    This brought back really nice memories. Growing up we had a Tuscan blue one, ERB 316T, Erbie. My late father took us on many holidays to Lake Vrynwy and Cornwall, even with the overdrive he was convinced the petrol tank had a leak due to how it drank fuel. I would love one but the prices now are just silly, maybe one day I’ll win the lottery and be able to buy one.

    Engine built "to original specifications". Why? It would be very easy to improve upon that engine's reliability and power with a few modern touches, something the engineers back then would have done if the tech had been available.

    You had to be a real wheel smith to hustle a Range Rover in the 70s & 80s both my Dad (83 Vouge) and his mate (76 3dr) were! When we drove past a petrol station my Dad would fake a swerve and say "look at that he's going for the pumps" He nick named ours (EFH 279Y) Chivers as it handled like a jelly! He replaced it with a TVR 350i.

    For a fully restored car, the panel gaps on the doors is not good.
    Is this an original 'feature'? The doors hang like the hinges are worn out.

    Shut lines are appalling. Where the bottom of the door meets the bottom sill, it has a huge gap and bow in it. There's not a shut line that is straight on the whole car!
    It actually looks like it's been a wreck where two cars have been joined together. The driver's door in particular is horrendous! Pretty dodgy looking 😬

    It’s lovely and I’m sure it’s going for top money,however the devil’s in the detail so could do with a replacement E on the bonnet and the driver’s door is quite badly out of line.
    But I am being picky and would love it.

    • @douglaspealing5608
      @douglaspealing5608 3 года назад

      The E is a good point...
      The door however. It's probably as good as they could get it. This is a very early one, during a time when land rover were still making series land rovers... at the time they weren't known for precision assembly.

    Doesn’t add up. As others have said the, the doors look wrong, the number plate is wrong, the badge is broken. Good review, bad car to review. I’d like to know whether it was deliberate. Seems too obvious to be shoddy workmanship. Should have mentioned it, would have been helpful.
