Hey Doug! I definitely appreciate the painting tutorial! I'm thinking the same thing, its daunting trying to get terrain started with no experience. Thanks so much brother, please keep at it!

Most terrain, I spray paint completely black and hit with a grey coat of spray paint. Add washes and details as appropriate. No idea how that would work on this type of terrain. But I agree, keep it simple

Great video. im not a very good painter either but when i did mine i primed it black then sprayed it with leadbelcher the used Nuln Oil all over and what i found was it darkens it right down making it look a little worn but still gives the Impression of solid steal walls which is great as this was the look i wanted, Then i just used a little dirty down rust just here and there its great if you need to knock out lots of walls which is what i had to do as im making and painting a 2x3 space hulk , Then if you need to add any miner detail like lights etc you can do so just to make it stand out a bit . i also used Warplock Bronze for any pipes or vents just adds a little more color. But overall im very pleased with the result. but great vidio and keep up the great work.

It looks very nice. Easy to follow tutorial for a weathered rundown look that'll look great on the table as a backdrop and not distract from the miniatures.
Thanks for an awesome video :)

Sadly, when I first started painting a few months ago, one of my first teams was gobbo’s for Blood Bowl. I managed to do an awesome effect like this worn paint... somehow... haven’t been able to replicate it since...

You coined a new term. Lightning + painting = paitning

This looks great. Have you covered how you paint the rest of the terrain? Specifically the frame bits around the cream sections?

Can you do a tutorial of that black color morphing paint you used on your plague drones wings?

So all in all quite terrible painting video..Nice looking painted terrain, but you only explained how you paint the ushabti bone areas? Those dark brown or black and highlights.
