldnt find it; excuse me if you talked about this elsewhere). It seems there's no set board size for Necromunda games (it changes from scenery to scenery). We dont have the zone mortalis tile sets so we were thinking of grabbing a good mat and using our kill team terrain as a starter (not playing ash wastes in the beginning). What size would you recommend? We were thinking a 3x3 foot mat would make for a decent table for shooty and melee gangs? I imagine that kill team boards (22x30 inches) are too small.

      @wellywoodwargaming  Год назад +1

      3x3 is probably the best start but 4x4 is also great. Depends on the types of scenario and gang sizes too if course but I prefer 4x4 myself or 3x3 with lots of height. Cheers

    If you want something actually cheaper, although slightly more complex, and maybe faster still, try oil washes. Paint everything in a brighter shade that usual. Then apply burnt/raw umber or sienna oil wash thinned by whatever odorless mineral spirits you have. Wait 20 minutes to dry. Then, using anything from paper towels to make up sponges, remove the oil wash from the raised areas, then let dry. A single tube of oil paint will likely cost less than the multiple bottles of shade/contrast you need for the same coverage.

      Yeah I use oil washes on everything normally, just didn't for this particular one 😄

    Can you do a vid on how you planned out your new terrain board or are you following rapidtabletop's guide to planning your board ?

      I'm leaving it pretty modular and don't have enough to fill a 4x4 so I'll have to incorporate the other stuff fir now

    I notice you have a lot of the TTCombat MDF terrain too. I’m just wondering what you did with that? It looks like you’ve applied some sort of paint job to it at least? I really like the MDF terrain, but why I’m nervous about painting it is because it’s all a single layer, and so dry brushing it doesn’t work. Did you just use washes? Also, do you find it still tends to blacken your hands?

      Honestly I'm not using in anymore, actually giving it to the guys when I leave. Once you go plastic it's hard to go back it seems

      Haha! Yeah, that was definitely the case with metal figures going to plastic! 🤣🤣🤣
      Honestly, I have only played one game of the New Necro so far. My only other experience playing Necromunda was all those years with the original cardboard terrain. Don’t know what I’m missing! 🤣🤣🤣
      I just find GW terrain so expensive.
      Have you started getting a group for when you come join us across the puddle? 😊

    Well, not with THAT attitude, you're not
    The best painters are the ones that can convince the most people that their paintings are good
