    I really like the Classic Range Rovers. The original ones, the reliable ones, the british ones, the non silly ones, the elegant ones and the really good ones!

    Just beautiful! Switzerland is nice too, but it’s getting much too crowded, compared to Norway! Even in the Swiss mountains, you have traffic on Weekends, like in a City!!! It’s terrible, and I almost envy you beautiful and empty nature...😊

      Hey Bruno and thank you for sharing. Switzerland looks amazing I want to go there at some point. But if it so much traffic I'm nut sure. Is there an off season time when it's better to travel in Switzerland? And btw. new video from Norway just out. 👍

      Vielen Dank Joachim. 😊 My german skills are really bad so I'm not going to try.
      It is a very nice area and many places to set up camp, and if the weather is good you will have some great views.
      September is a really good time as well as you will get all the autumn colours.
      Best, Simon

    And again what a magnificent video with a great lineup on the dam! 3:33 your daily problems as a Range Rover classic owner :-D The music fits perfect to the video and makes it very epic also the landscape is so beautiful, but i missing the V8 sound during the tunnel crossing ;-) thank you for sharing :-)

      Thank you so much Daniel! Hehe, the drivers side window is a pain, but the passenger side is not to bad. V8 sound, I know, mic not picking it up. It was sounding so good to, I will mount a gopro with a mic on the rear next time to get the true V8 feeling. But good to let me know, makes me step up mye game and it makes this channel so much better. Cheers! 😀

    wonderful video! Simon, Eric let you drive his classic- he thinks a lot of you, buddy. I own a 1969 Pontiac GTO ( no, not a Land Rover) but I am scared to have anyone drive it but me... Eric is a GREAT BUDDY to allow that... Although I know that YOU are also a GREAT driver... Thanks for the videos, and bringing back memories of my earlier days when I traveled, and enjoyed the views. Please keep the videos coming.... :-)

Thank you for watching and it makes me really happy to hear that my videos brings out some good memories. I try to show how great it is going on these trips with firends. Pontiac GTO, not bad, would have been fun to take it for a spin. :) Hopefully bringing it back in one piece. 😀 We are car all car guys, I don't care about brands, I just landed on Land Rover as others land on something else. 😀 More videos to come in 2020, next one tomorrow. 😉 Cheers

      Yes it was! Late summer so almost no trafic. As you saw the cafe as closed for the season. I think the late summer and fall would be the best time to visit, could get a bit could during the night but the views and the colors will be amazing.

    You should get a ham radio. Also come and explore Canada!
    I want to import a diesel here! Any ideas? Only gas for us with very bad milage!

    • @LandRoverDrive
      @LandRoverDrive  5 лет назад

      Hey, and Canada would have been awesome. We are currently just using some cheap radios for shorter distances. For HAM radio, you need a license in Norway. Maybe do this later if we have the need for it. Importing diesels, Im not sure how to help here, I basically know nothing about exporting cars. 😀 But hope you find it out and thanks for watching. More to come so stay tuned and be sure to like and subscribe. 😀

      @@LandRoverDrive We need a licence for ham in Canada as well, it's for safety in remote places.

    Love this place! It seems to be very peacefull! Thanks for sharing. Is it possible to know the location?

    • @LandRoverDrive
      @LandRoverDrive  5 лет назад

      Hey, you are very welcome. Love going on these trips, filming and sharing them with like minded people. We were driving this pretty late in the season so almost no traffic or people, best time to go I think. The location are all in the video, but we drove up from Sunndalsøra, on the Aursjøvegen road, and ended up in Eikesdalen. It's a road administered by the turist center for the area. 😀 Hit me up if yuo have more questions.

      @@LandRoverDrive thanks a lot! We will maybe come this summer. Is it possible to camp anywhere in this area?

    • @LandRoverDrive
      @LandRoverDrive  5 лет назад +1

      @@offtrackfamily There are camping places on both ends of the mountain pass road and some location at Aursjøen and one other. In Norway you are allowed to free camp almost anywhere you want, so there are some spot's along the road where you can stay. But you need to stay on the road, or other side roads, parking areas or road shulders, as it's a national park. I saw some good spots to camp along the way. I think one of the best spots will come up in part 3 of this series. 😀 But I think it all comes down to the weather and which way the wind blows. BTW: You can drive the road both ways. 😀

    Can you recommend a proven snow chains for off roading (285 75 16)?

    • @LandRoverDrive
      @LandRoverDrive  5 лет назад

      Hey, depending on what you are doing. Chains, in my opinion, are mainly for "only when you need them", so you don't brake anything on your car. If you are like us, overlanders first and offroaders second, you can easily get away with quick chains. Check out ruclips.net/video/lRRY4_AQQ_M/видео.html at 14:10, here I am using quick chains. Metal chains but it only take about a minute to put on on each wheel. If you are doing some hard core off-roading I would go with the proper trucker/tractor chains. Chekc out ruclips.net/video/Woa35HfUlMA/видео.html at 3:30, here we put on some hard core chains on the RRC. When it comes to brands of chains, I don't know. I got the quick chains on a regular car accessories store. "CARWISE" is the brand i bought. The ones on the RRC was made for the Land Rover Series back in the day for the Norwegian Military. :) I have some other hard core chains in the garage, I can check the brand if you like.

    Good evening,
    your Range Rover is very beautiful, it is a car that I know well for having had one. When you drive you do something that damages the gearbox, you leave your hand too long on the gear lever and this damages the forks of the gearbox which make it less precise in shifting, and one day the gears will eventually no longer lock and it will eventually jump and you will find yourself at dead weight every time you want to shift into gear.
    It's just advice I give you.
    Long road to you.

    • @LandRoverDrive
      @LandRoverDrive  4 года назад

      Hey and thank for watching! 😀 It's Erik's RRC but I will let him know about this comment. I did not know that this could end up damaging the gearbox. Good to know and thanks for sharing! 😀
