Hey SteveO, is the cliche chemicals hi slide practically the same as winsol super slip? like do they do the same type of thing by keeping the solutions staying wetter longer?
Saw this technique in an ad for a window cleaning conference and gave it a try, and so far it's been an effective process, especially living in Southern Arizona.
The double hand method is priceless and has saved me many times. Seeing this technique again reminded me of houses with pet hair on the inside glass. I would scrub the window down, and then do a fan with the strip washer to pull the pet hair down and off the glass. It helped a lot.
I've been out of work for 8 months now....I'm getting into window washing so this is a great video....I'm learning a lot from your videos and I will be purchasing this kit....thank you for your videos...
It really depends on the time you can spend on a job and the temperature, but i like to just keep mopping the window until the glass is a little cooler and and the really agressive evaporation is over.
STEEEEVOOOOO!!!! I use 2 trad poles one with mop and the other with squegee THAT WAY I SPEND LESS TIME SWITCHING BETWEEN MY TBAR MOP AND SQUEGEE , I DONT USE THE FLIQ PAD ANYMORE, I always redunk my mop AND no rinse for each window TO GET AS MUCH WATER (SOLUTION) ON THE GLASS , I dont use dawn soap anymore I USE WINSOL APC 100 2 CAP FULL FOR 3 GALLONS OF WATER AND 1 CAP FULL SUPER SLIP. LESS DETAILING AND NO SOAP STREAKING LIKE DAWN.

I LOVE USING TWO POLES TOO, ITS PRICY BUT LESS ANNOYING AND YOU GAIN SPEED
I been cleaning windows for 6 years and the best way to clean windows in the sun is with two poles when your working by yourself saves a lot of time then working with one pole
I think the problem is that the newer Fliq pads actually hang a little lower than the old ones, putting the squeegee a little higher instead of more center on the pad. So there is still water in the bottom part of the wash pad but it isn’t being pressed to the glass.
In the 3 years I worked for Fish, I had a lot of high glass that I had to clean in direct sun using only an ettore backflip and unger super pole because that was the equipment given to me. I had to basically wet about 2ft of glass, squeegee, then 2ft more, squeegee, repeat... Pain in the ass and tiring, but a great workout lol.
What’s the difference between the soft rubber and hard rubber? When should I use each? Pretty sure company I work for only supplies us with soft rubbers year round and I live in nj.
Hard rubber is for summer, soft rubber for winter. Ettore master rubber is a great in between for all weather windowcleaner.com/ettore-master-squeegee-rubber?pt=MY
I do a lot of north facing properties in australia, its tough work. I sometimes hit them with the hose to try and cool them. Very watery mop and two hand technique. I once was cleaning windows in like 38 degrees c with a strong wind and it was just drying before I could get it off even with the two hand technique.
Hey mate. I'm about 2 months into my busniess now and stuff is going well. Still gaining customers regularly so getting closer and closer to paying the bills each month. How do you do straight pulls without leaving any streaks? Just leave a few mm of dry glass at the top?
Leaving that dry zone at the top as well as feathering the top and making sure that you angle your squeegee on the way down. If you do all of that but still have streaks/lines, maybe check if it's time to change your rubber. If the glass is hot, you may have to only wet about a 2ft width of glass, pull down on that, then wet the next 2ft of glass, pull down that, and repeat... Hope this helps!
Another great video. I really appreciate your content. I was wondering what sort of tool you use to pop screens? I bought one off of WCR and it broke. I can’t remember seeing what you use in any of your videos
Is it the same method when doing car windows? I have a detailing business and today was very hot day. I used my window cleaner and it just cooked right up and it was very opaque and hazy. Is there any way to work around that?
I'd use a hose. When I house wash roofs I cool it down with water before I spray the chlorine on it. With windows you could do the same. Why don't you window washers use a soap dispenser and wash the entire outside structure? Laundry detergent with vinegar works perfectly.
Because he's using a special rubber, he mentions the brand at the beginning. When you clean windows with a Squeegee that came with a stock rubber it won't work for zero detail cleaning. He is also using the excellerator 2.0 squeegee which puts more pressure on the ends for zero detailing.
I wanna make one of those moerman excelerator ettore brass with the flip but i dont like the teeth cutting and tape work.. probably gunna go unger ninja this summer.

Great techniques also

😎🤘🏼Excellent techniques for days like these. Learning how to use the fliq-pad is a MUST!!

I'm cleaning in -2°c in the uk at the moment.
You're making me jealous Steve🤣
In the direct sunlight setting the Excelerator to 10° makes it easier to straight pull to the sill.
Your the best hands down bro
Thank you Brent!
I’m fine using less soap on glass that is hot works out better or I use the glass gleam blue it works perfect on a California summer day
How often do you clean these windows? They look very clean already.
Oh nvm u said quarterly 😂
Thanks for the video. Went cleaning window you have to do the inside too. I’m trying to figure out how to start my business.
Did you start it, if so how did it go?
Well I have got to admit using a pad and squeezy is so relaxing I do miss it

Most definitely, it can get very tedious especially when it’s a long wall of windows in the blazing sun
Just keep the window really wet, not so much soap. No need for messing about with extra solutions
really? why?
@@nougat5357 less soap it’ll dry quicker. Get it really wet and blade it while it’s wet

I nothing about window cleaning, what are the different types of squeegees and what are the decent brands?
Love ya work👌🏻
congratulations on the work
I am starting a cleaning business that does window cleaning. How do you go about pricing your window cleanings?
Try to use less soap to stop the bleeding.
Using a lot of soap seems to cause the bleeding.
Great videos Steve, still wondering on pricing . What would you charge for a single window that size you've just done ?
For outside only $3-$4 depending on frequency of cleaning
Thank You SteveO!
New sub, cold soda, sandwich in hand... BINGE WATCH TIME! Thanks for the content!
What’s the brand of squeegee do you use? The one you are using for the top of the window? Thanks in advance

Where do you get the water from? Do you carry your own supply? Or do you just get it from the garden hose? What about in commercial areas?
From a water source

What toolbelt/ holsters do you use?
Hey mate my is Lucky from SouthAfrica, can I please ask you a Quick Question where can I get the same kind of set wag tail squeegee and tele pole?

Steveo, how do you go about obtaining commercial accounts?
I always did in person cold calling, and then follow up until they accept or tell you to F-off lol
Are you useing the handle on the 25 degrees most often? or do you click back to 40 in hand?
40 in hand 95 percent of the time

Not sure on the window count, but at least a couple hundred and its at about $2.50 a side for quarterly

I have that same handle. How does that channel compare to the Moerman liquidator 2.0 channel if you know?
So much smoother then the liquidator

On adding chemicals to slow evaporation, I don't believe that happens, and if it does it's not enough to make a difference.
