Like the fact y’all chose to only have them do the door, definitely leaves you the option to do things how you want, wise choice. It’s amazing how they can maneuver that big olé building. Looking forward to seeing the home build adventure, looking good so far👍
I have always enjoyed watching those "Mules" working. Who ever thought of them had the right thinking. The journey has been lots of back breaking, sweat, and a few bruises, on my part. Lol! But the journey is beautiful. Cant wait for the next step! Thankful we get to be a part of it. ❤
Very Nice and I really like the size and that you told us the cost of it. I did a small shed and just the cost of the shed was close to half of your cost. Very Nice! 👍 Be Safe and Enjoy.
We live all the way across the state from there, but we have been to an event at Barefoot Acres. If you haven't checked them out yet, do it! I think they have a fall festival coming up
That was an adventure! I wasn't too sure about the backup plan adjustments for the footers but it turned out great! Will there be any sort of firm anchoring the house down to the footers? I'm just paranoid about something like an earthquake 👀 I could understand though if the overall weight of the house is intended to keep it in place up to a certain point. Looking forward to more progress!!
Nice. It's coming along. I know you guys havent permitted this... but have you asked the county what it would take to do so? I know one thing is septic... but im curious as to whether or not there is a path to get a certificate of occupancy or not.
Some counties will permit them and others won't. It really depends on your official. The shed is built to code, but some officials are biased about them being sheds and say no without even checking them. Technically a shed is only a shed because of what you put into it. Otherwise it's just a prefabricated building. That's what we would be calling it during the permit process. I would never refer to it as a shed. Just a prefabricated house shell that needs permitting. We are building to code anyways, in case the next building official decides that we do need permits.
@@LivingtheHightLife That's a good thing. Government officials tend to "forget" so it's always best in writing. wishing you guys the best on the project.

Thank you so much for filming this and for giving us the cost for this. I hope you have a great week.
Thank you! I have always been curious about it, so I thought others might be as well
That was fascinating!

It ended up being the best choice for us! Plus, now we can add in good quality windows instead of what they would have used
$30k is not bad at all! And it's not some dump either, it's definitely gonna be a nice home. Thanks for sharing!
I'm hoping to keep it under 50k all together 🤞
@@LivingtheHightLife That would be amazing!

Declan loved the mule and was right there watching the guys the whole time. He was mesmerized by the whole process.
@@LivingtheHightLife I bet he was!!

You are very welcome!

Im trying to remember to keep track of all of our costs. I'm hoping to keep the whole build under $50,000
Yay!! Happy for this next step for you! It was fun watching the guys do their stuff. That mule thing they drive is both amazing and scary.
It is! I couldn't stop watching them. You can tell they have so much experience setting these up, but I was holding my breath the whole time 😂
@@LivingtheHightLife sent your video to my kids because they are in the same church with those guys. And yep, they set those things everywhere!
We are looking to homestead soon! We are located in Fountain Inn SC. We should all connect sometime!

Yes! We have metal straps that will be anchored and cemented to the ground
