Why is watching someone clean windows so satisfying? 🙂
Yeah😊 I’m about to get a window cleaning job by the way!
No doubt. I worked in an office that had glass walls everywhere. It was so satisfying watching the guy clean.
I had to learn how to clean windows like a pro and bought some tools. Life changing around the house. Especially the big mirrors in the bathroom. The wife was so impressed at a large completely streak free and perfectly clean mirror.
Well worth learning how and spending some money.
The more I watch these vids the more I’m contemplating as adding it to my carpet cleaning business. I’m already cleaning the carpet and furniture 🪑 might as well get the windows to 💴 lol
Definitely lower overhead then carpet cleaning from what Ive heard from other carpet cleaning companies
Could you make a video on the bare tools you'd need to start? I got my work vehicle and have the money for work insurance. But I'll have about 500-600$ to get tools after that. I plan on buying more and better stuff as I get money. Your videos are the most informed I've watched.
Great setup in the truck SteveO! It’s time to do some reorganizating
I love the Vlogs! I could watch them all day.
Don't know why but this is one of my favorite videos......
Im about to launch very soon and just want to thank you for all these helpful videos brother, really. Thank you so much. You’re the man!
Best of luck!
Thank you for all your videos SteveO. Im starting up my Window Cleaning business here in Cali soon. All the legal stuff like LLC and bank account done. Waiting on my huge delivery from WCR here soon.
You’re very welcome!! Best of luck!
@@SteveOthewindowcleanerI’m using your tool belt set up from 2022 video. Except I’m trying out the Takaki Boab. I bought two Moerman 2.0 channels. One for Ettore brass and another for Liquidators. Also the ledge eze since you seem to always have one handy.
@@noahsmediahow’s it going? I currently run a business and work with a lot of grocery and convenience stores and I’m considering starting window clean because I already have some sort of a relationship with the managers and owners, just trying to see how it’s going for others outside of the guys that post on RUclips
Th3 contour pro plus for the super channel is my favorite for use with ettores pro + poles.
Beautiful work😊
Thanks a lot 😊
Nice Truck !
Well done.
Thank you!
Great man, love to see this kind of videos 👌
Thank you!
Thanks for all of the videos Steve! Inpsired me to place an order for window cleaning equipment and start my business up once my snow removal season finishes!
Couple quick questions about your tools, what is the 5ish inch scraper looking thing at 8:07, and scrubbing handle / pad thing at 8:19?
Thanks in advance!
Hey that is this scraper windowcleaner.com/products/unger-ergotec-ninja-scraper?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS and this pad windowcleaner.com/products/steveos-techno-pad-kit?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS
What product should i use to clean
Where do you get those XL ninja micros? I can only find 16x16” on WCR-love em but want larger size
Steveoooooo!🤙🏻💯
👊
Great video! What type of scrapper and blades do you like using? I use Triumph.
Agreed. Triumph blades are NICE! And I personally switch between the unger scraper handle and the triump ALLWAYS 6inch🤓
I've been using the unger ninja scraper mostly and stainless blades from Unger
Have you ever used chamois? It’s the only thing I use tbh lol besides the yellow Kirkland micro fibres for the frame and sills
I haven't but an old school window cleaner I worked with a long time ago that's all he would use and he damn good so I am sure they're great
All the old school company’s here in Ottawa Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 use em the other newer companies use tuck towels and so on I find
Good to hear im not the only window cleaner with the moans and grunts😂 My old boss asked me if I was getting old.. I was 22 at the time🙄
hahaha people always asked when working with me if I was dying? lol
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner yeah, exactly! 😂
Hi, Nice video and fun, question? It is necesary use The abrasivo pad in all windows clean? Or in what momentos good use It?
It just gets through that extra layer, so I like to do it
Shopping forinsurance, any recommendations to look into?
I go through state farm for my general liability but I would reach out to a local broker and they can get you the best deal usually. Look for at least 1 million in coverage
What is the razor scrapper for?
👍🏼
Love the Unger ninja towels also Unger scrims are amazing as well but have been loving squeegee life towels
Hey Stevo, what blades do you recommend for internal and external residential houses?
I'm a big fan of ettore, the ledge eze is perfect for residential windowcleaner.com/products/ettore-complete-brass-ledge-eze-squeegee?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS
Newbie window cleaner here, what do you wipe the window with after you use the scrubber at 4:22? My guess is a microfiber cloth but I’m not sure
windowcleaner.com/products/xero-walnut-scrub-pad?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS walnut pad
Ok why? What’s it do?
so you dont take the screens off and clean the window?
What T-bar are you using Steve? and are those Ettore channels on the moerman squeegee?
That is an ettore channel with the moerman handle windowcleaner.com/products/ultimate-squeegee-combo?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS
Tbar I am using an unger ninja with this sleeve windowcleaner.com/products/ettore-pro-microfiber-sleeve?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS
What kind of camera you using here ! Great video quality
Go pro hero 10
Question for you when you are pricing and say 5 dollars a window does that 5 dollars include inside and out or is 5 dollars outside and another 5 for inside. I'm trying to figure out my price scale.
$5 for outside only, $8-$10 for in/out
so do i have to use di or pure water if im cleaning interior windows? can i just use facet water with dawn dish soap and squeegee it?
Normal water from the tap and dish soap is perfect
When doing residential windows, do you have to take all screens off? Is there a way to clean second floor windows that have screens without a ladder?
I’m not sure about the screens, some people ask the customer to take them off before hand but I know a lot of times they’ll use extension poles to avoid using ladders
Where do you get your towels from? Especially that luscious brown one? Lol...seriously.
