- A man built a stove for himself to heat his house for 50 hours while saving 50% of wood !
The stove is the heart of the house and it is important how much heat it gives off, how much wood it saves and how long it heats !
The unique bell technology during the construction of the furnace allows not only to retain heat but also to significantly reduce the emission of soot

I worked for a bricklayer one summer in Boston while visiting my sister, all I did was mix mortar for him. By hand in the box with a hoe, and he was fast! I complained about his lack of power tools or mixer for the mortar, he said this is what apprentice bricklayers do boy! 😂 I schlepped my ass off that summer! Great video and outstanding brick work men! You are surely masons! 💪👊
Mixing mortar by hand seperate the boys from the men!!!
Had the same digging trenches for pipework. Oh no, no freakin backhoe, a shovel and a mark to how far in the day. He said if I don't get to it I'm fired. I was dead after the second day and called in sick. I was fired
😂😂 thanks for clarifying!
How long do you estimate that build took?
What a joy watching this guy lay those bricks! A skillful, master bricklayer.
As a Finn I can appreciate this kind of masonry heating system. As a young teenager I helped master mason to build this type of system for heating and other one for cooking for our summer house which was fully usable in winter too. 🤠🇫🇮

This reminds me of a Rocket Mass Heater of sorts. Excellent craftsmanship.
I'm a contractor builder and handyman. This was a magnificent project. It's nice to someone measure mark and cut the same way I do from way far away. Method just works
I'm a bricklayer here in the United States that is an awesome work I wish I had the plans for that stove
Look for "kuznetsov stove" or "печь кузнецова". You will find overall idea of this stove on internet. It is quite simple in fact. By the way - this video was recorded in Poland, but the inventor of this stove - is a russian. I must admit that russian people have great tradition of building such household stoves - and they are real masters in it.
Pläne bringen also nichts.
This man knows what he's doing a custom made stove brilliant workmanship 👍
Most people that watch this video would know what he is doing and appreciate his craftsmanship
Great craftsmanship! Would love to see an explanation of how it works, and the air/heat flow within the stove. It appears to be based on the Russian Stove/Furnace concept. That will last a lifetime!
Look up rocket stove. this has an oven in it.
Eu nunca vi igual .
There's a RUclips channel called, Smokeless Stove for Home. There's a link in the description of this vid BTW.
It's a very well made rocket stove made to look like an old style furnace.
On Wikipedia its filed under Masonry heater.
The principle is the same in all of these regardless of the shape. Basically what you do is extend the chimney into the stove so that the heat in the exhaust can be captured.
But its important its built correctly so you maintain proper draft.
I know of a few people here in Sweden who had these kind of heaters built by people who didnt know what they were doing. Resulting in nothing but back draft..
Another way of making the same effect is to have steel chimney in a labyrinth inside a watertank. Theres a Swedish company selling these kinds also.
Traditionally masonry heaters in Sweden were built as an erect cylinder with tiles on the outside for looks. You find them in many old houses here.
Back then they were built with clay mortar so they had to be rebuilt every 20 years or so.

Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship, definitely an artist of his trade
If I saw correctly you have a nice secondary burn furnace that burns the soot as well and a minimum of the remaining heat goes up the chimmey while storing all the heat in the mass of masonry. You are obviously experienced masons and made lots of this type of heater.
Looks like a heated bench tp the right of the burner too, helps spread heat around the room seen them on rocket stoves
I wondered what the second fireplace was for. That must be why it is called a smokeless fireplace.
It's an oven.
Heated bench = cat warmer.

This should give us all an appreciation for what it took to build the Great Pyramid. So much hard work and meticulous measuring.

I worked in the building trades early in my life, and it’s really satisfying. Don’t know your building something that could last decades even centuries.
The fire and heat will destroy the fireplace after about thirty or forty years, still that is good.
@texas: agreed. Did masonry work many years ago. Most of the homes are still standing and will be after I’m gone.

To niesamowite! Oszczędzasz paliwo, spalając je tylko co 2 dni.
The care and craftsmanship is something else. WOW...

Made something similar in Australia, didn’t need as much heat here, more to suit the customers requirements. Thanks for this.
Oh blah,blah,blah!

Is this what the old masonry stoves and tile are like? The stoves that don’t need a chimney out the roof one that keeps all radiant heat inside? I saw a Masonry stove designed where the stove filtered smoke on the inside and turned the harmful gas into vapor then water. The man who invented the “Rocket Stove” basically used that design an now you can’t find any directions to build one!
@samyoungblood3740 the stove in the video has a chimney.
Such attention to detail, these men are very experienced stove builders from Poland if I heard correct in the few words spoken in the video.
I think I have to watch the long version to understand how the air and combustion gas flow goes, there is a lot of mass to store heat.

