- Continue your development in air-to-ground combat in the Mirage 2000C by learning about CCRP bombing by HUD target designation. This tutorial covers the Mark 82 low-drag bombs, the SAMP 250 low drag bombs, and the GBU-12, GBU-16 and GBU-24 laser guided bombs. Develop an understanding of their parameters, employment and attack profiles.
This tutorial takes place on the Persian Gulf map in DCS World.
Reiver uses the English variant of the Mirage 2000C cockpit, because he is an uneducated barbarian.
Reiver is not a hardcore milsim-er - he just likes playing the game well - if you're looking for something more authentic, please consult the flight manual.

The professionalism you put in your videos is a pleasure to watch!
Thanks very much. I know some people don't like it but you can't please everyone!
I randomly stumbled over this video and made a decision...
u are a hidden gem :) this was a very informative and well made video!
good job
Glad it was helpful! Welcome to the madhouse!
best way to introduce the mirage. "the 'unflappable' ... MIrage 2000c ..." hahaha :D :D
Well she is, isn't she!? 🤣
i'm watching this video like i'm having m2000, it's just interesting to watch)
Ahh glad you're finding them interesting. It's a great aircraft!
Thanks for the video. When using GBUs, do you know what’s the procedure to move to the next target? My second GBU does not get guided ….
I suppose that would depend on how the JTAC is programmed to act in the mission editor. Off the top of my head, I can't think how a series of targets is programmed but I'm sure it is doable and I expect you would need to go through the "nine-lines" process with the JTAC in mission each time for each successive target to get them to lase.
@@reiver1-1 Thanks Reiver. I will check and post here if iam successful:)
It didnt occur to me that CCRP can be used for dive bombing. Turns out I often fly too low for the computer to authorize a dive bombing
Yes, I've tended to use CCIP for dive bombing in other aircraft but with the delivery modes unchangeable in the 2000C, it forces your hand to use it. I actually quite like that you can't change it as it encourages you to use one of the 'mandated' attack profiles, which you then become familiar and proficient with.
Hey! Very informative vid! Now I´ve got a quesion: I cannot designate a target. The little steering wings won`t show up. I´m sure the plane is setup correctly, and i DO use the right AG-designate button...I watched all kinds of videos, read posts and tried everything I can possibly think of. Ever heard about this happen...I´m pretty frustrated, I even reinstalled the mod, uninstalled ALL mods..pls help!😵💫
Thank you!
Do you get the "weapon ready" wings -- but not the "roll order" steering wings - -- - ? If so, first check that your radar is switch on and emitting, and your radar altimeter is switched on, following which ensure that TAS radar ranging and RS radar altimeter trigonometrical ranging are selected on the PCA.
If you don't get the "weapon ready" wings --, check that the Master Arm is on, the bombs are fused on the PPA, and a bomb quantity other than 0 is selected on the PPA.
Let me know how you get on.
@reiver1-1 any plans on making the mission files available for us the practice? It'll be of great help if we could try the same mission and practice after watching your great videos :) Thanks.
I've certainly thought about it, I just haven't had the time to verify and package them. There is one available on the www.reiver.one companion website at the minute.
@@reiver1-1 do you need to package them, as in? The regular .miz files will work and be sufficient correct?
Sorry, im a noob when it comes to mission editor, so I don’t know packages are in that sense … hehe
@muzzman1030 Sorry, by verify and package, I mean ensure any scripting and triggers work (which I am not an expert at) and include enough information so that the learner can follow them (I don't like putting out half-baked and inferior products if I can avoid it).
Perhaps if I find some time, I will upload a few more.
@@reiver1-1 ah, got it.
Your work is top-notch quality work man. I really enjoy it, so I appreciate your art and effort and it’s pretty clear that a lot of effort has gone into it and you don’t put out half-baked/inferior stuff. Your stuff is baked perfectly 👌👌.
Thanks.
What Keybind do I need to designate a target in my Hud?
It's called the Weapon System Paddle. If I remember correctly, it is listed as "Magic Slave/AG Designate", or words to that effect.
@@reiver1-1yup this is correct!