Been watching a lot of your videos recently, as I just started my own window cleaning business. Right now all I'm using is the Unger Ninja and the S-Plus. What do you recommend for the least detailing? Heard you talk about ettore brass channels, but looks like it's an S-Plus you are using here? :)
I like to use brass, and I find the detailing is minimal, I usually need to clean the frame anyways so detailing does not slow the process down
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner Thank you for the answer. What I see here in Denmark is that a lot of the window cleaners do not do a whole lot to the frames. The prices are also way lower than what you charge in the US. A regular house is no more than 30 - 40 dollars. So it needs to be fast and precise. Why is it the excelerator is a no go for you? Does it really eat through rubber a lot faster than other channels?
Just out of curiosity why did you do it with a squeegee over water fed pole? Wouldn’t water fed eliminate the need for moving ladders?
For this job it was freezing in the morning so didn't even want to take it out and it was too quick with a squeegee to not do it that way I guess
@SteveOthewindowcleaner glad someone already asked I was curious about this aswell. I just got my llc and plan on starting as soon as I order and recieve your kit from WRC . Allot to learn obviously it's a pretty simple task at hand but I was curious if hand tools or anything extra I could pick up to have on hand. I'm guessing you only use product on really bad windows or if you're not running the water fed system .
Man just like old times
What is that little tool you use to scrub the windows with sometimes? At 5:48
windowcleaner.com/products/unger-ergotec-ninja-scraper?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS thats a scraper
Does the steel wool scrape the glass?
No just helps cut through the extra dirty layer of dirt
More I see stack ladders the more I'm thinking it is a wise investment...
What's that tool called? The flat square thing, seen at 08:18. Thanks
thats a walnut pad windowcleaner.com/products/xero-walnut-scrub-pad?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS
What is that thing that you’re using after you put the soap on the windows, to rub it in almost. Sponge of some sort?
Hey that is a walnut pad windowcleaner.com/products/xero-walnut-scrub-pad?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS
Do you ever really use anything less than a 14” for residential or commercial?
What are the best two sizes to get started? I’m on a budget 🙃
Definitely, sometimes a 6”, I always have all sizes between 6” and 18” in brass channels and then just some sizes in the squeegee I use in this video.
Best sizes to get started, 6” , 10” and 14” IMO I know that’s 3 but you’ll want them
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner is that for residential? What about for storefront commercial? Which sizes are a must to get the job done?
@@MichaelBrianInc Yes for residential, for commercial its best to go with 18" or 22" IMO
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner
22 rocks
I’ll buy your X2 I live in Oklahoma and pay for shipping
Just curious why you didn't use the water fed here
Not all the windows were locked so I decided to just go trad
What's that scrub thing you use on the windows, steel wool?
Walnut pad windowcleaner.com/products/xero-walnut-scrub-pad?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS
What's a walnut pad?🤨
What size is the under green squeegee please?
Its a 14" Unger ergotec XL windowcleaner.com/unger-complete-ergotec-xl-squeegees?pt=MY
Do you remove screens? If so do you charge for it? I tell customers if they want them removed they have to do it. Damn things are so brittle and break.
Yep, I always remove them for the most part, its very rare I dont
Same here. Charge for taking screens off
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner
Hey Steve, how much do you charge per screen clean?
What grade steel wool do you use?
0000
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner 👍👍
how much do you make per year doing this sorry for a personal question just wanna know where i could be aiming to get doing it
$75k -$125K is a good range
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner nice
@@SteveOthewindowcleanerdamn, I figured you’d be one of those guys saying it’s easy to make $1000 a day lol 😂 do you mostly work with residential or commercial? And if you do any commercial work, what’s your prices typically look like?
@@Moneymaker-sl5jk I’ve done it all except high rise, if you’re an owner then it’s possible to make 6 figures after 1-2 years of creating the business and hustling. But it takes time to get to $1,000 a day and even at that some projects don’t go as planned.
I'm 13 and go door to door and clean windows makeing money
Nice, are you insured and licensed?
Anyone think it’s ok to start Window Cleaning in Florida During Winter?
Shouldn’t be too cold?
I'm pretty sure thats a great season to begin in Florida, unlike more Northern States, winter in FL can be a busy time
Winter in Florida IS season.
Just be very careful you don't want to get your fingers frozen in this Florida subzero temperatures 😊
considering it never rains and doesn't get too cold in the winter, yes it's good
Where is the van??
Sold it!
I know you're working with window cleaning re source but you said you haven't done cleaning in a long time or a while how can you not do cleaning? Don't you customer's call and sayi need my windows cleaned?I have to work everyday and they call me and I have to get their ASAP I don't know what I would say to my customers . Not sure if i understand you correctly 😀👍
I planned it out a few months ago and took a vacation, and planned out extra time off.
Would be cooler if ya had a ford 🤓
I did lol that piece of 💩 king ranch. Had it in 2016-2018 and spent a ton of money on fixing it. Never going back to Ford but you also got a diesel so that’s better then the F150
No more van amigo??
Nope, I sold it a couple months ago. Had the truck already and the transits were selling for way more then I originally paid so just made sense
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner perfect
He doesn't give any advice this just window cleaning ASMR
Clean that truck
Its controlled chaos 😉
What pad are you using for the abrasive? Is it walnut?
Yes a walnut pad
windowcleaner.com/products/xero-walnut-scrub-pad?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS
It's mad the price you earn in usa compared to the uk uk 3 bed houses are tiny on average 8 windows 🪟 we only get £10
that type of money isn't even worth getting out of bed for. on average people make way less in the UK than the USA. I'm a lorry driver and I make $90k a year, I've heard of people in england only making $40k to do it.