Master class in masonry work and craftsmanship good job 👍
Thank you )
@bnn: yep, picked up a few techniques. 👍
Watching videos like this makes me REALLY appreciate the other construction videos I watch (where they actually speak and tell you WHAT they are doing and WHY)!!! 😖
You should have plans for this it’s something we will all need in the very near future
Wow. That is one epic heater/ oven. bravo!
Only time & hard work gives this result.!!
Hi, I made some of these long time ago, I intend to make one more for my house. Could you tell me what brand or exact type of mortar you use, reference, etc ? thanks a lot for this cool video
I was disappointed that 98% of the video was showing nothing but the bricklaying ability of the installers. This the perfect example of the title of the video exaggerating the contents of the video. I was hoping to get to see the stove itself and an explanation of the science behind. IMO, if found the video mainly boring.
Builders did an excellent job. The "producer," however, gets a thumbs down👎 for giving no exlanations how it works: plans/blueprints, diagrams, cc, or anything. Sorry, but you left out the most essential parts.
There's a link to the builder's channel in the description
I very much like a lot apreciate it :)

This man can make a lot of money just selling the designs. And I thought old-world style stoves were a thing of the past.
No theirs a lot to said about old school ways me my father and grandfather told me look back sometimes it can save your ass, And make like EZer. And yes it's payed off .
So very true but the only downsides are is heat rises, so any heat radiating out from the fireplace doesn’t go downwards so often the floor area remains cold!
I saw a similar fireplace thinking it was great but it wasn’t until I installed mine that I realised that I made a huge mistake as the families feet were always cold!
While the end product looks very good! It’s not very practical in today’s lifestyles
@@DaveBooth-qs7sw you likely don't have enough insulation beneath your floor. It is normal that the floor is somewhat cooler than the walls, but not so much that you get cold feet, if there is enough insulation.

Very interesting style of bricklaying. Different than what i am used to seeing.
Not worse, not better just different.
Beautiful craftsmanship...

These guy's do this for a livin 😂 i tendered for 2 italian stonemasons who only built specialty frire places out of bricks and fieldstones, we once built a field stone fireplace in a steak restaurant up the street nort of Boston, it was massive, the foundation and hearth were about 48" by 36' with a 8' fire box it was truly epic and the patrons, employees, and owners all enjoyed it and were in awe. I saw a similar stove in Finland. A man had buit it himself with bricks like this but in hte height of a normal stove and on top were two big round metal plates for cooking food on an below was a small oven like here. The cooking plates were used every day to cook food and were so fast to cook with. Much better than both gas and electricity. I wonder how to find manterial for this Finnish stove.
I know them as a Stufa type. They are very efficient. The heat at the top of the chimney is supposed to be only hand warm such is the heat transfer into the building. I have fed one for a few days my only form of heating in a small flat in winter and was never cold. Even when the fire burnt to nothing at night . The bricks continued to put out warmth. I was an easy convert to the principle.
I love it , Brilliant. Great stoves

Name of the music please. That was the most intricate stove build I,ve ever seen, certainly not for the feint of heart, but you certainly pulled it off. I hope it lives up to its description that will make it worth while.

I have 3 questions
- are there no problems with cracks due to heat expansion/contraction?
- would home-molded concrete bricks work for this?
- are there detailed diagrams of the build design anywhere?
Fantastico, un lavoro da professionisti. ❤
Pretty good work with that type of trowel.
It looks really cool, but how are you going to clean it when it’s time to sweep?
Wow I wish I could find such a highly skilled team of masons to build one of these for me in the UK.
You should check out mass heat rocket stoves made with clay cob and oil drums first. This stove appears to have part of that design with the bench which retains the heat but the video does not clearly show the route that the flue gases travel from the furnace along the bench. I'm not going to like or share this video unfortunately.
Search for masonry heaters, I bet there's people in the UK who either build them or sell DIY plans/kits.
The music was mostly awful, but nothing the mute button couldn't fix. The stove, however, was amazing. Basically this is a complex rocket stove, I've built them. Very efficient. I have one for camping that I welded out of a new propane tank (don't use a used one!) and flat steel. It cooks with twigs. The whole rocket stove thing is so cool.
